I visited the Louisville vs Albany game and it was great. The stadium is beautiful with riverfront veiews. The gift shop has lots of cool things but the prices are sky high. The mega screen makes it easy to watch the game no matter where you are sitting. This is truly one of the best arenas in the country.
I've been here several times for basketball games and concerts and have had a great experience every time that I've attended anything. From all of the other stadiums in the US that have been at this is one of the best ones I have ever seen. All we need is a good NBA team to play here. Keep up the good work Louisville!
The KFC yum center is your typical arena, but I love it. Every game or concert I've attended here, has been fun. The seats are comfortable. I haven't had a bad seat. The food has been good. Of course you have overpriced drinks, but that's anywhere. It's always clean as well
Concert at KFC was great. We have seen guns n roses and red hot chili peppers this year there. Security was screening which helped protect but kept the lines moving quickly. Seats are comfortable and area was air conditioned. Plenty of food options and drink options. Parking next door was reasonable and attached via a closed walkway. KFC was easily accessible from interstate 64
I've been here for numerous concerts at this point- I've sat anywhere from the top to club seats to the floor It's always a good time! It's a little steep when sitting at the very top, so if you are scared of heights I do not recommend buying the cheap seats! If you are coming to a concert and want the convenience of being able to walk from your hotel- book a stay at the Galt House and they have a pedway between the hotel and the Yum Center so you don't even have to go outside to enter your event!
We enjoyed a Bruno Mars at our most recent trip to the Yum! There were plenty of ushers on site to help us find our seats. Seating was a bit cramped, but we were so excited for the show that we stood most of the night anyway. There are a lot of food options available (The taco bell had quick service and generous portions, though the prices were crazy! ). They had cute event themed cocktails at decent prices as well
Probably the biggest arena in Louisville! Great place for concerts and conferences. They will definitely need to keep up with maintenance here.
Absolutely amazing! The arena was clean, well staffed, had a great layout, and the best part was the efficiency. They did an amazing job of getting the crowd in and out of the building with ease. I usually dread the end of a concert because of battling the crowd and the traffic leaving but it could not have been any smoother!
This is a really nice arena, I've seen several shows here. Outside of the stadium itself, they offer a ton of food and drink vendors. Parking is pretty standard for the city - be prepared to pay around $15 for their garage. My only real complaint is the access to the arena itself - there is one, single checkpoint used for most concerts, which causes very long lines and wait times. A venue this size needs to organize their entry process a little better.
Generally a good view from most seating, but the seats are packed in too tightly with not enough leg room. Also, there needs to be something done about the limited entrance for patrons. We bought tickets because we don't want to stand in line!
This was a great arena. I was here for a graduation and it was very well organized. There was plenty of seating, great views from the top, and I like the Louisville skyline on the scoreboard/jumbotron.
The only thing was it took us an hour to get out of the parking lot since it was so crowded. I wouldn't fault the center for that, but just be prepared.
To all of my music-loving connoisseurs that I know and love:
Well I'm not exactly one to write reviews on Yelp or Google but this is one case in which I passionately have to write one. So although the music and performance of Roger Waters was one of the best I've ever seen the one thing I hated was the venue KFC Yum Center is hands down my least favorite arena I've ever been to for a concert for various reasons:
You weren't allowed to stand up was the only arena I've ever been to where you weren't allowed to stand up (unless you were on the floor) and the security were overly-enforcing along with a rude and uptight staff who were unhelpful when you asked them questions.. the venue didn't have an outside patio like everywhere else I've been so you weren't allowed to leave and reenter under any circumstance, the place looks big on the outside but is overly crowded on the inside and there was barely any breathing room seats were also overly crammed and tiny.. all in all the venue is very UPTIGHT (in terms of the staff) and wreaks of all-business in which the dollar is the only priority of the location (that's most arenas though)
Although not a fan of arenas, KFC Yum Center was so bad I even like Nationwide Arena more than it (which I don't like too much).. so folks, don't ever go to a concert at KFC Yum Center I won't ever be back.
This place rocks! Great place for different entertainment events. Had awesome seats to WWE and will be going back in November to see my first Lady Gaga concert.
Wonderful newer center for live music acts that are bigger and sneezed at other locations to play. Used to be you had to drive to the Kentucky fair grounds to see some of the bigger bands but now we have the time center. I don't like the sign though. Wish it wasn't there. Its just so brandy. But other than that the layout is awesome.
