Rich Colorado history. Rooms are small, which is typical of hotels the vintage of the Oxford, but plush. Comfortable bed, solid but older furnishings give character and class to the establishment. The rooms still have the original door handle hardware, which is awesome to add to the ambiance and nostalgia of the hotel, thus you get an actual key with a tassle instead of a credit card style key. Highly recommend due to the history of the place.

My stay at the Oxford Hotel was a comfortable stay. It was nothing like I expected. This is an older hotel directly across the street from Union Station which puts it in a very desireable location. Close to shops, restaurants, and transit. The free 16th Street Mall bus stops right around the corner. Keep in mind this is an older hotel and as such it does not have many of the amenities many travellers desire. There is no fridge in the rooms, no alarm clocks, no safes, no vending machines and ice machines. The beds are comfy, there's cable TV, and the room key is an actual key, no key cards here. Overall, a good stay and a different experience from the typical hotels. Worth a stay.

The Oxford Hotel was a stellar place to visit. It made a wonderful home base for exploring downtown Denver. The hotel itself is a historical landmark and is full of beautiful pieces of furniture and a great sense of history. The staff are friendly and helpful. Be sure not to miss the bourbon hour!

The Oxford Hotel is located a block away from Union Station. The hotel service was very good, and the bar next to the lobby has a solid Old Fashioned. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom (at least in my room) has separate shower and bath tub and neither of them end up spilling water on the floor. This is a running problem I find with hotel bathrooms, and it's weird to highlight that in a review, but it's still really nice. When we were there the lobby was being renovated, and I look forward to seeing what they do with it.

My girlfriend and I, both hospitality interior designers, didn't stay at the Oxford, but we did tour the public areas.
First off, the bellhop here is second to none! Taller gentlemen, he was very informative and new a lot of the history of this hotel!
The public spaces were unique, quaint, and cozyalthough there was something to be desired, maybe a more juxtaposition between the Art Deco architecture and modern flare would make this hotel more attractive / interesting.
The restrooms downstairs were unique with old urinals that look like they've been there since the birth of the building.
And if you're only swinging by, I recommend a prohibition cocktail at the Cruise Room! If you're a Rock'n Roll junkie, Jack White from the White Stripes recorded his song "Would you fight for my love" here. Definitely worth checking out!

Great stay! Hotel was incredibly clean, hotel staff were friendly and got us checked in early, always appreciated. Can't say anything bad at all. Will return to the spa, it was incredible!

I travel frequently for work. The Oxford might be my favorite hotel. A friendly staff, great location, and amazing gym.

    You can not go wrong.

The rooms were spacious, beds comfortable, and shower was great.

The fitness center is a true gym. Bench, squat rack, and free weights from 5 to 100.

Wonderful place - helpful, subtle service. Free bourbon in the evening. Not loud at night. Convenient to local attractions (central LoDo). Large bed and bathroom. Easy to get to from the airport. 10/10 will stay again if in area.

One of the most elegant and historic hotels in Denver, but updated to modern sensibilities. Located right in the center of things in Lower Downtown, a block from Union Station. Urban Farmer, an excellent steakhouse serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, is in the hotel building. The historic Cruise Room bar is not to be missed. The Oxford Club Spa & Salon is in the annex next to the hotel.

A lovely historic gem. Friendly staff who look after you and make your stay hassle free and relaxing. Gracious room with both modern and vintage pieces. Very comfortable bed and pillows with soft linens. Fun bourbon tasting each evening in the lobby and many great places to eat all around. Blocks from stadium and next to Union Station.

Nice historic hotel that has undergone a subtle but contemporary update. Room was bright, spacious and quiet. Art-deco 'Cruise' bar off the lobby was great too. Only negative was the sight of the poor cadged bird at reception.

If you love history and service with a smile, you've found a place to rest your head in Denver. Gotta check out the Cruise Room and feel like your on an ocean liner. Take over the jukebox and enjoy great classic songs from the 40's, 50's and enjoyable big band music. The front desk will often honor the lowest rate you can find on Google so at least ask.

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the cheapest rates around

We really enjoyed our stay at the Oxford. If you want modern amenities, look elsewhere. The beds are very comfortable. My only real complaint was the low shower head in our bathroom. It was so low I had to lean over forward to rinse. I'm 6'6" so no real loss of a star for that. There is a great old world feel about the place. Apparently there is a haunted room on the 3rd floor.
