This has been my favorite breakfast place ever since I was a little kid and first started coming to Vail. Even after the remodeling and change in ownership, the food is as delicious as ever! Go early so you can get a seat (the place is really small).
Update 12/17: They've expanded and there is now more seating! It's not quite so little any more but is still just as wonderful and delicious as ever. I absolutely love it.
Friendly staff, chef made sure we enjoyed our meals. Great price point. Sausage gravy biscuits were amazing! We’ll be back!
Got two breakfast burritos to-go, and they were large and delicious! Friendly, fast service for takeout. I will absolutely be going to The Little Diner when I visit Vail next time!
The staff here is super friendly and fun! The food is also amazing! I got a club sandwich and it was amazing! We also had orders of biscuits and gravy and an avocado burger which were apparently delicious! This is definitely a place worth going to.
Everyone at our table ordered something different for breakfast and all of the food was delicious! The cheese grits are my favorite! Omelets were delicious too! Excellent service and very nice employees.

The Little Diner is just that - little, so be prepared to wait and be flexible with the seating. The ***HOME MADE*** corn beef hash is delicious. If you are like me you want to try both the Eggs Benedict AND the corn beef hash - they will allow that change for a small fee. Pretty much everything I saw served looked decadent and delicious so I don't think you can go wrong on picking something. Spread the risk and order different things if you must but don't plan on sharing the corn beef hash - it's that good.
A great breakfast place in Vail. The place is small, so if you do not time it right you will wait. The food is good, the chef knows his stuff. The pancakes are especially notable. Seems popular with locals and out of towners (like us) so that adds to the wait. I can only imagine what it is like during ski season as it gets crammed in the summer months.
Great breakfast in Lionshead. Very busy, but they are efficient and move quickly. The German pancake was incredible.
The food was decent and much more affordable than most spots in the area. Kind of a cool vibe, with the only seating being the bar surrounding the kitchen, but it gets real tight. Be prepared to cozy up to strangers.
The chefs that run this place are total professionals. It was impressive how the made the most of the tiny space, and all of the food was top notch! I don't remember the name of my dish, but it was a large pile of hash browns and green chile pork with two fried eggs on top. My wife had a short stack of pancakes with some delicious roasted apple and bacon topping. All in all a great experience!
The Little Diner is a very cute breakfast establishment. Bar chairs are set around the kitchen, where you can watch them prepare the food. Everything we tried was delicious, and the Dutch baby was enormous! The staff was friendly, and prices were reasonable at $10-15 per person.
