Busy place and usually has a wait but man is it worth it. Unique pizza menu and rotating specials lands it in my top 10 for Milwaukee pizza. And they serve booze. Bonus. Local art is usually decorating the walls and musicians liven the atmosphere on certain nights.
This is my favorite pizza place. Jen is a great server, never had a poor server or pizza. I've been here more times then I can count. It's my favorite date night place for a relaxing date with my husband. We drive over an hour just to go, I love it that much.
Good and Bad.
Bad: I don’t mind waiting to be sat, but when there’s little to no waiting area it’s a little annoying. The hostess didn’t seem thrilled, and when we got a spot at the bar to grab a drink beforehand we were ignored a bit. So the visit did not start off on the right foot.
Good: Our server was very nice, I was really hoping our date night was going to get put back on the right track. The pizza was delicious, especially the cheese and the sausage. My girlfriend thought it could have used more sauce, and a less “cracker-like crust”. I thought it tasted just fine personally.
I feel like it would be unfair to give 3 stars, however I don’t feel like my
visit earned the full 5 stars. I’d come back to dine here again.
And for the owner’s knowledge, I heard about this place over Radio Milwaukee (88.9)
Tasty pizzas with complex and exact toppings. A bit pricey but they use quality ingredients. Often features lite jazz bands
Best pizza in Milwauker. Their garlic sauce pizzas are amazing!
Service is always quick and pleasant. Our go-to place.
EXCELLENT pizza place!! Very real close to authentic Italian thin crust style (I've been multiple times in Italy), and with good flavor and ingredients.
They have all kind of pizzas for all likes: meat lovers, classic, seafood, vegetarian and even spicy ones!
AND they have live music like Jazz, Blues, etc. which makes your dinner experience phenomenal.
Highly recommended for locals and visitors =)
Loved it! Old pharmacy that still had the stained glass windows & old soda fountain counter. Service was fantastic, & the pizza is Great. Toppings are all so fresh tasting. Nothing like this in the city.
This is one of my favorite pizza restaurants in the Milwaukee area. The menu consists mainly of pizzas, but there is a fantastic selection of them. They have a great selection of white-sauce garlic pizzas. The singler person sized pizza is filling enough for most folks, but if you are very hungry, you might want to get an appetizer too. They have a very good beer selection, and I've been happy with the wine selection as well. The place is often crowded around dinner-time all week long, but as we often prefer to sit at the bar, it's never been an issue for us. We love the atmosphere and the service. We've never been disappointed.
Server didn't know the difference between an IPA and Pale Ale. I told him I like pale ales he brought me a IPA. Oh well. They did have a nice beer selection though. The pepperoni pizza and fungi/ prosciutto pizza were excellent!!!! Inside was nice. The bruschetta was a little lazy and over garlic. But all & all great value for your buck, good pizza. I definitely go back and recommend the place.
Excellent pizza and friendly staff! Very much enjoyed our experience.
Great pizza with a cool atmosphere. They are really good at accommodating large groups.
Love the pizza. It's some of the most unique recipes I've seen in Milwaukee. There's also some great beer on tap. Wait staff is friendly and quick. Great place to get some pizza.
Today I was completely let down by Transfer. It was easily my favorite place for pizza, until today. I've been coming here since they opened about 5 years ago, maybe every other month. Today was the first time that the pizza came to the table with the pepperoni under the cheese. I asked if they had changed how they made their pizza, and was told no this is how they make it. After 5 years of coming here, this was the first time I had received the pizza this way. In all honesty, it's not a huge deal, but it changes the flavor of the pizza and leaves soggy pepperoni. Instead of fixing the problem, I was told that I was wrong by 2 servers. That the pizzas we had ordered before must have been flukes. 5 years worth. Right. Not the right way to handle a situation, but I may be wrong on that, too.
I went to try some pizza here the other night. I ordered 3 different pizzas. 2 with regular dough and one with gluten free. 2 with regular tomatoe sauce and one with garlic sauce. All of these pizzas lacked flavor. The sauces were bland and boring. I didn't like the taste of the pepperoni and one pizza had chunks of chicken that were dried out. I will not be returning here for pizza. The service was good however it took about 45 minutes to get our food. I think they are trying to do too much with such a simple thing.
