Beautiful hotel with nice rooms but location location location. Right on the beach with chairs & umbrellas. Fine dining to beach food: its all here.
Location, location, location! With service and cleanliness matching the legendary location. Beachside, and walking distance (along the beach) to 5th Ave, the hotel is a perfect holiday destination for enjoying sunny Florida. Thank you to the team at The Naples Beach Hotel (and Golf Club) - appreciate it.
My husband and I spent a wkend here Dec 1st and 2nd. We were there for a wedding being held at the resort.
I thought I would share pros and cons.
Pros:
Location! The beach and sand was breathtaking. We spent the day, walking the beach, relaxing, my husband played beach volleyball. We ordered a salad with grilled chicken. It was delicious. It was $24, but delicious and was a nice treat while at the beach.
Cons:
Rude staff. The staff treated us as if we were a bother. The bartenders at the pool were by far the worst! Each one grumpy, rude, slow almost disinterested in helping.
Everything cost extra..beach chair $12.50, umbrella, $18.50, wifi $9.50 a day.
Housekeeping: First day we were at the beach from 9-4. Not once did they come during that time. On day two (the day we were checking out) they came twice. Knocking on our door at 8:30am then again around 10. Check out was noon. It was incredibly rude.
If we were not there for a wedding my husband and I would have checked out.
We will never return. Would never recommend.
First time staying at this property and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Great beach area and an equally awesome pool. Nice bar by the pool and HB's has a great view of the beach and gulf when it's time for lunch or light dinner and a few more refreshments. Staff was pleasant and the front desk followed up if daily service was refused for a day. We stayed in the main building with an awesome gulf view. Only downside was that the room, especially the bathroom, needed some updating. The bed and pillows were rather mushy and uncomfortable. Other than that, my family had a great time and we look forward to another stay at The Naples Beach Hotel.
I am new to Naples. I truly loved the ambiance of the beach bar. The GROUPER sandwich was on point but the burger was not soon good because it tasted like old grease. Overall, I had a great time
I've stayed at this hotel two times now. My first time here was GREAT!, second time the service wasn't so great but A HOT CUBAN GUY WORKS THERE and he made the whole stay a lot better. He's so hot. I would rate this hotel a 2-3/5 but now it's a 5. If you want to see a hot guy or your kids don't wanna come just convince them by showing them this and saying "a hot guy works there; he will make everything better"
We just got home from a stay in the Watkins Tower. The room was spacious, well-appointed and had a nice view of the Gulf. The staff was friendly and helpful. After 2 days they knew who we were and what we generally wanted. The grounds were pristine considering there were storms each afternoon. The food was very good. We liked the old school feel of the resort. The beach was just steps away from the resort. All in all, we had a great time and will be back .
I give this place one star because the location and views are amazing. The service is horrendous. My family and I went to the restaurant overlooking the water to have some light food and drinks. We decided to order three small plates to share and order drinks. Upon telling the waitress that we would just be ordering the three plates she responds "oh" and starts gathering the menus quickly before my sister even had time to look for her drink. Clearly she was upset we were not ordering large plates and she was so rude we thought she was going to tell us we had to leave. My Dad had to call after her to tell her he wanted a glass of wine. It was made clear our business was not wanted because we weren't spending enough. Only when we ordered desert did her attitude change. It was disgusting behavior that was not appreciated and we will not be returning again.
Great place to have a cocktail on the beach. Local hangout on Sunday evening for Sunset when they have live music. Save about $5 per drink by getting the drink special of the day. Food tastes fine but is priced at a premium for the view. Great place to meet friends.
Amazing place on the beach, rooms bar and restaurants are very nice. Having to pay for wifi is less than perfect but this place is like a resort to stay at for a couple days.
I will start by saying that the staff is great and very friendly. However, in regards to our room, it was quite terrible. We were given a room on the second floor of the "Penthouse" buildingwhich was anything but! Upon exiting the elevator onto the second floor, we were greeted with the loud sound of a Rigid Fan drying the half painted walls or drying whatever the source of the awful "wet" smell that circulated the hall. The hall was humid and had an Amazon Rainforest vibe to it. Fortunately our room was a little better, but the smell from the halls did penetrate the walls. The sound of the loud Rigid Fan could be heard from our room; however, was easily concealed by turning on the TV.
After spending the first night on that awful floor, we requested to move to another building. The staff was accommodating and allowed us to switch approximately 6-8 hours after requesting the switch.
As a small suggestion, I would recommend the hotel to shut down, disclose, and/or offer a discount for any room that's on a floor that is being worked on which would cause any unusual smells or sounds.
Beautiful place right on the beach. Rooms do not reflect the price though. Wifi is not free either. Great location but with the price of everything you'd think they would put a little more into the rooms.
We saw the sunset from The Sunset Room and it was gorgeous, and the food amazing. We went intending on having dinner at the beach bar, but it was far too busy and crowded for a nice sit down meal. This was once a nice little out of the way place by the water, but it seems those days are gone. Expect a crowd, or go looking for a crowd, but it's worth the wait.
