I was running late coming from the front range and forgot my powder blades when expecting 2 inches, lucky these guys had an awesome pair with flames on them talk about fast! Thanks Bart from VI you saved the day!!
visited in a few different ski seasons. great customer service each visit.
Pretty good prices, and a convenient location with other shops around. Doesn't stink as much as some rental places. :)
Super cheap rentals for decent gear and super close to keystone; about 15min. The staff there aren't the most hospitable, but they'll set you up proper! You probably won't find a better deal anywhere else!
Great selection of skis and snowboards at a great price for rentals. Staff is accommodating and friendly. Very knowledgeable as well. Boot selection is not great, so I would recommend to bring your own boots.
The equipment was good and prices were right - but get their early. The wait was unbearably long - I commend the staff for allowing the group in front of me to touch every ski but it was a bit out of hand - they did not manage the line well. One set of our skis fell apart at the tip half way through the week and the shop was great in taking it back and giving us a new set.
It had great rental prices, they suggested a regular sport package for a beginner skier. That is $18 per day, they do have incremental discounts the longer you rent. The helmet is an extra 5 dollars per day. The staff was friendly. They did get busy, so it may be worth it to reserve online, but you need to do that more than a day ahead, because it doesn't show in their system unless it is more than 24 hours. So, when you get there you have to fill out all the information again. They also have a free return policy if you equipment does not work how you would like it to, my skis had issues snapping my boot in automatically, so I had to manually do it. They are also just a 13-15 minute drive to/from copper Mountain. They also advertised having next day rentals starting at 3pm. You can also return your equipment the next day by 9 am and not get charged extra. They are also open early and late. 7:30 am - 9:00pm. It was better than a lot of the people described below. However, they were busy, so we had to determine the best boot for our foot ourselves. However, we read online what to look for and we had a fun day with no issues.
They don't even deserve a 1-star rating. We stopped in 10 minutes before closing and we were the only people in the store and the guy who works there said, "We're closing but we'll never kick a customer out." We thought it strange to lead with that and then he went on to kick us out of the store in a couple minutes saying "I can't work overtime. If my boss calls in and I answer that phone, I'll get in trouble." So don't answer the phone. I'm pretty sure the owner would rather you sell us 2 pairs of skis than kick us out. The amazing was when he told me that "Those skis over there are $99." I looked at the price tag which was $350 and so I said, "Those skis? They say "$350." Then the guy responds, "You need to put down the crack pipe and listen to what I'm saying." It wasn't in a friendly tone and he was just being rude.
The next day, we stopped back in, hoping he wouldn't be there and a new guy was working there. I said hello, he said "How's it going?" I responded "Good, and you?" He actually said, "It was going well until now." Whoever hires these guys should be fired.
