Although I did not get a chance to check out the golf-course, the greens looked to be in great condition. The state reserve actually exceeded my expectations and had a wonderful day going down all the trails and seeing all the amazing rock formations. The beach was dotted with rounded rocks and very clean! Definitely planning on visiting here again soon in the future!

Always worth coming to a scenic beautiful hike by the shore. Cool breezes and great area's to stop and take in the atmosphere and beauty of the California coast. Whatever season you choose to visit Torrey Pines you will not be disappointed. I adore coming here. Like to leave early and spending half a day taking a brisk hike. Family friendly trails and kids will enjoy it.

Just an amazing place. Short trails good for all ages - you can spend hours. We spent close to 5 hours and did not realize how quickly time passed. It was a lot of fun for out entire family. Do remember to take water and wear appropriate footwear and layer your clothing - temperature does change. It was colder at the beach.

It's a very cool park with some nice trails that go around the cliffs and to the beach. The parking fee was a bit high ($20 when I went) but there was psrking available (on a Friday). Luckily they accept the CA State Parks Parking Pass. This place has plenty of signs describing the area and the plight of the Torrey Pines. You will get a lot of insight on the Flora and fauna of the area whole enjoying beautiful views. The hikes aren't too bad and most trails are less than a mile long. I'd recommend visiting this park if you're in the area.

GREAT scenic hike, me and the LADY visited Torrey Pines hiking trails. The beauty is in how diverse the different trails are. It does cost $12 to park your car at the top of hill, which allows you to hike the trails at the top. I believe there are 4 different ones. We hiked 3 of them which consisted of some steep climbs and cliff side jaw dropping vistas. ( WELL WORTH IT) Come early to avoid crowds-but a definite must see while in SD!

Great place. Love Black's Beach near there. Secluded and beautiful view! The hand gliders at Torrey Pines are amazing to watch and the surfing is great! I went paragliding and it was a blast .I highly recommend it. It was an unforgettable experience. Black's Beach is just below the gliderport. It's a clothing optional beach. "nude beach". It's a beautiful, secluded beach with great surfing and exceptionally clean. I chose to wear my birthday suit instead of swimming suit. It's no big deal. It's no big deal. Getting to the beach is quite a challenge. It's a narrow path can be dangerous if you don't exercise caution, however it's not as bad as some people make it out to be. just take is slowly and take rest stops if needed. If your not in good shape just take it slow. There were no gawkers or weirdos like some might think. Everyone just does their own thing. San Diego Fire and Rescue patrol it on a regular basis. They drive the beach multiple times a day.

While many locals know this as a great place to hike there are many pluses for visitors too. You enter the State Reserve from the road below through the Torrey Pines Beach parking lot. You'll have to pay to enter unless you have a pass. There are also free parking spots along Torrey Pines Road but you'll be hiking in and all the way up the mountain, about a 30 minute walk. Most people head down the Western side of the mountains toward to beach when they reach the top, so few know there is a visitor center as well as trails along the rim with incredible Eastern views of San Diego. A ranger table is set up as an educational stop on local mammals, plants and birds. There is also a detailed map for choosing one of the many trail options to take. The hike down can to the beach can be quite steep and I wouldn't recommend it for those with ankle injuries or walking difficulties. As an option you can do a shorter walk of about 20 minutes to viewing spots about halfway down the Western side of the Reserve to take pictures and gaze out over the ocean. The Reserve area is very dry and can get very hot in the afternoon so I suggest doing a morning hike with water and a hat to really enjoy it the most.

Hiked the south Fork Trail this afternoon which is accessed from the south side of the reserve. There is no official parking so you need to park at the golf course or in one of the business parks and risk it. Walk is very easy Almost perfectly flat and trail is groomed with guiderails. Access to north Fork Road is closed for maintenance. Nice views of ocean from trail end. But due to closure hike is somewhat limited. Recommendation Pay the park fee, and access all the trails on the north side of the park.

Really fun place to walk, jog, or low-intensity hike. There are a ton of winding trails that overlap each other and take you from inland right up to the water and to beach areas and tide pools. Really great views pretty much anywhere you walk around here. Just note that if you are looking for a really intense hike or climbing you will not find it here.

Incredible hiking in San Diego and I can't wait to make it back here. It wasn't particularly difficult (we hiked Razor Point to Yucca Point, then back to the parking lot with a 3 year old), but gorgeous scenery and I've been daydreaming about making it back - this happens at least once a day. To make my experience even better, I was here in the heart of the spring wildflower bloom to add all different pops of color. From the scenery to foliage to animals scurrying around, lots to teach a toddler. I would definitely do some trail running here, as well. Do yourself a favor and get to Torrey Pines!

It was very pretty. Entrance fee of $15 includes access to trails, beach, and visitor's center. I am in awe of how beautiful this place is. Would definitely come here again! Most beautiful beach in San Diego!

Be careful. State Park. Not a place to bring even a small group. Must make reservations long in advance, otherwise they will kick you out. There are many other places that are better! Don't go here. State rangers are NOT understanding or easy to work with. No leeway. Take heed.

We loved our visit to Torrey Pines. We did a lot of great hiking and had a nice lunch. It is a must if you are in the area. There is a high fee for getting in and parking $20 so plan to spend 1/2 a day or more. They also have a nice beach. The park was busy on the weekend but still we found parking.

This place is awesome! Coming from Texas we don't get to see hills like this! You can pretty much make your own level of journey. If you want a challenge there's definitely places you can hike to get that heart rate up! Otherwise you can stay further down and cruise the scenery with the beach right there. I spent about an hour and a half there but could've spent all day if I didn't have to fly back home. Localsyou're lucky to have such an amazing park! Enjoy!

We did go to the famous Blacks Beach and no, we didn't feel threatened by loads of naked men. The atmosphere was very relaxing, plenty of young families, students etc. all there. Just freedom. The ocean is perfect there, refreshing and nice sandy all the way in. Just the steps down and especially up were a real effort. Even really fit experienced hikers had to take breaks, but the views you have during those breaks are totally worth it.
