Very well constructed building in beautiful Harbor Point. I like the small touches throughout that building that the new management has done. The office is responsive, I enjoy the events in the other buildings and I am pleased with my experience overall. The halls could use a new coat of paint but that's about it.

If are you looking for historic charm in a modern era this is the choice for you. The apartments are lovely inside and offer modern kitchens and baths. I moved in about a year ago and just decided to stay another year. I shopped around and found that your standard cookie cutter apartments around the corner were much more expensive. The front desk attendant is always nice to have even though the building is less expensive. My only suggestion would be to add assigned parking in front of the building. I would recommend the apartments to anyone who is looking in the Harbor Point neighborhood.

If I could give 0 starts I would. I've never in my life dealt with a more unprofessional incompetent leasing office in my life! I've never had such a difficult time trying to get ACCURATE information from a so-called professional office. I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone who wants to have peace of mind, you won't get it!! Just take your hard earned money elsewhere, trust me you won't regret it!

UPDATE: turns out my $750 deposit is NON REFUNDABLE! I attempted to contact The Lofts numerous times over the course of 48 hours to ask questions regarding the building and my calls/emails were unanswered, but since I decided not to move forward The Loft alleges they "lost" money since the apartment was being held. CRIMINAL! Time to hire an attorney what a nightmare.

The leasing agent I worked with was very professional in person and then when I decided to move forward with the leasing process they were SO SLOW, my confirmation email came back with errors, questions took days to get answers. I ultimately decided against leasing at The Lofts before receiving my lease and realized my credit card was charged not only for the application fee but also for the entire security deposit ($750). I hadn't even gotten answers to my questions, nor had I even seen the lease yet! I was told I would be refunded via check and it would take A MONTH to process. So sneaky- I'm relieved I decided to not move forward.

It claimed to be luxurious living. But, it is absolutely not!!! To save its cost, it did not update the beaten up apartment. It asked you to take the beaten up apartment. It dared to charge $65 amenity fee while there is near ZERO amenity. The so called amenity, the lounge, is actually the staffs' break room. There is no roof top garden, no swimming pools, no public kitchen, no theater nor game room. It claimed that they are organizing some activities which I believed most of residents have zero interest to attend. $65 amenity??? The only amenity it got is an exercise room which all apartments in the neighborhood have. The dryer is very small, and it vented to your living room!!! Yes, you got the hot air and humidity FREE for sure. You have to turn on the AC to run the dryer!!! And, leasing agent would take notes and promise you the moon but the notes probably were thrown away as soon as you walked out of the door. It is not just under delivered. It can be called LIE most of the time. I do not think that the leasing agents or the management team understand that their salary is coming from the residents' rents. They should work for the residents. But, NO!. They worked for themselves!! The agent appeared to be a good listener, but she is NOT on your side, nor have your best interest in her heart. If you read others' reviews, you knew that most of the words said by them, like it is OK, are ALL lies. And, the parking is a nightmare. It is near impossible to find a street parking. While most neighboring apartments are offering FREE 1st car parking or a small fee, this apartment charges you $110 parking!!! It is outrageous expensive! The rent might appear a little bit cheaper than others. But, that is NOT true!!! If you added the parking, it is not cheaper. If you count the amenity, it is actually a very EXPENSIVE beaten up apartment!!! The floor is uneven due to foundation shift. The walls are cracked. The hot air and the cold air came into your apartment from the cracks!!! And, read the management team's comments on the reviews. It is just a show!!! They are not going to change anything. Do not be fooled!! If you are looking for a luxurious living, here is NOT your answer.

Great building in Harbor Point at a great price point! I have placed several clients in this building and they love the rich historical feel of the exposed brick, old wood beams and huge windows. My clients love it here and I keep bringing back for. I place clients all over Stamford and this is one of the best values for your money. The office staff are always pleasant to deal with and the building is kept clean and well maintained. Pinnacle properties is welcomed change from the last management company who was awful to deal with.

