A wonderful place to visit if accompanied by little kids. The butterfly house has a good collection of vibrant butterflies that will enthuse kids and adults alike. The play area for children had lot of fun and educative activities for kids. It was a snowy say so we couldn't go anywhere outdoors in the open, so decided to go here instead. It was a good experience and was worth the time.

Amazing place to bring the kids. There's fun for kids of all ages (including the adults that act like kids). One time I lost my daughter and was searching frantically. One of the staff noticed and immediately everyone was on the lookout. Within minutes she was found. Great trained staff.

We absolutely loved this museum. We were in town with my 2 1/2 year old for some medical appointments and visited on Saturday while we had some down time. My son loved it - he's still talking about it. We're about four hours away, but I'd consider making the trip back just to visit this museum again.

Great fun, finally was able to check out the retro pinball machines. Good mix of 'static' fixtures that are always there but also a subset of interactive displays that frequently change (every few months) so it doesn't get stale. Kids love the Wegmans pretend market for some reason. They get to be shoppers, cashiers and stock people in training

This is a really good children's museum. We drove here from the Syracuse, New York area just to come here and play for a few hours. Museum parking lot was about at capacity and there is still plenty of room for the kids to play. This is a really big place with a bunch of different things to do!!

Strong Museum is one of my children's favorite places to play, create, and explore new things (the rotating exhibits). We don't frequent the Butterfly Garden, but if you don't live in the area you should take the time to see it while you visit from out of town. We find that no matter who is visiting us (age 2-67) there is something for everyone to enjoy and appreciate. We can't leave without a ride on the train or carousel. The gift shop is a great place to buy creative, thoughtful gifts for nieces and nephews even if you don't have time to enter the museum.

My sister was recently visiting from out of town. I brought her to see the Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden. Not only was the display absolutely beautiful, but our guide Emily was incredibly warm and intelligent. She immediately began to share her wealth of information the moment we asked a question. She gave us plenty of personal space but was right there with further fascinating facts the moment we showed any interest in specific items. She was the perfect guide and took the whole experience to the next level.

Absolutely amazing place for kids! The highlights for my kids were the Sesame Street theme play area setup to look like the set of the old show; the multiple play areas including rice - multi-sensory and puppet area - to name a couple. The play area that my kids enjoyed the Wegman's Supermarket. This was the best supermarket that we have seen at a science centre. They also have a nostalgic video arcade area - where you can play. It was great to relive part of my childhood. It would be great to have a membership there if we lived in the area as you can sign out books as well.

This is basically the most perfect children's museum I've ever seen. We were completely blown away the first time we came, have been back at least twice a month for the last 6 months (making the membership pay for itself almost immediately!), and literally find something new every single time we come. Our son is only 21 months and already loves it (he screams with delight when he recognizes the horse outside when we pull up to the front door) and I know he will only enjoy it more and more as he gets older. Wish I could give 10 stars!!

One of the best spots for kids (and adults) in Rochester. Getting the membership is worth it. You can go whenever you want, even if it's just for an hour or two. So much for kids of all ages to do. During the harsh Winters it's especially great to have an indoor option. Love this place.

Probably the best museum for kids and kids at heart. Everything in the place is interactive and expects to be played with. Kids can visit a replica sesame street or shop at a miniature Wegmans. For the adults there is a dedicated Pinball room or arcade with all the classics from growing up along with modern games. All of the games are less than a quarter to play. Well worth the drive from Buffalo or Syracuse

A wonderful experience. Staff are helpful and there are many of them around. Exhibits are great, many places to build things and make crafts. The butterfly garden is an extra $4 for kids, $5 for adults. But you get put in with a small group and get to enjoy the area without walking all over each other. Well worth it at least once. The arcade area with the video game hall of fame and pinball area is heaven for a gamer. If I lived closer I would get a membership.
