The room my husband and I stayed in was definitely not anything like the pictures and we were disappointed. The walls, windows and carpet were filthy and the bathroom really needed attention. Granted it was quiet, the staff was friendly, the view was great, they had cable and free breakfast, we were confused by how the room was kept. All the staff needs to do is actually clean and it'd be fine. Someone came in every day to just make our bed and that was it. I thought this was suspicious because they said they don't change sheets until every third day of your stay unless asked and even on the third day it was never changed. I made it before we left for the day and it was still the same sheets in the same position we left it. It made us not really want to spend much time in our room except to sleep, which made me a little uneasy just because of how dirty everything else was, along with not having fitted sheets.

While the hotel seems a little dated, my stay was nice, my shower was hot, and the view was beautiful. It's not a high quality hotel but it's pretty decent with a beach style vibe to it. Breakfast was awful. Tiny, hard, and cold biscuits with decent gravy, bland scrambled eggs, and a sausage patty. They had a waffle maker and I'm sure it was good but it was too busy. The breakfast room was also packed with people and I had to sit with people I didn't know because the place was packed. It's currently October. I can't imagine how packed it would be during the busy season. I would stay again if breakfast improved or it's the best deal I can find in the area.

Run away fast! Don't consider this hotel. Plumbing in our room didn't work for the 5 days we were booked. Constant problems. Maintenance only came twice, we had to fix it ourselves. Manager was "tired of me" complaining about service They only clean your rooms every 3 days. They don't empty your garbage, or give you clean linen/towels, vacuum the room or make your beds only every 3 days. Corporate is no help when trying to get the bathroom toilet fixed to be able to use it. Run away fast, stay somewhere else. Don't let Quality Inn put a damper on your vacation by having to fight for everything the hotel is suppose to do for it's guests. Choice Hotels rewards program is NOT worth the problems you will get when staying at this hotel.

Quality Inn in Mackinac City can only be described as everything that is the opposite of quality. The room resembled a 1970's porn set, The bathroom floor was wet, the carpet was dirty and the room had a funky odor to it. It didn't appear as though the bathroom had been disinfected since its construction. The shower head had a buildup of calcium and the tub was lined with grime. The lighting was poor. The sliding glass doorwall was open upon our arrival with only the screen slider closed. The room and building can only be compared to that of a truck stop motel. My girlfriend and I didn't even want to sleep with the bed sheet and comforter provided and laid our king sized fleece blanket across the top (that we brought for camping) to sleep on. I was tempted to erect the tent we used while camping and sleep on our air mattress. Because it was Labor Day weekend, all other hotels were booked and I had paid a heavy $307 for the room I decided to use it. If I ever stay in Mackinac City again with all other hotels booked then I will sleep in my car at a nearby rest stop.

Great hotel on the beach. Watch the sun come up over the lake while enjoying a hot cup of coffee from your room. Easy walk to the shops and restaurants in the area. I received coupons and discount information to use at these local places. I can't wait to go Up North and stay here again.

I was honestly excited to stay here, until I actually got here. I had a room booked three months in advance for when my parents drive through to drop me off at school, and when we checked in, the gal working the front desk was lacking when it came to customer service skills. When we got to our room, the door was harder than hell to open (not to mention that you had to use heavy force to even get it to shut). Not only was one of the lights broken, there was also bugs on the floor and coffee still in the coffee maker. Some of the cosmetics needed to be redone (the wallpaper in the closet coming up and looking as if it tore), as well the freezer in the fridge consisting of 99% frost. While the pool was nice and deep, as well as the beds being decently comfortable, it needs some better cleaning staff and some more customer service training.

Reviews seem to be all over the board for this hotel. Overall, my wife and I really enjoyed our stay. Our room was smaller than most, but had everything we needed. We were able to park our vehicle right outside the door, and there was a small deck out the back, the pool/hot tub/sauna were all nice.
We booked the room through the Mackinaw City Tourist Bureau, and we were able to get our room for three (3) nights and four (4) ferry tickets for the cost of one night on the Island. The hotel is literally a 30 second bike ride to the Star Line dock, which is very convenient.

Quite stay. Easy access to the dock. Takes about 5min walking. Swimming pool is there but ceiling is rusted and molded. Requires attention and cleaning. Breakfast was provided. Apple juice was surprisingly delicious.if you are generous person then good choice.

We are only on our second day of a weeks stay. Room is clean and spacious. Though an older hotel, our room is well maintained. The value for dollar is wonderful and just had a complimentary breakfast. This allows for revenue to be spent on a nicer lunch or dinner. The front desk person is from Jamaica and is pleasant and provided us with an exceptional check in experience.

A nice hotel at the beach front. Rooms are old but nice and clean. Staff at front desk are also very helpful. However since rooms are old air conditioning was old and not one of the best. It is a good place to stay for people visiting macinac island.

Room was disgusting and had clearly not been cleaned. Staff was very rude. Do not recommend at all!
