Good option for rentals. Way cheaper than the mtns. Staff needs a bit of cheer.

We've rented equipment here twice and have been really happy both times. The employees are knowledgeable and friendly. Pick up and returns are quick and easy. The rates are reasonable and the store is conveniently located near a lot of condo rentals.

Our first and only time skiing in Colorado and unfortunately we took advice to rent our equipment off-site from Keystone to save some money. We stopped into Columbine Rental at a time of the morning that wasn't busy and we were the only customers. The person that was sizing me up for ski boots seemed to be annoyed and rushed. There were a couple polite, helpful people that helped my husband and kids, however. We took our equipment to Keystone, found a parking spot, got all 5 family members geared up, trekked over to the gondola holding skiis for 3 small children, plus our own, waited in line for 20 minutes then finally got to the top of the mountain before I even had a chance to ski, I realized that my binding was broken on one of my skis. We called Columbine Rental for help but they were very rude and said our only option was to go back down the mountain and drive back to their location in Dillon to have it fixed. We asked if they would reimburse our expense if we rented from a rental shop at the Keystone resort to save us time and to be much more convenient, they said "that's not how the world works." So here we'd spent over $600 on ski equipment and lift tickets and it looked like a good part of our day was going to be ruined. However, without request, after noticing that we were having a problem with a ski, the Keystone patrol inquired and offered us a free ski rental for the day, no questions asked. We were so thankful that someone had good customer service, but it wasn't from Columbine Rental. After all was said and done, the next day we got a refund for that one pair of skiis, but that is doing the bare minimum and if only they could have been polite and understanding given that they put a huge damper on our day, this negative review would not have happened. There are several other options for reasonably priced ski rentals, but this one isn't safe and really needs to improve on their custoner service and professionalism.

Brought the kids out from Minnesota for spring break and had to rent skis for a week-long tour of Summit Counties' finest. Had to rent for my 13 year old. After a few long days he complained of a bad edge. Brought them in before they hit the slopes the next day and Kyle redid the edges and gave them a quick wax.

Fantastic service. Super easy pickup and return. Big props to Kyle. Can't thank you enough for helping out my son!

    Customers for life.
