My husband eats here every time he goes to Charleston and he brags about it. So I get to try it when he took me there for my first visit to Charleston. I absolutely loved it!!! Christian and Jon singing Irish music was my favorite!!! The Irish nachos were superb. The bartenders make fabulous drinks and I cannot say enough nice things about tommys. I wish we had one in Florida. Thank u guys!!
Some of the very best bartenders I've ever had. Great live music every night. Covered outdoor seating. I make sure to visit or two, every time I'm in the Holy City.
Great little place to stop off but the price points make it a hard sell. Worth it for some of that Irish charm. Definitely a good time.
Nice atmosphere and a very Irish feel, also clean restrooms. We ate brunch on a Sunday and brunch is not a Tommy Condon's specialty. It was very disappointing, just badly cooked. Asked for over easy eggs, got hocky pucks, asked for whole wheat toast and got bone dry white bread with no butter or jam and the bacon was under cooked. It was Sunday, a cruise ship was in Port and cruise ship passengers were swarming. Still, the kitchen should have done better.
Atmosphere is great. Live music was also great. Food was great. Husband said the Guiness was amazing.
However, the bathrooms smelled awful. The bar area smelled pretty wierd. Our waitress pretty much forgot about us.
Other than that, would still recommend.
On street parking, by the way.
This place was really really good. The Dublin rolls were amazing!!! That was what actually caught our attention online to go there. I got a club sandwich which was AMAZING. my husband got hickory bourbon salmon and he said it was delicious along with butter beans and a salad. I highly recommend this restaurant.
9-21-17 My wife and I stopped at Tommy's for our second visit. We had the best She Crab soup we have tasted in Charleston, better than 4 other restaurants that are quite well known. We decided to split a Reuben sandwich. This is the part we were disappointed in as the corned beef was not not as thick as it should have been, the sour kraut was not as plentiful , nor was the thousand island dressing. The fries were thick hot and delicious. Oh course this was washed down with Guinness which speaks for itself. It was a let down from our visit in 2011.
Quite well. Had the Shepard's pie and Irish nachos. Those were really good. The lamb offers a unique taste the blue. Very good.
The fish and chips were awesome. Good She Crab Soup. The waiter was very friendly. Good place to relax and have a beer. We will come back.
Great atmosphere, good food, great beer, friendly service! Our waitress was attentive despite the Memorial weekend crowd. The shrimp and grits and shepherd's pie were delicious. And the local beers were cold and tasty.
Ol fashion Irish experience with a Guiness and my corn beef and cabbage. Food is hot and wait is short. Beer is cold and service is quick. Irish live music after 9 and parking is close. In a busy city like Charlestonwhat more can a man ask for??
The Food is delicious; they serve many of your favorite Irish fare. Also a great place to get a Guinness, poured for a proper tippling. The building has an interior of deep rich wood wainscot walls with a sports bar attached to boot. Couple all this with a warm and friendly staff and you will feel like you stepped through the door to Ireland!
