I just got a call from the general manager AJ stating that a truck I had signed all the paperwork for and overnighted a bank check as been sold out from under me. I was buying from out of state and they never warned me this could happen. They actually told me not to worry about this and it was "sold" in their eyes. Do not believe a word they tell you and do business elsewhere.

Update November 2017 back up to 3 stars:
This time, I was well taken care of, unlike many previous visits. I bypassed the call center scheduling by asking for a service manager by name and getting a direct connection to him, and was able to get much better service. The past many times I have called for service the call center employee was rude and not knowledgeable, every time, even with different employees. The service manager arranged for me to have a loaner car this time; on previous visits I was told by the call center there were no loaners, was not offered a rental or a ride, and when I requested a ride (and got one) they forgot to pick me back up at the end of the day and the driver went home. I insisted on a loaner this time and was graciously given one. However, the service process is extremely cumbersome; checking in the car takes too long, the paperwork is ridiculously long, and the process to get the loaner took at least 30 minutes (after already having spent 20 minutes to get the car checked in.). So there is a lot of my time wasted on the process. And Cadillac parts and service are much too expensive. This is the 2nd computer to go bad on my 2013 Cadillac, not a great performance I would say.

Update August 2017 from 3 stars to 1 star after anther service appointment: The receptionist who scheduled my appointment was very rude. I waited 2 hours and still didn't have my car done. I got a ride from the courtesy shuttle to an appointment I had and then back (driver was very nice!) In the end my card took 6 hours to change the headlamp and it cost $1500! Additionally I asked for some quotes on some items that I was told they would email to me and I've never received them

Original post: Employee who answered the phone was not knowledgeable nor efficient. There are NO signs indicating where the service center is, I went to 4 Baker Motors buildings within a mile stretch before I found the right one. Service was ok I guess, but the next day I noticed my rear wiper was falling apart, so much for their 'multi point inspection.'

This oil change tire/rotation service was conducted by pleasant employees but went way over the stated time. The free car wash was on par with the ability of an unwilling teenager. This issue is disconcerting considering the truck was only three months old and probably suffered some unnecessary paint scratching from an improper washing technique. This dealership attempted to rotate my Denali dually tires by placing the inside rears on the front axle. This method does not work with four aluminum wheels and two steel wheels as it greatly affects the polished aluminum wheel presentation.

The best. That's all I can say. My beloved Buick had issues (from another dealership's repairs), and their service department went above and beyond to make sure my car could get me home safely to North Carolina. Nicest people EVER -- from the woman answering the phone, to everyone I spoke to in the service department. Grateful. Very grateful.

Very positive experience! Patrick Murphy went the extra mile (pun intended!) to earn my business and he knew he had serious competition to beat. I'm glad he and the Buick Team were able to pull together the winning deal as I really like the Regal Sport Touring I drove home. Excellent car!

Recently purchased a new Yukon from Baker and the process was great!
I can't say enough good things about our representative, Kelvin Maull. Kelvin did not put us through a "sales process". Kelvin assisted and advised us through a "buying process" that we certainly appreciated.

Mr. Dean Griffin , one of a kind.
He is the definition of customer service rep. Once you enter Bay doors it's all about taking care of customers needs. I'll definitely buy another Cadillac

I brought my car in to have it serviced for a radio that they replaced a little over a year ago. They tell me it's no longer under warranty. The original radio lasted five years, why is it that a replacement radio would last just over a year. I believe it was a refurbished radio from the beginning and faulty. ALSO, I dropped my car off overnight and on the dropoff form I mentioned to have my radio looked at as well as my cigarette lighter as it was not working possibly and just a fuse. When I picked up my car I was advised that a fuse was put in and it was fine. I got home and put the car charger in the cigarette lighter and it still does not work I was charged $100 for nothing..

