Good food, prompt service but extremely rare parking. Get there way early!

I've been here twice and have yet to see anything that is really special. Ate at the bar both times where the bartender and wait staff were pretty good.

Everything at the Rowayton Seafood restaurant is excellent. You know the seafood is fresh when you look out on their seafood market and the river where the fish is brought in from the Sound. In the restaurant, the local fish is prepared as simply as it should be -- delicious! It's accompanied by simple but also delicious french fries, cooked just right, or by very tasty cole slaw or various fresh salads. The clam chowder is perfect, by my standards -- bearing actual fresh clams in a delicious creamy base. If you go when it's light (lunch year-round or early evening for dinner), ask for a table on the porch (enclosed in the colder weather). The views of the river and the boats add to the nautical atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Food quality was excellent; however the service was sub-par. The server was distracted and forgot to place our dinner order. We waited 45 minutes for our meals.

I used to go to this restaurant 15-20 years ago. My pallete has changed since then, I no longer find mashed potatoes smothered with butter tasty for example. My opinion is that they have not changed with the times and still have a heavy hand when it comes to butter, cream and overcooking the meal. I prefer Sails down the road (less butter! to contend with)!!

Its gone downhill. Our food was served less than 5 minutes after ordering (obviously not freshly crooked) and we orded grilled salmon. Thats a great way to get way to get food borne illnesses.

This was good but not as good as the last few places we have eaten. I tried the fried oysters and they were over cooked. The tuna tartar was delicious. My husband had the cam chowder and said excellent. Also had the key lime pie and volcano cake both were excellent. Over fried oysters made this a 4 instead of a five-star.

Great place to enjoy both food and the atmosphere. The dishes with lobster were all good.

Excellent food served in a very relaxed atmosphere by very friendly staff. Tuna flat bread, oysters and lobster a must try. Blue berry pie to die for.

Great food and service - very friendly and efficient. Terrific environment - and the water views make it that much more special. We've been steady customers for many years.

This place is so close to receiving 5 stars. The food is just on the edge of being great. Lobster roll sandwich is very good, dirty martini's are fantastic, the ambiance is also very nice. Recommend the oysters' rockefeller!
