This place is beautiful, staff is friendly! Attended company Christmas Party and book a room with a great group rate! Food was so good at the party! The pool was beautiful tho it was cold outside, water was little warm. Only complaint was the rooms were not completely clean i was move from the first room let's just say it was not clean. The second room was an upgrade but the restroom was not clean. I didn't want to move again so just called for the restroom to get cleaned.
Excellent room, fun pool. Reasonable rates. We had over 20 people in our group, it was suggested to have the private buffet instead of restaurant and it worked out great More reasonable and no waiting, we all ate together as soon as we got there. Excellent service in the restaurant
We visited the Wigwam for Breakfast with Santa and my kids and I loved it. I was extremely pleased with the service provided to us. Everyone was friendly and helpful. A gentleman by the name of Jim greeted us at the door when we walked in and walked us over to the buffet where Santa was. He was so helpful. The hotel had a warm and inviting atmosphere. Since we had such a good experience, we are now planning a staycation here.
Katie the cart girl is the best! It has very nice courses and the staff is very helpful. The green fees are reasonable but they also have great packages to purchase and they have three courses that are very different but challenge every golfer. Usually the pace is quick but when it slows down the Marshall is there to speed it up. The fish and wild life is also pretty cool. It's a course for all levels. The food and bar are also very nice it's one of my favorite courses in the valley
Had a 7:45 tee time, weather was great but the golf experience was absolutely terrible. I understand that just coming off overseeding the roughs would be thick, but to the extent that you loose balls because there is no way to find them? The groundskeepers that were mowing had no problem finding them! Which is my problem with this course, the men mowing and trimming would refuse to hinder to the golfers, even when approaching the greens, my son lost several balls because they would just mow through our line of play. All in all was beautiful but I won’t be playing there again. I would highly recommend that would you be interested in playing here, wait for a month or two when it is manicured better and they teach the groundskeepers to yield to the approaching golfers.
Note: this is the second time that the groundskeepers have done this, and that no one had taken my first complaint serious. Maybe this will help those trying to decide on a course.
Again, it is a beautiful course but not worth the frustration it caused the three of us, especially on my wife’s birthday. No stars for them!
Really nice historic hotel. 3 golf courses 2 restaurants and bars. Beautiful landscaping and very quiet. Nice large pool with water slides. We really enjoyed our stay.
Had an absolutely fabulous dinner at Litchfield. The quality of the food was only exceeded by the exceptional service we received. We went for a birthday dinner and it was absolutely perfect in every way. We had Salmon and Sea Scallops which were tops we have ever had accompanied by the Wigwam ale! Highly recommend!
Everyone here is always very helpful. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are clean and have a fantastic layout. The patio outside the room is amazing for hanging out for a bit outside the room. Having the pool area central to all the rooms makes for easy access.
The location is nice and quiet. Surprisingly near a school but still close to the highway and a grocery store, and restaurants. The golf course was absolutely wonderful. Concierge services will pick you and your good gear up at your door and escort you there, and back. The WiFi is solid and the TV service is great. All the linens and room services have been timely and polite. One bonus-one of the large pools is adults only on Saturdays and has a bar. Highly recommend!
The people and workers are amazing and nice. The courts are in great condition, but there are several lights out. The courts are paired with no fence in between; so, there are a great deal of match interruptions from balls rolling over from the adjacent court. Also there is a 4" cement base at the bottom of the end fences which projects the balls back onto the court instead of absorbing the impact and keeping the balls out of harms way.
Overall, I do enjoy playing there. The lack of a partial fence between courts is bothersome though.
The Wigwam is a popular choice for conferences. It's spacious. The staff are focused and hard working. I'm not a fan of the culturally re-appropriated artwork, representing the native Americans that once lived where the Wigwam lies. The meals were also very heavy and could be fresher and more delicious, more vegetarian and vegan friendly. It is a typical resort.
The hotel staff was exceptionally friendly. The landscaping and maintenance of the grounds was spectacular. The room (Oasis Terrace) was very spacious and incredibly clean. The beds were plush. I really can't complain about any bit of my experience. If you're in Goodyear, stay at the Wigwam.
The grounds are beautiful and so well maintained! I visited some family who were staying here, and their room (with connecting living room area) was a good size and very clean. The living room area was pretty sparsely furnished, but I'm sure they prefer to maintain some flexibility in the layout to accommodate different guests' needs.
First off, the location is great and the resort is even better. The rooms are great and they make for your own little house with a balcony and front porch. Both the pools are good but the Oasis pool is much cooler and is always empty (great place to cool down after a hot ball game). The Tower pool is to me, way too hot. The pool looks great but is always crowded.
We arrived to have breakfast with our parents who were guests. Yet again we were treated with the utmost courtesy, and had a wonderful time. We had toddlers in tow and the staff were so happy to high five and welcome our kids. We had a wonderful breakfast and stopped back at their room. The resort quality accommodations were beautiful and comfortable, even when entertaining. When they visit in the summertime we make sure to visit the splash pad and pools. Really the Wigwam has so much to offer, a beautiful cool setting, and historical significance! We are always thrilled to be there.