It all started with the dealership calling and saying, "Hey dude, your windshield is in." So my husband scheduled the appointment and asked if we would need to stay and wait while it was being worked on. Our go to guy, Bryan Porter, said he doesn't want us to sit and wait 'cause putting in a new windshield is something you don't want to rush, he said he would get us a loaner. So I show up for the appointment, while Bryan was putting in my information he takes a call from a fellow employee on speaker phone. He tells his fellow employee that he's on speaker phone, then I have to listen to this back and forth as to why he needs a warning that he's on speaker, and why he has to be told twice and that he's usually very inappropriate, so on and so on. Then Bryan tells me there are no loaner cars available and he reviewed his notes after talking to my husband and he never mentioned giving us a loaner. Bryan reports it could take 3 hours to replace my windshield. I then asked if we could just reschedule because I didn't come prepared to sit in the waiting room for 3 hours. Bryan then said he could rent me a car from Enterprise. Keep in mind, my car was dropped off at 9:00am. Anyhow, I'm on my way in the rental car. The next time I hear from Bryan is 10:30am the following day. 25 hours to replace my windshield. He also tells me that it would really help him out if I took the rental car back to Enterprise and rode the shuttle back to the dealership. Really?!?! So after 25 hours I return to pick up my car and Bryan tells me he probably should have called to update me about my car, but he was busy and since I didn't call he figured I didn't care. He also told me that my car was ready yesterday afternoon, but he was way to busy to go pick it up. The cherry on the top was telling me that the car was vacuumed out, but not washed because of having the windshield replaced, but I could come in on Saturday for a free customer wash day. When I purchase a car, I deal with the sales department for one day. I deal with the service department as long as I own the car. This experience taught me to never, never ever buy a car from Baker GMC. It's one big clown fest.

Went in to this dealership on May 26 with the intentions to purchase a GMC Terrain. I was greeted by Andy the sales manager and Rick. I told them exactly what I wanted. Andy said that they did not have any Terrains on the lot that fits my needs but he said that he will go into a dealer's data base and see what they had. After looking into the dealers data base he found a vehicle that fit my needs and wrote up a bill of sale. I took the bill of sale back to my credit union only to find out that the price he was trying to sell the vehicle for was $2000 over the value. I called Rick, who was the only one who provided me with a business card to let him know that I would not be interested in purchasing the vehicle because it was over the NADA value. Rick told me to come back in and see if he could would up some numbers and make a deal. I went back in with a cashier check for over $3500 trying to negotiate a deal. As I was going over numbers with Rick, Andy decides that he is going to jump in and work up numbers. I told Andy that I did not agree with the numbers and told him what I would offer. He came off the price by $1000 but it was still more than what I was willing to pay. I thank them for their time and told them both that I will shop around. When I told them that Andy's attitude did a complete 360. He became pushy, loud and very rude. He said that he was not going down anymore on the price. He balled up my NADA printout and the bill of sale and toss it back on the desk. He talked over me as I was talking to Rick, yelling at me and saying that he don't want to do business with me and that they will not be making any money from me anyway because I was not financing with them. I could tell that Rick was embarrassed about his sales manager's behavior but did not want to address it. As I was walking out I told Rick thank you for being nice. Rick was still trying to see if he could get Andy to agree to a lower price. Andy said no he is not going to lose money for me. He said he wasted 2 hours dealing with me. As I was walking to my car, Andy followed me to my car yelling at me saying that I am going to leave without a car and I am not going to have anything. I told him that this is a second car for me and not a need but a want. I told him that he was the rudest salesman that I have ever meant. He kept yelling at me as I was entering into my car. At this time I was so upset I told him to go to HELL. As I was driving off Rick stopped me and wanted to hand me the copy of my divers license that he took previously. I asked Rick to provide me with Andy's manager's name and phone number. Rick looked as if he was about to give me the information and low and behold here comes Andy coming across the parking lot yelling again. Rick said sorry the manager is not in. I drove over to the Cadillac dealership that was in front of the GMC dealership (both own by Baker) and demanded to speak with Andy's manager. I was greeted by the sales manager Dominick who was very nice. I was so upset and crying. Dominick lead me to believe that he was Andy's' manager and he will handle it. He wanted to see the bill of sale. I called my credit union and go the manager to email Dominick a copy of the bill of sale. Dominick looked over it and said that he will look more into what happened and call me back. He kept reverting to the sale of the car. I told him that it was not about the sale of the car it was about poor customer service. Dominick agreed and said that I will only be dealing with him from this point. He said that he will talk with both Rick and Andy. I was not happy with that, especially knowing that they both had the same title. I called for over 2 days before getting in contact with a General Sales Manager who said he was over Andy. He said he heard briefly about what happened and wanted my side. He told me he will look into it and call me back. As of today, I have not heard anything from him. I ended up purchasing my Terrain from Vadon of Beaufort. I got a really good deal with additional features and the salesmen were very nice.

