Took my cousin there when she came to visit from Tallahassee Florida. We LOVED it. Great food. I live in Macon now I try to go at least once a month

Wonderful experience..the festival. It was bitter cold and windy, but had a great time. All vendors and others visiting were so friendly. Will be back next year. My husband loved the gator tail!

Awesome place to check out. The food was GREAT and the people super friendly :) We were there when they opened the doors and were told to seat ourselves. They open at 11 a.m. so get there early and there is no wait! The fried green tomatoes were sliced a little thick for my liking but they were tasty. The dam scene from the movie was shot just across the railroad tracks about a block or two away. Juliette is a beautiful little town with some amazing people living and working there. Enjoy :)

Not to add to the hype but this is a great place to eat. The food is very good and not too pricey as well. If you plan to visit on a weekend, expect to wait up to 2 hours for a seat. To me and my family it well worth the wait.

Take a step back in time. This restaurant right on the railroad tracks is very old. In fact, it looks like it might be near unsafe! However, it is safe and it is worth the stop. The food is surprisingly good. The portions are large. The service is very good.
This is the biggest draw for this nice, little town. Beware, there is usually a line, when they open and a steady stream of patrons throughout the day.
Nice little shops selling new and old items. After you eat, take some time and check them out. There is also a wine tasting room across the street, which has some excellent wine from a vineyard in Helen.

Great fried green tomatoes of course. The dipping sauce isn't the best I've had, but I didn't mind. The collards had too much pepper sauce but the cream corn is amazing and the chopped steak and fried chicken breasts is on point. The cornbread is bland. The service is great and the food was served quicker than expected. I will return!

The place is quaint and rustic bringing a nostalgic feeling about the movie. The food is good. Some items were over-priced like this portion of pie for over $6. Some of the workers were quite rude.

We shared a delightful mid-afternoon snack of Fried Green tomatoes, onion rings and sweet potato fries. Onion rings are sliced thin and battered well. All delicious and cooked just right. Also had a catfish sandwich which was also just right, not too fishy and cooked crunchy and tender. Topped off with unsweetened tea. Well worth the trip to this great nostalgic cafe.

Yes, this place is very cute and the little town of Juliette has charm. I'm a foodie to be sure. Everyone comes for the fried green tomatoes and to see the place where the movie by that name was made. To me, all the fried things tasted the same. The service was top notch.

My wife & I had a great time at the Whistlestop Cafe. The waitress was not only very helpful, but full of knowledge she was willing to share about the movie made here (things you probably wouldn't find out elsewhere!) - and was willing to spend her time explaining and showing us the movie photos and paraphernalia in the cafe. She also gave a history of the town, which we later went and explored.
The food is typical Southern fare - heavy on the "breaded & fried" style, which is good. Do NOT miss your opportunity to sample their famous fried green tomatoes, which are quite good when caught in season! We bought a batch of batter, tho' to tell the truth my wife, an old Southern farm raised gal herself, can make them better - tho' I might be a bit prejudiced. ;)
Plan to arrive a bit early if you want a GOOD experience. We arrived shortly before opening, which is why the waitress, whom we ended up tipping very well for her time, was able to spend so much time catering to my wife's wants & questions (I'm more of an ignorant man.) Having the cafe next to the river and railroad track certainly adds to the atmosphere, and don't forget to "visit" the grill, etc., located in the side and back yards. Also plan to take some time exploring the stores across the street, and some of the more whimsical structures / sight gags which are sprinkled up and down the main drag - it will take an afternoon, and then there's the Old Mill Motorcycle Museum right there nearby, though it was closed the day we were there. All in all this town - and this cafe - deserve a 4 to 5 star rating when it comes to encouraging tourism, and a friendly attitude.response / report this review -

Absolutely fantastic! Great food. Excellent service. Not very expensive. And it's just how you remember it from the movie. Plus, all the other places in the little town are very interesting. But most of all, the people are very friendly and genuine. I would go back every weekend if I could
