  We were here late September to early October. Quiet, very clean washrooms, extremely helpful and friendly staff. I'd give it five stars if it was more wooded and private but this time of year it's perfect.

  Great place to camp. Had showers, bathrooms, it was pretty clean. Good, level place to pitch the tent and fire ring. We stayed the night before doing a 14'er and it worked out perfect. People at the store were nice and they have an ice cream social at 730 pm if you want to go to it.

  Great little camp site for tents or RVs. We stayed in a tent only. The campsite let's you start a "tab" with your campground number and has a very well stocked general store so if you need wood or ice you can "charge it to your campsite" and pay for it on check out. Location was great, about half a mile to turquoise lake and 30 minutes to Twin Lakes. This facility does have showers, bathrooms, laundry, and they do an ice cream social every night. Very family oriented!

  The camp ground is fantastic. The experience was another matter though. I had items stolen from my campsite and the neighbors were noisy for all hours of the night. People showing up at 2 am and slamming car doors, laughing and yelling. Stayed there twice in the last month and same both times.

  It's so dark at night. You can barely see anyone. No lights, very very quiet. Went here June 1st week. Not impressed. Although the front desk people were really nice. Oh! Also, LOTS OF MOSQUITOES

  Incredible campground, clean and very friendly staff. Travel many places for years on my motorcycle and pitch a tent. Great tent sites on the hill behind close to everything. Thank again for great time and will return next year.

  The site was great - had water on-site, the showers and bathroom were nearby, and the tent site was free of anything sharp and well defined. Plenty of room to set up a tent, park a car, and there was a picnic bench on site which was handy. The store had essentials that you may have forgotten and the town of Leadville was a short drive away. My only complaint is that there seemed to be a fair amount of noise from the roads. It didn't interfere with my sleep in any way but it made you feel like you were camping in a backyard instead of two miles high in the middle of Colorado at times.

  I used to come here as a family, I remember having an excellent time here and having a few nice luxuries available, such as the gift shop, bathrooms, showers, etc, etc. About a month or so before this post, me and my brother went there to go camping in just two tents, our car, and absolutely nothing else for just one night. It was going to cost us about $60 with a 10% discount! Sadly as much as I liked going here in the past, I can only give this place 3 stars, and that's being generous. If you want a true camping experience, you could do what me and my brother did, and go camping in the abundant "B.L.M. Lands" where it is free to go camping, even though they don't have the luxuries such as bathrooms and showers, you could buy a portable shower kit, and toilet bucket, and to solve the water problem, camp near a creek/river and use a water purifier (~$12 at Walmart) to drink from it, nothing beats the cold, natural mountain water!

  Friendly staff, relaxed campground, good enough facilities, and in a pretty decent location. Not as nice as being on Turquoise Lake, but then again it's awfully nice to have hookups and facilities. I'd definitely stay here again
