Rooms are really showing their age. Although very clean. Its getting shabby. Beds very comfy! The casino needs better air circulation. Machines are not good at paying!

Lost 700 bucks with NOT ONE win more than 10 bucks. Been to over a couple dozen casinos in 8 states, never experienced such horrible losses. And it's not just once. I've been to majestic maybe 10 or 15 times and NEVER won. A good friend of mine lives right outside the casino next to speedway and would rather go to river casino then majestic because the odds are that bad there

Truck broke down so I came here for 2 nights. Hit the blackjack tables with $200 10 hours later I walked away with $900. First time in a casino. Everyone was really nice here, the chop house was amazing try the cab cakes.

The rooms are basic, no fridge or microwave. But the bed is comfy and the tv is bright. I will come back someday.

Well this is my boat, I wins there more than any others boats. They give out nice gifts, people's are nice, the only problem I have is they never call my name for there big prizes out all those years I have been going. Wow maybe next time. I enjoy playing at the Majestic Star😂Amen

The rooms are over priced, especially for Truck Drivers, two towels in a room that sleeps at least two people, when everyone knows a woman uses two towels to shower, No fridge or microwave in the room, have stayed in cheaper motels that had fridge and microwave, the choice of coffee in the rooms is nasty, will go back for the casino, but won't stay in the over priced motel again, very disappointed

Now about the way over priced Buffet,
Where was the shrimp?!!! Two people being charged 70 plus dollars for the buffet and one doesn't even eat crab legs is a bit much, the crab legs cooked with the crawfish and clams were NASTY!!!! The crab legs on the far end were cold, definitely won't be eating there again, not for that price

I do not know how this hotel is ranked at 3 or 3.5 stars. The beds were really comfortable, but the rest ofnthe room had issues. First we had requested a non smoking room, it was confirmed as non smoking and yet it reeked horribly of cigarette smoke. There were several burn marks on the bathroom sink, so if this room is no longer a smoking room but was at one time, it needs to be overhauled cause the smell hasn't left. Next there was a decent sized gap next to the tub and wall that looked like it had been caulked multiple times. The curtains did not offer any sheers just the blackout blinds which meant either no outside light or all of it. Lastly we walked from the hotel to the casino, about a 5 min walk. Hallways were dirty, tons of dust and food were caked on the floor.

As far as service and the staff if I could rate them separately I would give them a 5. Everyone was no nice, friendly and helpful! What this hotel lacks in cleanliness and upkeep it more than makes up for in its high quality staff service.

Still I am going with a 2 rating because these other areas of opportunity are so abundant.

Room was fairly cheap and clean. Our room was facing the lake, so that was nice to get to see. We just stayed overnight here one night on our trip to Chicago.

I took my wife to the buffet on crab leg night. That was on 9-9-17. The crab legs were salty as hell. We didn't enjoy them at all. We notified the manager and she stated that the crab legs come that way. I will say that the fried chicken & fried catfish were good and mashed potatoes.

The Majestic Star has been around for over twenty years. Both boats need some cosmetic improvements, but the staff. for the most part unbelievably friendly! Unfortunately, the last visit to Jackpot Java was not pleasant. I stood in line for 10 minutes and was told they didn't have any hot dogs or polishes ready. Terrible! And was also told they run out of hot dogs all the time. I wasn't offered anything for my inconvience. Thumbs down for my last visit.

The service was good. The hotel could use an upgrade. The rooms are nice and spacious. It looks as though the rooms have been updated. The bathrooms are much nicer now. Overall i would definitely recommend the hotel.

We played some slots and video poker. Of course we lost all of our money. The drinks were super weak. The food at the chophouse was really good. I had the French onion soup and it was perfect. My friend had the ribeye and he liked his too. The staff was very friendly and helpful, both in the restaurant and the gambling area. If it wasn't for the pee smell and the general sadness of the place, I would give it 4 stars.

This is a pretty nice place. The only reason I didn't give it a higher score was due to Horseshoe being so close and huge. I liked the smaller rooms at the Majestic for gambling, and the lake was nice.

'Boat' casinos in the middle of an industrial wasteland. The boats themselves are certainly boats from the outside, but they are permanently attached to the dock to skirt gambling laws. The larger one even had a nice two story room with themed chandeliers. Interesting, but definitely a step down from other more permanent casinos within an hours drive.

One of the original Indiana riverboat casinos, dated, but still a really great experience. Unlike a majority of other local casinos that have moved to the massive barge layout, the Star still has it's original design, with the open mezzanine floor plan that made it classic in the first place. The craps dealers and pit bosses are friendly and helpful, always attentive and willing to guide new players on how to play craps with the experts. Definitely worth the trip!
