Buy a year pass go as often as you want. It's not the biggest or the best, but they deliver quality exhibits. Kids love the splash pads and the animals are pretty active. We go several times a year for fun, exercise, and family photos.
Visited as an out-of-towner with several hours to kill - I was able to see pretty much everything in about three to four hours and had an excellent time! Definitely visit the exotic bird feeding exhibit and bring a few dollars to buy the nectar - very cool experience.
Great zoo, great people. Every employee we met today was pleasant and friendly :) made the experience better. One tip, just bring your own water. (3 bucks a pop up there)
Wonderful zoo, nice biodiversity and habitats. Staff leave something to be desired. Also, no lids for fountain drinks. I imagine this is to minimize littering, but still unfortunate. Would like better variety of food options. One corner of the zoo has a bbq-like smokehouse, another has a gourmet burger stop, and the restaurant with most choices is right next to the entrance. Not ideal for folks with picky children. Still, best zoo I've been to.
First time at the zoo! Great experience. The bird show was wonderful! Nice layout with short walks between exhibits and the prices are fair.