I have never ever been to such an amazingly great service department. Everyone was so nice, very honest, and the department is kept spotless. I was kept informed of what was going on with my vehicle, and the awesome coffee machine was a bonus, bonus, bonus. No one tried to sell me services that did not need to be done like other dealership service departments in Charleston.Thank you so much for being the very best in Charleston.

Two things: first, the GMC service dept is towards the back of the dealership. I drove my Yukon to the Cadillac service dept first since I didn't really know where to go. They basically closed the service door right in front of my car then when I walked in, there were three employees talking to each other and didn't even bat an eye at me while I was standing RIGHT THERE. Finally, a service rep came out and asked me if I was trying to get to GMC and pointed me in the right direction.

Second, if you're getting service done, be prepared to wait. And wait for about twice as long as you are told. This is my third time here and I have waited for much longer than estimated and told each time. The first time I had a tire leaking air. I was told to come right in because leaking tires were considered an emergency and didn't require an appointment. I got there at 9:45am and didn't leave until after 12:30pm and they couldn't find the hole. The second time I came in later that week for the same leaking tire but this time made an appointment even after being advised that I didn't need to. I still waited about two hours and they finally found and covered the hole. Here I am, third visit, this time for an oil change. I made an appointment for 10:30am and it is now 12:50pm and I am still waiting for my car. When making my appointment, I was told it would take about 45minutes for the oil change. They called the day before to confirm the appointment and reconfirmed the approximate 45min wait time. When I got here, the service rep estimated an hour and ten minutes, which was still fine at that point. I left at 11:20am to grab some lunch and my car STILL had not been taken in to get serviced. I also live 30 minutes away and work a full time job. It should not be a half day event just to get an oil change. I will NOT be coming back here.

I never buy cars from traditional dealers , However I was in the market for a Cadillac and decided to risk it. So glad I did ! Patrick was so helpful, after telling him what I was looking for over the phone he called the next week and he had it ! I had been looking for that color and style for 6 months but everything was out of my price range. Patrick got me such a deal and helped us through the whole process without the old bait and switch I'm used to with other dealers. Baker will be my new go to Vehicle shop.

Patrick Murphy was fantastic in facilitation of our purchase. He picked up on my urgency of reaching and decision on an Acadia which was time sensitive for personal reasons. Patrick took my situation to his manager and finance and got me in the vehicle within hours. He was especially respectful of my time handling details in advance to minimize wait time at the dealership. Patrick also thoroughly and patiently introduced me to the vehicle, especially the technology features and has followed up with me twice to confirm product satisfaction. Thanks, Patrick.

Patrick's supervisor Andrew Y. was accessible and spent time pleasantly chatting with me and later helped me convert our deal from a lease to a retail purchase.

Dwayne S. in fiance was very clear both in the original lease deal and in converting this deal to a purchase a couple days later. Dwayne was very accommodating in restructuring to a purchase.

    These 3 folks were fantastic.
