Mattress hard as a rock. We bought an air mattress to use instead. Fridge and light fixtures broken. Neighbors were smoking which made our room smell like smoke also because doors don't shut all the way. And don't want to open. Shower and sink doesn't drain. The only good thing is they are pet friendly, but have no where for them to use the bathroom.

The office and front desk was not even open and on a Friday at that! Had to go to a completely different property to check in and get the issues addressed. The first room they put us in gas a broken air conditioner. They did move us to a second room without any problem other then having to go to a different property a second time! Both rooms had dirty floors, broken floor tiles, cigarette burns on the tub, beer caps and cigarette butts on the balcony, and other similar issues. The rooms have personal balconies and are right on the beach! I definitely loved that! The price was great but some of the things needed to be addressed!

We stayed here on spring break of 2017, and really enjoyed it! The staff was kind, the room was tidy, and any time we needed something fixed in our room it only took a few minutes for someone to get to us! People, you get what you pay for!! The complementary breakfast was great, and Patrick is a really nice guy. Because of our experience the first time we decided to stay again during fall break of 2017 and noticed the rooms have been updated! Things have been painted, microwave and coffee maker added, new silverware, and very clean rooms! Great TV service, nice pool (always kept clean) and the breakfast room also looked updated! The staff is very kind and good at what they do! We love staying here, and we will definitely be back! For the price you pay, this hotel is fantastic!!!! (Ps there's nothing like a gulf view to put a smile on your face)

Well it was ok for the quick trip. Room 361 has issues Balcony railing is not safe for a child!! But thank goodness my son wasn't with me this trip. The Balcony also had ants really bad. But all in all it was a useful kitchen and for the price and the ocean it was well worth it.. But if you're looking for fancy this is not it

Low end clean room. No cold water. Both taps were hot. Air doesn't work great. You get what you pay for. Works for a quick over night stay

We just got back from our vacation here, very pleased with the reef at sea haven, great location one of the best, right on the beach, right by sharkys to eat, just great location. Staff was VERY helpful, as soon as we got to the hotel we locked our keys in our car & the ladies at the front desk were very polite & very helpful in finding us a locksmith to get into our car. We also later on got locked out of our room somehow & the maintenance man & the front desk were very quick to help us get back into our room. Really nice place to stay .

Summary: You are getting what you paid for. The Reef hotel located in Panama City Beach is a great place to stay if you are low on cash, or staying for a couple of days. Although the hotel needs to improve on their cleanliness and maintenance, the essentials are provided for a great vacation; great location and comfort.response / report this review -

I was so disappointed in this place and management for misrepresentation on their website. There's always complaints because you cant please everyoneI get that! This was bad! There was mildew in the shower and the curtains. The air conditioner was falling apart. I know its suppose to be affordable and you get what you pay for, but this was disrespectful. I asked 2 times in one day for my room to be vacuumeddidnt happen. The elevator sounds like its on its last leg and the expiration date is 8/1/17 and i left 7/30/17 why wait to the last minute. Water leaking by the first floor elevator door. You see exposed plumbing. Taking the steps was awful,it was dark and dirty. The one star was for the convenience of the beach. This could be a good spot if management cared enough to update it so it could be still affordable but clean and comfortable.

Location is the best thing about this hotel. The view from the balcony is spectacular and the proximity to Sharkey's Restaurant is great. The elevator is not too slow, as is often a problem. I'd say the only complaint I have is the beds are too hard and very low to the ground. I would come back again.

We just stayed there 2 nights. We loved the location, and pet friendly. We didn't mind it, but there was live music playing pretty late. AC worked good.
Cons: bathroom was dirty and dated. Saw huge cockroach suffering on tiled floors {{shudders}}. Drawers on kitchenette were falling out. Continental breakfast was all carbs, no protein. Very thin blanket on the bed. Mattress was super hard and the pillows were tiny and my ears were hurting the next day because I'd lose the pillow while sleeping. Little 40 inch TV in the room and absolutely no decor on the walls. House keeping dropped a bag of garbage in our room and did nothing else. We never would have known we got skipped except that we actually gained a bag of garbage by the door.
And lastly, my Husband got SICK from eating at Sharkys! Walk down to Runaway Island. Their food is 10 times better.
If you plan on being super busy and out of the hotel, just using the room to sleep n shower this place will serve it's purpose. Otherwise, overall comfort is lacking.response / report this review -

There was mold in the restroom, and I did not feel safe here most of the time. The people who were staff here could barely speak English, and the maids were all male and they stared at my daughters and me. The doors could pretty much be kicked open, and it was not clean. The beds were basic and the blankets and sheets well worn and scratchy. There is a nice man, Patrick, who worked the breakfast each morning. He was very sweet and a genuinely nice guy.

Every room has access to Gulf views. Room cleanliness is very low and rooms need major updates especially the bathrooms. Room service does a horrible job at cleaning, they will come in replace the towels and leave!! This place is grose. They allow pets so expect to see pet waste on the stairs or even tour room. There is only one elevator and it didn't work all the time.
The breakfast is horrible. I will not recommend!response / report this review -

For the amount I paid, I got a very beautiful view with a spacious room. Walked out the back and was standing on the beach. The beach was beautiful and people were friendly. The staff here were very helpful and there was always someone around ready to help with anything.
