  Started with friends renting apt from owner I am Friends with. Front desk attendant was nice and offered to help me with my bag. Great location great place

  Charged $470 a night before taxes etc. When we arrived at Westwind we entered condo #405 and it was 91 degrees inside with NO AIR CONDITIONING. We opened all the windows and the emergency maintenance person brought us some fans after we called to complain. Several hours later that night it had cooled to a whopping 83 degrees when we were trying to go to bed. The condo was in a run down condition. One of the 2 chairs on the balcony was so wobbly it couldn't be used. There were tears in the carpet on the balcony with threads sticking up and food spilled on the floor and table. We did not get any room service while we were there. Finally, I only saw the blankets in the room with two twin beds. I avoided looking at the other beds in case it was more than I could stand, but I told the desk clerk when we left that I wouldn't have use those blankets for a dog. They looked very unsanitary and felt crusty. They mislead us by putting a sheet on top of the disgusting blankets. We would have moved but we didn't have time. We had reservations for activities. I was robbed. I am sure there are nicer places in summer Vail for that money. My advise is to keep looking.

  Overall a positive experience. Compared to the other places we considered, the it was a really decent price. The 3 bedroom condo we rented for 4 days was well appointed with budget furnishings.
  The one major complaint we had was we weren't sent check in instructions in advance. We were arriving late, and call 2 hours before arriving. We were told that they couldn't provide instructions over the phone until we were at the building. We reached them and got instructions when we arrived, but I don't know what we would have done if our phone had run out of batteries or something.

  If you get the right unit, it's really great. Close to the lifts. Clean, big hot tubs (two of them) and a heated pool. Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent value for the money.