Our apartment is pleasant, the front desk staff is great, and the neighborhood is very convenient to downtown Stamford and the train station. However, the management team has been extremely frustrating to deal with as problems drag on for months without resolution. Starting last fall, we expressed concerns about a terrible odor in our apartment which turned out to be a pre-existing condition in the brickwork that had been "sealed over" before we moved in. Eventually (in the spring) the leasing office agreed to let us move to a different unit, but then charged us a transfer/application fee, double-charged us for rent on the prior and new units, did not return our security deposit for the original unit, and started charging us a monthly fee for being uninsured even though they were physically shown a certificate from our insurance company before we moved into the new unit. (We also had to pay for the movers ourselves.) Our requests for a response to these issues have been mostly ignored, and we have been reduced to threatening legal action. If we had known then what we know now, we would have kept looking rather than choose The Lofts.

When I first moved to this building, the leasing company was great. Now that Pinnacle manages the Lofts, things hardly ever get done.

One of the computers that give you entry access has been down for 6 months! Can anyone believe that it takes 6 months to repair or replace a computer?!!

The people at the leasing company do not respond to emails---so if you have a complaint or concern, you can basically shove it as the leasing office doesn't care about helping you.

The overall area around the property is ill maintained and the leasing office does nothing to stop residents from letting their dogs poop everywhere.

The building is beautiful but PINNACLE LIVING is the WORST. They hire stupid people who do not know how to use the phone or email.

Also, there are no speed bumps on the street right in front of the building so cars fly at high speeds. I've seen people and their dogs almost get run over by flying cars. You think that Pinnacle would see such a thing and correct it. We hate you Pinnacle.

Also, part of the building is allocated to low income housing so you might just find yourself living to hood rats from Bridgeport and the Bronx. I agree with the review by Mandy. There has been a couple of shootings in the area because there is no screening process or background checks done on future low income residents so they let in who ever.

Horrible, they had a lovely, professional leasing agent when I first moved in.
Then they fired her within weeks .
Construction on second building made a huge mess and parking was insane. The worst was when we had to move before our lease was finished due to a family emergency.
The Manager was kind and assured us that he would fill our apartment quickly , then the nightmare began. they turned the AC up full blast resulting in a 350 electric bill. within weeks after saying "we could make a settlement" he sent our account to collections. What a Lying bastard. Now years later his lies still haunt us- they will not discuss it, nor will they remove it from my credit report and worse, the so called balance is twice what we owed.
DON'T GO THERE !!!!!! AWFUL MANAGEMENT.

What started off as a lovely experience quickly went south. My wife and I have lived here for the past three years. The front desk staff are wonderful as is the maintenance team. However, the processing end is a disaster. We went to renew our lease around the time BLT was bought out. Should we have elected not to renew, we would have needed to give 60 days notice. The office did not provide us with a new lease packet until days before expiration basically forcing us to renew. With that said they did extend our lease with no rent increase (a mild attempt to remedy the situation).

They then failed to update that our renters insurance was renewed. This resulted in my incurring a fee for 3 months (each month I was calling to get it reversed). It took 3 attempts. The final time I went to call I was stuck in a digital voicemail loop until I had to call the office (a number I looked up by googling because it is not listed on the website). Now Louis is extremely helpful as is/are the rest of the employee base, but I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone else. The lack of back office support is frustrating to say the least and things routinely fall through the cracks.

I'd give the hard working staff a 5/5 review. The facilities a solid 3. But the back office payment team, lease origination team etc. a 0/5.

The only good thing about the Lofts is the awesome construction from it was the Old Yale and Locke Building--that is, you get an apartment on the old side of the building as they constructed an addition to the old building that does NOT have the heavy wood beams and exposed real brick.

The Lofts are now being managed by Pinnacle Living and they are JOKE of a leasing company. The computer that allows easy access to the building has been broken for 3 months. They fail to even notice when light bulbs burn out so they are never replaced. Security sucks and people from the other side of the street on Henry Street, park their hood rat cars in the parking spaces reserved for The Lofts and the leasing company has no system in place to recognize these intruder vehicles. There has been a run down car parked in the same spot for three (3) years.

Also, front desk security does not notice when hood rats teenagers are hanging in the lobby.

But the building structure is quite beautiful but you have to live on the OLD SIDE of the BUILDING.

Best looking apartment in the area. Doesn't have the luxury amenities of the surrounding apartments. Better rent rates than similar apartments on the other side of 95. Walking distance to fairway.
