I went to Van Bortel to buy my first ever new car. I had an old Subaru and knew I wanted to stick with the brand. I looked at reviews online and got recommendations from coworkers, all which led me here. I expected my first big car purchase to be a lot scarier, so I was totally taken aback by how simple Van Bortel makes the whole process. I think it took less than 24 hours from my test drive to when I drove it home. There was no haggling, which was nice, but the biggest factor for me leaving a 5 star review is that at no point in the process did anyone try to upsell me on anything at all. I came in knowing exactly what I wanted and that was respected. That alone makes me willing to recommend a dealer hands down. So big thanks to Jim and the rest of the team for helping me drive away happy in a brand new Subaru Forester--looking forward to many many years of adventures & memories in it.

My experience with Kitty is mixed. Generally speaking, service is better than other dealers, but they won't fix my remote starter. I tell them exactly what happens, and all I get back are canned replies that tell me they didn't hear a word of it. Now, with the weather turning colder, I'm reminded every morning I spent hundreds on a remote starter that doesn't work.

THE BEST Subaru dralership in the area. Went in Saturday for a minor problem with the auto dimming hi beams and they took care of it in just a few minutes. Even got to chat with Kitty for awhile. Love this place!

Van Bortel Subaru has got to be one of the best dealerships around! My salesman, Shawn Pies, really knows how to take care of people. From start to finish I felt like Shawn had my best interests as his priority. This was the most seamless car buying experience I have ever had. I highly recommend Van Bortel Subaru for your next car purchase!

I drive 40 minutes to go to Van Bortel for service and every time it is fantastic and completely worth the drive even though I live 5 minutes from another Subaru dealer. Shane Is awesome to work with and has been very helpful and responsive with getting my car repaired. Steve ,Marine, and Joey are also very nice and have helped me out in previous visits. Everyone in service has always been very helpful and kind.
PS. The call center is also very knowledgeable and spot on which is very uncommon with dealership call centers.response / report this review -

Top notch service. We are on our fifth Subaru, all from VanBortel. The service bay is drive-in so you don't have to be affected by the weather. Coffee, soda, and snacks are complimentary while you wait.

I went to Van Bortle, after my Fiancé had already bought her own car through Doyle Subaru. We weren't incredibly impressed with Doyle, and were willing to give Van Bortle a shot. What a game changer it was at Van Bortle Subaru!
We worked with Jeremy Vitale, and to our surprise, there was no haggling, Jeremy was excellent! We wanted a family safe vehicle, something to last for years to come, and he easily helped us into a great vehicle. Rather than telling us what we could and could not afford, he was elegant with his wording, when we looked at a car a bit out of budget. Slightly let down that the car we loved wouldn't be a possibility based on the budget we were aiming for, Jeremy quickly devised a plan for us. He found us the same car, minus what we didn't need in the car, brand new, no miles on it, no previous owner, at a cost within our budget.
We were amazed to see that there was no battling for a fair deal! Jeremy listened attentively to our questions and concerns, then effectively addressed each. Rather than shed light on the features we would be missing out on between the sport addition used Impreza, and the new Impreza, he took the time to explain the benefits and highlight the upgrades that Subaru had made to the vehicle in this model year.
If we were to start back at square one, my fiancé would have bought her car here as well.
We can easily see how Van Bortel Subaru out shines other Subaru dealerships in the area!
We couldn't be happier with our decision to go here, and furthermore to work with Jeremy, who made the process enjoyable and pain free!!response / report this review -

My wife and I had a 5 star experience buying a new Subaru Impreza Sport from Van Bortel. Simo and Alex worked together to give us a very good deal with a lot of packaged addons and a great warranty. We are extremely happy with the car. I would work with Simo and Alex again as they were very honest and straightforward.

This was by far the worst experience i have ever had getting my vehical serviced. They charged me 200$ to fix my car and they did not fix the problem. After telling me that they would keep me updated and resolve the problem they continued to give me the run around and never called me once. DO NOT GET YOUR CAR FIXED HERE THEY SUCK
