Grabbing drinks here is awesome. I always go before movies at landmark, and even when it's busy the wait is never long. Drinks are pretty reasonably priced. Get the kids chicken tender meal it's pretty cheap and a decent quick meal!

The only positive I can give on this hotel, is that it was extremely inexpensive for 2 adults and 3 children. It was the dirtiest accommodations I have every strayed in. The mattresses were similar to what I slept on in Iraq. It smells like stale cigarettes and spilled beer. The water was brown when we turned it on. The bathroom is rusty and grimy. The elevator is old, and if you take the wrong one, you get a "great" view of the kitchen for the attached restaurant, fully quipped with its peeling tiles and rust. What a disgusting place. I understand its history, but a little maintenance and cleanliness would really go a long way.

This hotel is over 100 years old and the decor hasn't been changed in that time. Very tired. The advantage is the location. Close to Old Town on off bus, restaurants and you can walk to the White House. The maid did a good job of cleaning the room considering what she had to work with, shower good, bed was OK, big fridge in room, price of room good as other places were expensive. You get what you pay for. Your out all day as there is so much to see in Washington.

Location is Very good. Walking distance to white house, Lincoln memorial, Smithsonian institute etc. The hotel is old and needs updating but if all you want to do is lay your head down at night and head out daily it is perfect. Food is available downstairs

Hotel is a great value. Refrigerator, coffee were a plus. Shower was great (important). Location is perfect. Only negative is thin walls - no soundproofing next to noisy men. Wall between 1042 & 1044 needs insulation

Very pleasant! Good location (#500), good food in both Harnets and Harry's restaurants, friendly staff. Thank you - we will be back for the next year's Red Cross gathering.

It is what it what you should expect, a low price hotel near the national mall. It is an old building and does smell a little. It is also the only hotel within walking distance of the conference center that I could book for per diem rate with a room for five. Most of the people staying seem to be from other countries. The power plugs are loose some phone chargers would not stay in the socket. They have been helpful the AC was not as cold as I would like so they provided me a fan and I was happy.

Rustic DC city feel for affordable prices. All of the tourist attractions are within walking distance. The lobby gift shop restaurant and bar are all super convenient. Only issue I had was that room service didn't when they said they would and so we had a few nights with the same bed sheets, which is no big deal but when they did come they didn't even knock, just came right in and my gf was naked had to run to the door to stop them saying NOT NOW! So that might be something they need to work on but besides that we had an AMAZING experience.

Hotel is in a perfect location if you're interested in seeing the sights of D.C. a few restaurants inhabit the ground floor although they are only barely acceptable. Service has been great but there is one glaring issue- the hotel is literally 30 years overdue for some sort of updating. Outdated everything. Building, walls, furniture, windows, lobby.

I am used to middle class economy hotels. This hotel was a disgrace. It smelled bad, there was blood on the walls and the towels, profaine graffiti on the walls in front of a young school group, and the staff was rude and unfriendly. The breakfast was not worth the money. Over priced and undercooked. Extremely loud, even for the city and many rooms are directly above a bar that is open until all hours of the morning. The room was unclean and the shower was filled with rust and filth. It also looked like a real life Bates Motel. I could not wait to get out of there.

It's very old-looking, and everything is very small (which I actually like. It's cozy!). Honestly, very good for the price

Has a very homely and cozy feel. The staff is very friendly. The hotel is very old and reflects in the way the lobby, room and bathroom is. But overall very clean and quiet. Location is fantastic and is close to all the tourist spots, good restaurants and stores. Conventient in every way and would recommend this place to family and friends.

Centrally locate to many tourist hot spots! Can't ask for a better location. The "travelers hotel" describes it best. If you are looking for a cheap place to stay the night while you are out exploring all day. If you are looking for a plush room, you won't find it here. Friendly staff, close walk to the metro and many great places to eat nearby. Recommended to the right travelers.
