Food was great. However, the server lost our order and it took 90 min to get our food. When we asked for a break on the bill, the server told the manager the orders were just a 'little late'. We had to speak to the manager in person to get something done, and he took care of it immediately. Good place, just be careful who your server is!

Have visited many times on business trips and have never been disappointed. Frequently order the pimento cheese appetizer and dry rub wings. Would highly recommend either as well as any of the burgers. Beer selection is fantastic and Macon seems to have a growing local craft brewery movement.

Great food and service! The burgers are old school delicious and amazing. The milkshakes are also seriously good! Fun vibe and menu. Highly recommend for a casual, comfort food meal.

This is a great place the food was amazing! The atmosphere was great for a local bar/food place. My only advice is if you go here make sure you have time to wait for seating, and for your food to brought out to you because sometimes it takes a while. However customer service was great our waiter was very well informed of the menu and helped my table decide on what we wanted. 4 stars due to wait time.

Second time at Dovetail and both were excellent experiences. Food is wonderful, service is outstanding and the atmosphere was on point. They also have an extraordinary bourbon list for a restaurant in middle GA! You must try the Crack Pie for desert, I'm getting the shakes just thinking about it!

I was so excited to visit here and bring my date here too! The atmosphere was amazing. I sat down at the bar, which was empty. I then asked the waiter what he would suggest as the best burger and the best beer, he was pretty helpful. I hour and 15 minutes later, no food still.and no waiter. The couple who had sat down next to me just 15 minutes prior had received their food as I hit that 1 hour and 15 minute mark. I can not speak for the rest of the restaurant as I was only at the bar but it was horrible. I was so disappointed that I got up and walked out. I will not be returning. I had picked this restaurant based off of all the amazing reviews.

I've had burgers from the east coast to the west coast. This place has the perfect balance of taste and toppings, none over power the other. Their beer selection has a wide range to fit almost any taste, local brews, national micro brews and domestic, bottle or pitcher. You can't go wrong by stopping in and checking it out. Everything is made fresh in house, from fries to cream cheese, it is a great place to stop in to have a bite.

Great food. Laid back environment. Rustic and eclectic decor. The Billy Carter shake is a must have. The fried mushrooms are delicious. Juicy burgers. A local place you can't go wrong with. The next time you're in Macon, stop in.

Stopped by here for dinner when I was going Atlanta, it was so good we decided to stop by when we were heading back home to Florida. Burgers are tasty without being greasy. The milkshakes are out of control. The place itself is clean with a good vibe. The staff is nice and attentive. Everything you could possible want out of a restaurant. Hopefully I have a reason to back to Atlanta soon :)

The burgers are great. Nice little downtown place to get a beer and a good dinner for not too bad of a price. Usually will go here with my family when they come to visit since they have something for everyone.

I always love the staff. They're fun and actually seem to enjoy their jobs. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the food is incredible. I always try to get the burger of the month or the daily special; they're always creative dishes with lots of flavor. This may be the best restaurant in the city.

Eat here a few times a month when entertaining guests. Loved the elk burger and their craft beer selection. Great staff and cool place to eat. Arrive early because lunch gets busy around 12.

I am a burger enthusiast. To be fair I'm not really sure if that's an official title or more of that I've already eaten my body weight in burgers this year (it's February). But anyway, this casual burger bar has some of the best burgers I've yet to try in Georgia. They have colorful names, along with unique toppings (Fried green tomatoes, peanut butter, etc) definitely give this place a try if you're looking to eat a fat juicy delicious burger.

This is a very trendy place in the historic district of Macon, Georgia. They specialize in very unusual burgers and shakes but carry other items too. The service was exceptional and the food was excellent. The shakes we had were good but the burgers were better. Medium but reasonably priced food. The orange crush chicken sandwich was excellent. Not a typical burger place. Get there early because there will be a wait by 6 pm.
