Been staying here every time for past 15 years. Always had wonderful time. Always ton of activities. Staff are still wonderful but management must have changed. Not a lot of activities this time. Changed smoking policy. Not a good thing. They don't mind pets but smoking on balcony not allowed. They even charge for ice now. Still nice staff, nice rooms and affordably priced but when u used to the way it use to be, just not same.

This is 2 nd time at the Sandpiper and enjoyed both times. Wish we had gotten room with 2 beds for more room but our fault. View from balcony was awesome. Really quiet rooms and enjoyed the kitchen. Close to Panama City Beach & lots of things to do. Shower had awesome pressure which was wonderful. Staff very friendly & helpful. Highly recommend the Sandpiper. Should offer military discounts.

My family had a great time during our stay in September. The kids were always entertained either in the pools, the tiki bar, and of course the gorgeous beach. We rented an ocean kayak and had a blast with that too! The rooms we had did have some issues (one of the bathroom vent covers had fallen unhinged for example) but overall were clean and comfortable with a great balcony view. We also couldn’t get food delivered from either the grille or Coconuts restaurant one evening which was a bit challenging. Overall though, we greatly enjoyed our stay and are planning to return again next year!

I can't begin to tell you how wonderful this property is, I've been told it's one the oldest properties in Panama City Beach. I was on a mini vacation from Jacksonville, FL My sister niece and I had the best time ever. I would highly recommend this property. The staff, The variety of things to do are endless. Thank you for running a top notch resort. We were in room 787 and the view was breathtaking.

Very nice family friendly Place. There are things for everyone to do. We have a large family group that stays in the Villas and it's a great value for the number of people we can sleep.

Just recently stayed here for the second time, and was even more pleased this time than the last time. I came down when Irma was still a potential threat, and it was pretty empty. I arrived early, and the room was ready (and a bigger room than what I had paid for - with a balcony and a fridge! :D). The beach was beautiful (even though we got REALLY burnt the first day), and the staff was great. I really love this place, and the location. I will definitely be coming back next year sometime during the off season.
My only complaint is that the beds are NOT comfy, but the super soft blankets and the amazing balcony view made up for that (and I remembered from my first visit the beds weren't fantastic).
Oh, and we left two days early because of the potential for heavy rain/winds from Irma, and as I was checking out (I was not asking for a refund, just letting them know we were heading out early so the room could be turned), they refunded us for one day, since we did the buy 4 stay 5 deal. That was fantastic and unexpected.

Great place to take the kids! We have a 5 and 9 year old and they absolutely loved staying here.and haven't quit begging to go back ever since! There is plenty to keep you busy, outdoor pools & indoor pool+lazy river & slides that guarantee a good time, without the worry of what the weather may be like. It's a win/win for all!

We stayed there for the Labor Day weekend and we loved every moment spent there. Everything was great!! Kari was amazing to work with, she helped us get a much needed upgrade in rooms. You really don't need to leave the resort for anything. We highly recommend this resort and we are already looking at booking there for the 4th of July week.

I love this resort so much! Every time I go to panama this is where I stay. It has everything there literally nice pools hot tub, tiki bar which is really cool. Has nice swings where you can sit out and watch the ocean. Very nice rooms and clean facility and very friendly staff. It's very convenient to everything we needed down there and shop wise.

I've stayed here twice and plan on coming down again in May. I've LOVED it each time. From the amenities to the atmosphere. The beaches can't be beat. They're pet friendly and the prices are great. Even a no-view room is right around a hall corner to the beach!

It's a little older resort but, I love all the amenities for families with kids. It's also quite due to the fact it's a little farther down front beach road. We visit 2-3 times a year. Also they have specials throughout the year, stay 2 get 3rd night free. Great room selection for every family size and budget!! Can't wait to get there in 3 weeks!!

We typically visit during Fall Break so this was a new time of year for us to go and I will say that I believe we will stick with Fall Break.
The crowd was somewhat different and it appeared to be wearing on much of the front desk staff--many times they were just rude. I was pretty disappointed since I had referred someone else to the resort who flat out said "Fall Break has to be different, otherwise I can't imagine why all of you guys come back (during Fall Break we have 4 rooms on the property). At one point during our stay, the resort was out of beach towels the WHOLE day. I was given two bath towels to take to the beach with me and told to check back for beach towels. After checking back over about a 3 hour time span, my son told me he wasn't going to keep going back to check because they were getting aggravated with him. NOT NICE, SANDPIPER!
At another time I called the front desk to get something from housekeeping and before I could hardly get out what I needed was quickly told "we don't have any." And hung up on.
We are still debating our Fall break destination but we choose Sandpiper because of the staff, the location, etcBUT if this is the Sandpiper of 2017, maybe we need to check out other resorts.response / report this review -

The resort was amazing. It had everything needed to keep my 3 small children busy. They are 6, 7, and 9. With the resort being right on the beach and on the strip its easy access to both. The Staff was very kind and very accommodating. I would definitely stay here again!!

My family and I love staying at Sandpiper. It will be where we stay from now on. It is easy to get in and out of. It is clean. It is located in a great spot. Has all the accommodations you need. And the staff is super friendly and helpful. And the price is affordable! Perfect place for family vacation.
