A really nice place to get a coffee and chill. The staff are very friendly and the coffee is good. It can get quite busy anytime after 10 AM, which makes it pretty difficult to get work done. A definite place that you should check out if you are in Birmingham.

We stop by here almost once a week, sometimes more. Its one of our go to coffee shops in the city center. There are several great local shops, but Red Cat is the most reasonably priced local coffee place. And its good! I am particularly fond of their pumpkin muffins as well, but there are plenty of breakfast options if that isn't your thing.

Great atmosphere and staff! Walked there for lunch today for the first time and it look a little longer then usual to get food and they gave me a free coffee drink for it 🤗 They seem to really care about their customers. I highly recommend the turkey and hummus wrap! It was to die for! We will defiantly be back!

Had a good French press coffee at an affordable price. The selection for espresso and lattes were good but could have been better for black coffee.

Great coffee and friendly staff. There wasn't quite enough seating when we were there on a rainy day, but can't fault them for success! :-)

The coffee is SO good. And the ham and Swiss croissant is perfect! The atmosphere is laid back and relaxing. I love to go here to work on editing or homework.

Cute little coffee shop adjacent to the Railroad Park. Baristas were friendly and I appreciate that they offer non-dairy and gluten-free options. Indoor and outdoor seating available or get it to go and stroll the park while you sip!

****Updated to add that their gluten-free muffins are awesome! So good!

Red Cat is pretty decent, I have gotten the batch brew at Pepper Place market many a Saturday. However, I went today, about 3:30 on a Friday, which is not a busy time of day. As I was looking at the menu and we we're deciding what to order (had literally been there about 55 seconds) the guy behind the counter seemed very impatient. My husband was trying to ask about the tea options but we felt as if the guy was annoyed and wanted us to either order or move. In the meantime, a single person walked up behind us, so it's not like we were holding up the line. Got a chocolate chip cookie, it was tasty. And the tea was good.

My favorite coffee shop in Birmingham. Everybody raves about the coffee, but I would like to take a moment out of your day and recommend the muffins. Awesome vibe, great folks. There is also a small farmer market literally across the street in select days. A great break from reality.
