Clean and comfortable basic accommodations. A little bit off the main drag which is nice for a quiet night. Shuttle to the ferry. Decent breakfast included.

Bed was comfortable, room was clean, and I appreciated that the pool was open late. Hot breakfast was a pleasant surprise. The staff went above and beyond for us when we realized my husband had lost his wedding ring. They found it in the pool, and are mailing the ring back to us. Definitely will be staying here again next time we pass through Mackinaw.

Great stay. I have nothing to complain about. Guest service by front desk was great, thank you for all the information I needed! The rooms were perfect for what I was looking for and for the price! I would recommend and stay here again.

It was comfortable and clean; front desk staff was nice and helpful. I wish the pool opened earlier and/or breakfast was later. Breakfast was 6:30-9:00 but the pool didn't open until 10:00. Which meant I had to listen to my kids ask "can we go to the pool yet?" every 30 seconds for an hour inside an enclosed room. Please, for the love of all that is holy, open the pool at 9 a.m. I'm serious. It's never something I would have thought about, but now that I've experienced it, I will definitely look at the hours of the pool and breakfast before booking for future hotel stays.

Had a great experience here. Clean, cozy, with staff who are proactive and polite. It's not a Hilton, but the cleanliness and the service make it worth it. Reasonable pricing as well. It does have a pool as well as a laundry area. I highly recommend the Thunderbird Inn.

Hotel room was great and clean. Really nice heated pool but no hot tub. None of the wall outlets would hold our phone chargers in the wall. The breakfast was ok tasting. The breakfast cook ran out of food while at least 10 people were in line. That was what did it for us.

The hotel is neat and clean but all the appliances are old.. including AC and heater.. breakfast is just ordinary as there is no toaster available nd no hot milk , eating nd drinking everything cold in the cold weather doesn't work fine..

Happy with the accommodations and the hot breakfast had it all. Only. Complaint was a 4 pm check in time. Threw off our plans a bit.

I would estimate that the Thunderbird is an economically priced motel being off the path and not on the waterfront in Mackinaw City. I do not know the rate as it was bundled into a package for a 4th grade field trip to the island. It was clean, and the accommodations seemed to be fairly updated. The breakfast was less than average but do-able. Nice enough overnight stay.

Its close enough to everything thst you dont have to drive/walk far. The staff was extremely nice, even when I missed a call from them and didn't arrive for check in until after midnight. Our room was nice, very clean, and the king size bed was amazing. There are two reasons I gave four instead of five stars. 1. The walls are very thin (Like hear your neighbor pee thin) and 2. The shower was not short person friendly. Pointing all the way down, it was still spraying almost half way up the back wall. I would definitely stay here again.
