Terrific and filling happy hour food features steak and seafood pairings. Includes a skillet of rolls. Double happy hour martinis come in a cold shaker. Manager My is very accommodating and Sean is a terrific wait staff member. Friendly, upscale crowd. Arrive early. HH starts at 4 and the tables are full by 4:30pm. Reserved high tops are for special guests only.
I had a beautiful birthday dinner this year and several great experiences at Happy Hour with friends here. I recently had an unfortunate experience, but the GM reached out right away and went above and beyond to make things right. I am disappointed that I can't edit the review I left and instead must attempt to counter my prior review. I will email Google to strongly suggest that local guides be able to edit their reviews.
Great service and food. New York strip was more tender thanthe tenderloin.
I love how they serve corn creme brulee on the side.
Absolutely the best ribeye I've ever had. Cooked exactly how I ordered it. The food speaks for itself. They really know what they are doing here. Service was perfect. Will definitely be back. Atmosphere, food, and service, well worth the expense.
Awesome Steakhouse. I recommend the petite filet, grilled onions and the corn creme brulee. You'll be so full, you'll need to be carried to the car
We Visited for the first time for my girlfriend's birthday. The experience was everything I expected and more. The ambience was perfect, it was not too loud inside like some other fine dining in the area. The service was what made the experience Or server Ula was wonderful and certainly made the birthday night a memorable one.
My friends and employers went here for a company meeting last night and we were blown away! Amazing food and fantastic service! We highly recommend this place.
Four of us had a business dinner here. The service was attentive and unhurried. We were neither kept waiting nor bothered with too much attention. The food was excellent as was the wine. I had the bone in filet mignon cooked medium and it was perfect. For the sides I particularly recommend the wild mushrooms.
Absolutely my favorite restaurant in the valley. This review doesn't come on the tail of one visit but several. The level of service you receive even if something doesn't go right it second to none. I have frequented many of our finest steak houses in town but it's safe to tell anyone reading this.. Dominick's is flat out the best dining experience the valley has to offer.
Food is amazing- actually the best steakhouse in Arizona, servers and atmosphere are very upscale without too much formality.
My wife and I went for her birthday while we were in town from Florida. When we travel we like to eat local as much as possible and Dominick's kept coming up as one of the best steak houses in the area. Luckily when we went we were able to get a table on second floor next to the pool and they had the roof open. The drinks are great, nothing too crazy but they were made really well. They did seem to be a little more expensive than what we are used to in Jacksonville $12 vs $18, but they were good. We got a bottle of wine for dinner, Belle Glos, which as you can expect was a little pricey but not outside of the normal restaurant markup when you know what it sells for in stores. We started with the meatballs and they were great, would definitely get them again. I had the bone in ribeye and my wife had the 12oz filet. Both steaks were cooked just as we ordered, medium, with a great crust on both sides. Not over seasoned or too much oil or butter. You can tell they use prime aged beef when it melts in your mouth. The pricing of the steaks were pretty comparable to Jacksonville chain steak houses like Ruth's Chris and Capital Grille. For our side we split Dominick's Potatoes which were awesome if you like cheese. For dessert we got the red velvet bread pudding which was amazing, if you like bread pudding and red velvet cake. The service was great, very attentive but not hovering. Timing of the food was right on point, I would say for two taking advantage of multiple courses expect to be there 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Normally the way I rate restaurants isn't one against another, I bas it on if the product I received was worth the price I paid. In this case the cocktails were priced high for what we got, all other aspects met or exceeded our expectations for what we paid. Overall I would say Dominick's met our expectations for a high end steak house, I would highly recommend it, we will be back next time we are in town, and want to try Steak 44.
Been here multiple times, unfortunately will not be back due to the new management. I came into Dominicks this past week with my family to celebrate my birthday. I ordered a steak to be medium (get medium every time) and it came to the table very rare. unsure whether or not I should send it back, I cut out a bite from the middle which was 100% red and ate it but was literally cold in the middle. I sent it back and the steak came back fine but unfortunately I had food poisoning later that night. I got a call from the hostess the next day to see how my experience was and I explained to her that I had food poisoning (something that should not be happening at a $150 per person restaurant). I never got a call from the manager or an apology for the potential causation of raw meat linked to my food poisoning happening later that evening. I called back two days later and asked to speak with the manager on duty. A man named "Jeff" answered didn't give me his last name or say he was manager, simply said "hello". When I told him what happened he tried to deny that the food poisoning was correlated. Very unprofessional and extremely disappointed that they showed no care at all and did not try to resolve the issue. I will not be coming back or recommending this establishment anymore. Try Eddie V'a much better, much nicer, and a much better experience.
I took my son to Dominick's tonight to celebrate his pending college graduation and new job. Unfortunately what we found was poor quality meat and indifferent attitudes from management and staff. My son ordered the $57 12 oz filet mignon which was riddled with inedible veins of tough sinewy cartilage about halfway through. Unusual for a restaurant that hand cuts its own meat, but mistakes can happen. We let our server know and Rebecca quickly explained it was a "fat cap" and, well, the chef can't know what's inside. Would we care for a free dessert? We declined and asked to speak to the manager. He or she would not come over and instead removed a $7 beer from our tab as the remedy for an inedible steak. Beware. Drop in quality and concern are the telltale signs of a restaurant on its way out. There are several other top end steakhouses in the greater Phoenix that are still deserving of your patronage. Try one of those for your next special night out.
The hostess staff were a bunch of young girls that don't impress, but the service was great and the food outstanding.
