I’d give a zero star rating if I could.
Soo disappointing! Dirty, greasy headboard. Dead flowering plants. I asked for extra blankets that didn’t come the first night when asked.
I asked for a tea pot in the room and it a coffee maker with paper cups, and k cup for tea, which doesn’t allow the tea to steep.
Hostess didn’t tend to their station and kept guests waiting needlessly.
Great view of the Statue of Liberty with very dirty windows.
Woken up after 9:00pm to ask if I’d received my tea pot. The one I was provided was a coffee pot at 3:00pm. Not sure why they waited six hours to ask. I said I was fine and sleeping. A half hour later, I was woken up again. After that, I was unable to go back to sleep until after midnight.
Offered a credit that didn’t materialize.
It’s understandable that it takes a while to get the car. However, it was very cold and the outside door was left open. This is a horrible waste of energy and very unpleasant for the guests.
I don’t blame the staff. They were all very kind and trying hard. It was terrible Management. Zero attention to detail. I’ve had a much better experience at inexpensive hotels.
There is no point in spending your money to stay here until they get new management and train their staff.
Ritz-Carlton is the best. Went for high tea to celebrate my birthday. The staff was so polite and accommodating. The Ritz-Carlton NYC is known for their scones. So good. I loved the tea sandwiches too. Wished I could stay longer to have a drink in bar. Next trip for sure!! Oh the concierge helped with directions and gave me sightseeing ideas.
What can you say about Ritz Carleton .. everything guests come to expect in quality and cost. The building is old but elegant, fantastic central location, unparalleled friendly and attentive service. Valet service was seamless.
My two sisters and I went for Afternoon Tea a treat from our children. A lovely gift. Enjoy the afternoon 😀
Nice location just outside of Central Park and walking distance to Time Square. The service was quite nice and the staff was very friendly. It seemed to be leaving the grandeur I had expected from this chain.
I only stayed one night (visiting family) NYC itself is overrated but the hotel was really nice everyone there was really nice.
Wonderful afternoon tea in the Star Lounge! Best scones I've ever had. It includes tea refills as well. Highly recommend to anyone who is a fan of afternoon tea.
There's no doubt that the Ritz is one of my favorite hotel chains. However the Central Park New York Ritz Carlton is unbelievably gorgeous. The staff is extremely friendly the rooms are magnificent and you cannot beat the location. I highly, highly recommend this hotel.
Where do I begin? Service was slow, even though it was not a busy morning. My husband's sausage had a mysterious chunk cut out of it - were they hiding a bite taken out of the meat? Revolting. The eggs were flavourless. The breakfast potatoes were the wrong variety, with a grainy taste. The breakfast pancakes were not cooked all the way through. Had this been food served in a high school cafeteria, for ten bucks, I would have been satisfied. But to eat such ORDINARY and flavourless food at the Ritz for over $350 for four adults and two toddlers is really intolerable.
Beautiful hotel and great views of the city. Staff is so accommodating and friendly. Suites are lavish and wonderful with great amenities. You get what you pay for here.
Luxurious hotel with spacious rooms across the street from Central Park. Classic style with larger guest rooms and bathrooms. Very nice hotel, but well reflected in the price you pay. If you want luxury near the park and shopping areas and don't mind the bill, this is a very good option.
Great location. Great staff. The club room is perfect. Walking distance to great shopping and sights. Was able to secure dinner reservation for me. Try Sarabeth restaurant next door to the hotel for brunch..
If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the cheapest rates around
I just checked in to the Ritz Carlton Central Park location and the service is incredible. It's my daughter's birthday and they decorated the room with balloons and a streamer, had a beautiful cake and cards for her AND had a DVD of Drake (who cancelled his concert this weekend - which is the reason we came to NYC this weekend). From the moment we walked in, everyone was amazing, accommodating, and delivered exceptional service. Ritz Carlton, you are our hotel of choice from here on (and we have stayed at every top hotel in NY).
Best hotel for a weekend in midtown. Very reasonable rates. Room and food credit package can't be beat. Picture postcard view of cental park. Very friendly and helpful staff. Convenient parking. Drinks and appetizers from 5 to 7 PM included. This was our 4th visit. Will definitely return.
