We took our inner city church youth group to cut down their own trees. The first young man we met was very helpful and sweet.
I was shocked by the attitude of the "employees" at the checkout. When I asked if they needed my phone number or tax ID she called the owner who stated they charge tax to everyone. No discounts for ANYONE!
Trim Pine's prices are much higher then other tree farms with in a 20 minute drive of the church. We as a church nor our family will ever be shopping at Trim Pine Farms again.

Ron and I went to talk to Mike there about our scrubs and he was so helpful in giving us all the information about putting new ones and how to plant them and keep them up. I would recommend him to anyone having trouble of any kind in landscaping. We also are using his mulch and Diary Doo with all our landscaping.

I've been working with Trim Pines for landscaping/ tree planting at my home and business for years. Their customer service and knowledge is always top notch! They always have great advice for me when it comes to tree planting and anytime I have a question, they have an answer. Anytime we purchase trees, they take the time to drive us us around the farm, explain the characteristics of the different tree species and make great recommendations based on our needs. Customer service like this is hard to find these days. Keep up the great work Trim Pines!!!

I would like to rate this place, but just couldn't justify paying $20 for the four of us to get in to see if they had anything we wanted to purchase. I told the girl at the "Admission" booth (at a tree farm? Really?) that we wanted a tree, not an experience--she started educating us about how people were ripping her family off because "they were coming to ride the hayride, drink the cider, and see the christmas stuff and then not buying a tree". I get it--but screwing us out of money for a cover charge--with no offer of a refund or credit toward a purchase, seemed ridiculous. In fact, she was so bent on "correcting" us, we could still hear her carrying on as we quietly were walking back to our car. "Some people just don't get it" I heard at one point. I couldn't agree more.

This was our daughter's first cut-your-own Christmas tree excursion. Wanting it to be memorable, we searched the web for that special experience. The Trim Pines website sold us on the drive to Holly. Pulling in, things looked a little shady, but on the drive up, Clark Griswold and Co. had kept the good old front wheel drive sleigh laughing, so we were in high spirits, ready to cut down at least two trees.
We were greeted by friendly staff and told that, unless we wanted to pick from precut trees at the front of the farm we'd have to pay to get in. The fee ($5/adult, $3/seniors & kids, infants free) bought us a hay wagon ride out and back, a smores kit and use of a bow saw. It was made clear that we could only cut tagged trees. We paid, waited a few minutes, and boarded the next outbound wagon. A two minute ride past equipment in various states of decomposition brought us to the end of the line at Santa’s petting farm.
Without direction, we wandered off down a random row. It quickly became apparent that the quality of trees was poor and the prices very high (a few tags elicited outright laughter: ‘$63 for that?’). Very, very few of the tagged (O.K. to cut) trees were of any interest. It’s obvious that they were the bottom of the barrel and had not been well-tended. All those in good shape were un-tagged and, I assume, slated for next spring’s landscape business. Very few fresh stumps were seen.
We kept at it, walking most of south end of the farm, and found conditions the same. We finished up at the precut lot. The marked difference in quality indicated that they had been bought offsite and trucked in. Prices here were very high, too. We got our daughter a picture with an authentic looking, but not very jolly Santa, so the day wasn’t a total loss. We asked for our money back, didn’t get it and headed home, treeless.
Bottom line: I have no problem paying $50+ for an outstanding tree. There weren't any here. Trim Pines has potential, but I won't be back unless their tree selection vastly improves.
