This place is terrible. I lived here for two years, had multiple disruptive neighbors, had a neighbor assaulted, multiple break-ins into the garage and management did nothing about it. They always placed the blame on the residents instead of doing something about it. They provide no security, hand out door codes to everyone one, and don't do anything to help. The staff turnover is every couple of months, and they can't seem to keep a property manager longer than a few months. DO NOT RENT HERE. It's very awful.
Thank you for being awesome the shuttle driver Wube. You are always on time and you take extra time just so nobody will miss out on the shuttle. You are are always smiley and have a welcoming attitude. You never been late and everyone has a confidence on you. Please keep up the good work.
I am soooooo glad I did not move here! I am learning this area is famous for creatures! Although WE pay big bucks we get treated like we are dirt POOR! Please save yourselves! Move far out! No where “local” is worth he hassle of the shoebox we live in!
I drove here all the way from Indiana to visit the apartment. The guy showed up 30 minutes late and the lady at the front desk was rude. For the amount they charge here for rent each month, I wouldn't waste your time.
I lived here for 2 years. In the beginning it was great! After the first year things started to change. The trash room always had a terrible smell, thankfully it didn't come into my apartment. The garage started to have HUGE RATS and a horrendous smell. Another positive for me was that I NEVER had roaches or anything like that inside my apartment; which is VERY important to me. In my opinion this place is overpriced for what you get, but it's not absolutely terrible if you can't increase your budget.
DO NOT MOVE HERE! I repeat do not live here unless you are willing to pay way more than what it's worth. Like many of you, before I moved here I read all the reviews and thought to myself "Well just because it happened to them, doesn't mean it will happen to me". Man was I wrong. I'll admit the first year was fine, I didn't have any issues but the second year.smh.
#1 This past year I have dealt with the neighbors above me, letting their dog piss on their porch so now my porch always smells like piss and I have piss stains on my sliding door. I have let the leasing office know multiple times but all they have said was "We'll talk to them" and I have tried talking to the neighbors as well but they seem to never want to open the door once their dog has finished using the bathroom lol
#2 Roaches and mice are a huge problem. I'll post pictures showing all the furniture that they have ruined, literally overnight smh. There are only certain days that the exterminator can come so hopefully your boss is cool with you taking the time off to be present for them. My husband and I are very clean people so to have this issue is very frustrating.
#3 Lately there has been a lot of breaks in, especially if you park in the garage so be mindful of that. Also there is a complex next door with some questionable people so if you have a dog, make sure you are not walking them at night by yourself.
The only good thing, I like about the complex is.yeah
Since I can't reply to the point responding. I just want to let you know that me and my husband DID notify you more than once

I am a current Resident of the Point at Alexandria and I absolutely love it. Lathrina originally toured and help me to find my new home, Paul has been so helpful with getting to know the in's and out's of the Point and made sure he was able to accommodate any need that I had. The Leasing Manager Lillian is the absolute best; she is understanding and responsive. This entire team is very understanding and customer service is A1! I definitely recommend these Apartments for anyone moving into the Alexandria/ DMV area.
Warning!!! Do not sign a lease here. The apartment conditions are not worth the money. They have rats in the parking garage and around the neighborhood. My car have been broken into many times. There is always a maintenance problem due to the poor conditions. The rent is not worth it. The model home looks nice but everything from the washer & dryer, air conditioning unit, and things breaking down all the time you will regret it. The gym is dated and smallthe treadmill and the elliptical is old and there is only 2 vs 1,000+ tenants. Management is not working on improving the propertyjust broken promises. There are many hidden fees related to the cost you will not find out until you get your first month rent. I feel like I live in the projects of Harlem that now one cares about. Save your money and please do not rent here!!! The only positive experience I had was a few of the maintenance men are very nice. Paul, Lillian and the other young lady in the rental office has always helped me with my issues without attitude. I cannot wait to move out.
Horrible experience. So I made an appointment for Saturday at 1:00 pm , but I was not able to come until Sunday around 2:00 pm. I entered the rental office and was greeted by a gentleman who told me a bit about the apartment complex and the rentals they have available and those becoming available soon. He then asked for my driver's license and handed me a key to give myself a tour! This was the first red flag. Who just gives strangers access to apartment buildings where other residents live? Also as a leasing agent you should accompany potential residents on tours, and not just give them verbal directions an d a key! So after several wrong turns, I walked myself to the apartment building and entered the main entrance. It smelled awful! Think of milk left in the hot sun for hours, and that was the scent that greeted me when I opened the door to the apartment building. I then input the security key given to me by the leasing agent and opened the door to the main lobby, and was hit with another scent! This smelled more like animal excrement, but was equally horrid. I made my way to the dark and smelly hallway to the apartment only to find that some of the light switches did not work, it was hot (I guess they forgot to turn on the AC?), and there were baby centipedes on the walls. I was 100 percent done!
When I returned to the apartment complex, the male leasing agent asked if I was ready to sign a lease?! I told him there was no way I would be renting from them anytime soon. Disregarding the horrid conditions of the apartments for the amount of money I would be paying, there customer service for potential residents was lacking. (I informed him of this and everything else I had experienced.)
The second leasing agent, a young black lady, then proceeded to tell me with attitude that they do not show apartments on the weekends. So I told her that they should relay that information to people, and that as a whole simply giving someone a key and sending them on their way is impersonal and frankly shows a lack of disdain for their patronage. Maybe they will heed my words, and make some much needed changes at this complex. All in all I would not recommend living her, or even visiting here!
Maintenance is great! Office staff is hit or miss. Most times they're awesome but I have gotten a few attitudes. Apartments are old with constant water leaks and rat problems. Price is decent and location is great.
I lived here for almost 2 years, since November 2014. The first year was uneventful. Experienced a busted water pipe that winter but maintenance was very quick to respond. They cleaned the water, shampooed the carpets, and repaired the pipe within a day.
The second year has been disastrous. First, I saw a mouse in my 1st floor apt. Maintenance responded the same day by treating my apt and the mouse was seen dead a few days later. However, I began to see RATS in the parking garage, where the dumpsters are also kept. The garage is right under the first floor. So I began staying in another building at my mother's home since she's never there. Her apt is on the 4th floor. Wellllll, this building has rats along the pathway to the main front door. SEVERAL rats. They run across the path as you're walking up to the apartment. I park outside but some residents also complained about rats in the garages.
In the last 6 months I've had 3 water leaks in my apartment- my A/C, my neighbors A/C, and the kitchen sink. All of the leaks damaged things in my apartment. Maintenance quickly responded but it gets annoying. I have renters insurance but the sentimental values of some of my old military items and gifts from deceased relatives are invaluable, irreplaceable, and irreparable.
