Always consistently awesome!! 10 star for me over 30 years keeps me returning
When I am craving a pupusa (which come in cheese, or pork and cheese), this is my go to place. Delicious, freshly made with the right amount of cabbage to douse it with. Our whole family loves it. Go ahead and get the platter so you can enjoy two sides with your two pupusas- especially the beans, are fantastic. We also enjoy the Mexican Breakfast (burrito) on a weekend morning.
This place is a real gem. Great food at an affordable price, great atmosphere for a quick lunch. Plus, the owner has an uncanny ability to be on point with customers, even when they think bringing large strollers into a small space is okay.
The BEST seafood tacos I've had! Salmon and shrimp! Save your taste buds the disappointment of chips and salsa (very basic/blan) and focus on your main course because their food is deliciousexcept the salsa
Its non descript, definate no frills place to get "very tasty" food! Well worth the walk in 90 degree weather with wrong directions from D.C.'s finest. Not kidding. Get the Salvadorian Chx Sandwich, yum. Beef soup was flavored well with chunks of beef. Prices are good too. Enjoy!
Very disappointed in the food. Having been to many triple d restaurants I was surprised at how bad the food was. Papusas were ok. The steak tacos were over cooked and chewy. To make things worse they slice the steak incorrectly, which makes it even more chewy. Surprised at all the good reviews, maybe we caught them on a bad day but I make better skirt steak tacos at home.
The food is good, but a lot of times they don't get my order right. Still good, because they don't serve anything bad. Just a little annoying when you (thought you) knew what you wanted.
Nicest cashier I've ever encountered! Much tasty! Very yummy!
Great Food, Cheap, no brainer to check out. Locals agree
The food is good and authentic (try those pork and cheese pupusas!), and given the price, it's absolutely fantastic!!!
I go there for the beef soup. It is delicious, it comes with 2-3 pieces of meat and bone. Sides are 1 home made thick tortilla, rice, and lemon. It is a great deal at 8 dollars. I have also ordered pupusas, which are delicious, and have tried beef taco. The beef for the taco is cut in long pieces, comes with flour tortillas, lettuce, tomatoes, and pico de gallo.
It is a fast pace restaurant with a few regular tables and a tall communal table with tall chairs. They use plastic silverware. You order and pay first and they bring out your food.
It's a nice place away from the typical tourist spots. The menu offers goodness but the bar offers better options. Enjoy the comfort eats and great drinks.
