DO NOT BOOK HERE - THERE ARE MANY ALTERNATIVES IN THE AREA. I booked a tour with two other people, all on our own ATV. Then, two others showed up and became part of our group. To make a long story short, the driver who showed up (they were on a 2 person ATV) simply couldn't get it - she could not operate the ATV. As a result, we went almost nowhere. We drove maybe 1/10 of a mile - constantly stop and go. Mostly stop. The website says "scenic mountain ATV tours" and that a tourer will "enjoy breathtaking vistas of the Continental Divide and Mount Evans" - NO and NO. We didn't get any views, nothing. I get it, it happens, and we cannot control the driving ability of others. To some extent, we simply got unlucky. We addressed this with the owner, Sue, and got absolutely nowhere. She was purposefully rude. She told us that we were gone for an hour, and that is all that is contracted for. While that is likely true, it doesn't mean there can't be something offered to us to make up for the waste of time and money. She said we should have rented another ATV even though we didn't have another driver. I live in Denver. I have other friends who will visit and ATVs seem like they have the potential for fun, but when I go, it will be ANYWHERE BUT MILE HI RAFTING & ATV TOURS and that loss of money is squarely on the shoulders of the owner, Sue.

My boyfriend and I did the hour long ATV tour with Doug as our guide and we had a fantastic time! He was extremely knowledgeable about the area's history and gave us very direct and easy to understand instructions on how to safely drive the ATVs as well as how to navigate the terrain. The hour went by way too fast and we will most definitely be back!

Had a great time ATV'ing through the mountain side. Our guide Doug was super thorough and made sure our safety was top priority along with "Fun"! There were no problems while following their instructions. I would go again in a heartbeat! Wonderful people, and a wonderful trip!

Had a great time on our 1 hour ATV tour. Doug is an extremely friendly, knowledgeable tour guide and more importantly just a really cool guy! I definitely recommend visiting Mile Hi for a fun time! Be sure to ask for Doug! (though I'm sure all of their guides are friendly and knowledgeable)

WARNING: AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. Here's what they won't tell you when you sign on: They will not let you cancel or get a credit for a future date under any circumstances. It was pouring buckets and there was a lightning storm but our guide wanted to take us up the mountain anyway. He said we would be OK since the ATVs were plastic and the wheels were rubber (seriously?!?!). BUT, he did concede that lightning hitting a tree MIGHT be a problem and we would have to duck for cover.
The owner is a real piece of work. You will learn for the first time when you arrive that you are responsible for any damage to the ATVs. Even if you buy the $20.00 insurance policy that probably goes straight into the owner's pocket, there is a $2000.00 deductible. So when it's pouring rain and you're "ducking for cover" after lighting hits a nearby tree, you're going to be out $2000.00 when a limb from said tree hits your ATV. And here's the cherry on the cake, don't think your bank will credit the charges on your card. This horrible place makes you sign waivers up the wazoo and they will use them against you with your bank. This place thinks nothing of risking your life to line their pockets. My husband and I did the ATV tour in the morning and whitewater in the afternoon with Shawn guiding us the entire day.
The ATV tour is more technical than I expected. We went up the mountain and over huge boulders and rocks. There were a few turns where you have to drive on the edge of the trail. Don't look down! We really enjoyed the trip and the scenery is amazing.
The rafting tour was exceptional! You are given wet suits, fleece, etc to stay warm. There is a training session before you start so you know what all the calls mean.
We were grinning from ear to ear all day! The entire staff at Mile Hi is laid back and easy going. Shawn did a great job guiding us all day. We would definitely go back!response / report this review -

My husband and I wanted to do something exciting on our last day on Colorado, so we contacted Mile-Hi to book an ATV adventure. We were not disappointed. Our guide, Shawn was wonderful and very adventurous. He felt our small group was ready and could handle the advanced run, so off we went - 3,000 feet straight up a mountain. There were many times when driving over boulders and taking hairpin turns inches from the edge that I was sure I was going to die. But we survived, the incredible views were well worth it. The equipment was top notch (we rode brand new Polaris machines), Shawn was terrific and the day could not have been more fun. *BTW, I'm 63 and my husband is 66

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Rafting is a must do when in the area and there is no better place to raft with than Mile Hi! Our guide Brian was fantastic and made sure we have a thrilling yet safe trip down clear creek. Our driver Dan was also a delight with lots of knowledge about the area. Dan also was the photographer for our trip and got us some great pictures for our memory book.

Went here for ATV and white water rafting with a bachelor party. ATV was okay but white water rafting was fantastic. Our guides Shawn and Danimal were top notch. Would definitely raft with Mile hi again.

Absolutely awesome. Me and a buddy did the ATV/Rafting trip. Steve was our ATV guide, top notch, Excellent guide. Matt was our rafting guide in the afternoon - again Excellent guide, very cool, played some tunes was nice touch to an awesome experience. Staff at Mile Hi was fantastic. Thank you for the life long memories. We'll be back for sure. Highly recommended. Thanks Steve, Thanks Matt you guys rocked!!!

Thank you Sean for making our ATV trip so fun! We stopped at some pretty awesome lookouts and he even found us pieces of gold. Would definitely do it again, but for a longer tour!

This was definitely an unforgettable experience. The tour guides Doug and Danimal were very patient with us as we made our way up the mountain sides. They were also very knowledgeable of the old mining towns and structures we passed by which was super interesting to see and learn. They let us stop to take pictures with the amazing views in the back grounds. It was an adrenaline rush getting up those mountains, but the views were worth it!
