This place is amazing. It’s nice to have a hotel reflect on its pictures from customers. LOVE TO STAY HERE AGAIN. But it would be nice to let know that the restaurant will be not serving due to a private party. Overall this place is amazing .

I loved how accommodating they are to pets. They gave me a goodie bag with treats and a toy. The amenities are new and modern. Overall a great experience.

Had a fantastic stay at The Donovan. We were greeted upon arrival by Kris with a pleasant "We were expecting you" and it got better from there. All of the staff were fantastic, pleasant and professional but also "real" and truly friendly. The rooms are comfortable and clean. I appreciated the fact that a room key was necessary in the elevator to access the lodging floors of the Hotel. Had a great and unique meal at Zentan one night and took the staff recommendation for a wonderful breakfast at Commissary Restaurant near by. Key component of the successful stay was the location. We walked to restaurants, monuments and museums. Even took a night stroll to the White House to unwind after our long day of flights and our late arrival. DC is a walkers dream and the Donovan is perfectly located to take advantage of it all. Thanks For a Pleasant Stay.

Great hotel with.amazing service. Got.several texts beginning in AM saying.room was ready for check in. Fab upgrade to huge suite! Spotlessly clean, tons of space. Too bad only 1 night. Hotel sent up champagne and cupcakes for my birthday, arranged for an Uber to Union station . Staff was excellent. Only complaint was that I had to leave!

Room was nice, clean and comfortable, but getting it was a bit hard. Our reservation clearly stated a king size bed but we were assigned a queen size one. When we realized this we complained and were assigned the right room but when they initially gave us the queen sized they still charged us for the king so that's a dubious practice.

Rooms are comfortable, service at restaurant was very poor. Housekeeping does a good job tidying up, but often forgets to replace towels or other items, you have to call the front desk multiple times to get each of these items replaced. The location is convenient if you are willing to walk half a mile or so to main attractions and convention center.

Nice hotel, rooms good size. Located Thomas Circle 14th Street, which was within walking distance to the plenty of shops. The hotel offered wine and sushi every evening a 5pm (freely) which was most enjoyable after a long day of walking about.

Friendly staff, nice rooms, funky but not in a weird way. Good location, but that's relative. Happy hour is a nice touch. Good cocktails, good, scene on roof but unfortunately terrible service. Like the coffee in the lobby but I think I'd still prefer it in my room.

Not thrilled. Look out for hidden "resort fee" on top of room charge. Also got charged for items I did not consume from the "honor bar," although they did eventually refund them. Breakfast was ridiculously expensive with poor service. Also had a long wait at check in with two people at front desk busy tapping at their computers, apparently too busy to bother with a guest. For the price you can do better elsewhere.

10am at check in with Maggie: Maggie is the best! She offered me a bigger room at no extra charge that was ready now, or to wait a few hours. I really wanted the room I reserved so I opted for the wait, then she found me a room asap! Got to check in early and get cleaned before hitting the conference. Thank you for the exceptional customer service!!

7am upon calling the hotel: Already getting a below AVG review in my book. Upon making the reservation I asked for early check in, but after speaking to guest services rep Chris on the day of my arrival he said it's not possible.

I hope the rest of the trip goes smoothly

A very good choice to stay in D.C.! Friendliest staff and wonderful hotel in a very convenient location. 5pm wine hour in the lobby and the 4 to 7pm happy hour at the rooftop lounge are awesome! Highly recommend!

Great location, comfortable beds, generous happy hour, really fun rooftop pool and bar, impeccable and genuinely nice service. The showers are a bit odd, but in the context of the rest of the experience they're a fun quirky part if the stay. Would recommend!

Stayed at the Kimpton for a weekend getaway. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Only downside may be that the rooms were a bit small, but everything was clean and well cared for.

Location is central and close to some great restaurants and bars, so walking if definitely possible.

If driving to the hotel keep in mind parking is valet and cost $50 a night.

Great place to stay!! We spent our weekend here for Valentine's Day! They had champagne on ice waiting for ya in the hotel room as we arrived. Spectacular service. We requested a hot tub as well as a beautiful room! They met all requests and then some! Staff was really friendly and rooms were clean. Bed was very comfortable too! We will definitely be back. Thanks again
