Enjoyed our visit, great atmosphere, easy check in, valet parking a benefit, enjoyed our stay with the exception of having to ask for freah towels as we stayed 2 nights, no price list or information in room, orange juice in fridge was expired so we requested to have it refreshed, just needed a little attention to detail on room upkeep. Not sure on restaurants no info I room, and it seemed when we got back to pack up on Sunday they might have had brunch set up but once again didn't see or wasn't informed of this and didn't see it on website when we booked. You could get room service, however in asking Information about places the valet parking guys were more informative than the front desk. We would stay again, but would hope for a little more attention to detail on the smaller aspects. Close to many places within walking distance.

I’ve never stayed the night but i have grabbed food and drinks there. Both were very tasty. The first time I visited the iron horse hotel I was attending an organized dinner. The food was delicious along with our personal bar. The other times I usually just grab lunch and a drink if I’m around the area. I like their mimosas and chicken sandwiches. Sometimes they have live soft music entering the venue. Don’t be intimidated the staff is friendly and will guide you to the bar, dinner table, or room.

The best hotel around the Milwaukee area. Great service from all staff, wonderful food, and even better cocktails. The food and drinks are a little expensive for my taste along with the parking costs. Hotel is located in a good spot too. Easy to jump on the highway regardless of direction. All in all it is a fantastic hotel. I always stay here when I need a hotel around Mileaukee. The staff alone makes it worth stay at.

Fantastic hotel! My colleagues and I stayed here on a business trip and were pleasantly surprised by everything this hotel has to offer.

Gorgeous rooms and decor with an industrial chic vibe and total comfort. The room has a fantastic mini bar selection with snacks and drinks, including alcohol and non-alcohol items to hit everyone’s choice.

By far the most comfortable bed I’ve slept on in a hotel, and every member of the staff was incredibly pleasant and helpful.

We will be staying here every time we visit the area.

I love the Iron Horse Hotel! We take a side trip to Milwaukee whenever we go to Madison for business, just to stay overnight at the hotel. The style and atmosphere of the hotel is unique and beautiful. The customer service is second to none. We appreciate that they are pet friendly. Come to the Iron Horse to relax, get top notch room service, hang out at the cozy barit's perfect.

Terrific ambiance, cozy and comfortable decor and furniture, great bar and attentive service overall. We were greeted with a complimentary adult beverage at check-in and given two passes for more complimentary beverages since we were there to celebrate our anniversary. The owner maintained as many architectural features of the original structure as could be done safely and most of it is ~ to us ~ spectacular. The walk-in shower with rainfall showerhead in our room was a welcomed sight compared to the kind of basic hotel bathroom we have come to expect. The TV reception was shoddy and the train is pretty loud when it goes by, but neither of those things will deter us from returning with friends during the fair-weather months when we can enjoy their outdoor seating and walking through the Historic Third Ward.

Had Sunday brunch in the bar area. Cozy, cabin atmosphere with a minor sports bar feel. There was a decent amount of variety for the brunch buffet, which was all very good and thoughtfully planned. Would definitely come back/recommend to friends.

We planned a weekend getaway at the iron horse just to get away and could not have been more pleased with our experience! The food at Smyth was phenomenal and the atmosphere was very casual and classy at once. We had an issue with our in-room cooler and our maintenance tech- Brent- was unbelievably helpful and friendly. Would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking for a Milwaukee adventure and a delightful weekend.

Sat at the outside bar. Live music was excellent!!! Beer was ridiculously warm. When paying $5 for a 12oz can of miller lite, it should be ice cold!!!! There is absolutely no excuse for warm beer on a hot day!! I didn't stay at hotel or try the food. I'll try this place again soon. Although I won't be drinking their crappy warm beer.

The hotel is absolutely stunning with its rugged industrial yet classic look. My husband and I had dinner at Smyth which is the restaurant located inside the hotel. Food is the best I've ever had in the whole city of Milwaukee. Hubby had the prime rib, and I had the scallops. Best food I've ever had. Would definitely go again!

Stayed for one night, a Saturday. We did a two queen room since a king room wasn't available. Ordered food in for a late dinner (had a late lunch after getting in), which a bad grilled cheese but great cheese curds. Fries were too spicy for my taste. Sour cream pancakes for breakfast were great and she liked the egg sandwich. Service was great both times and on checkout. Room views are okay. Located within walking distance of bars and some food (try The Noble, it was fantastic), but easy driving to Milwaukee attractions. We'll probably stay here again in a couple months for a wedding.

My wife and I had gotten married in town and wanted to do something special for the evening rather than go home like any other. This hotel made it a special night. The staff was aware of the occasion and went out of there way to make sure it remained special. Add on to this the amazing room, view, amenities and service, it is a phenomenal establishment and will be regularly recommended to others. Special day or no.

Stopped in for lunch, and was blown away by the atmosphere (dark and cozy without being overbearing) and more importantly, the food. Had lunch at Smyth and it was excellent. Meal was incredibly flavorful and sophisticated, while the presentation was comfortable, yet subtle. I was recommended by a colleague, and would definitely pass on that recommendation.

Went for dinner and drinks with friends. Dinner was awesome. I had the pork and my wife has the steak. Both were cooked to perfection. Drinks from the bar were tasty. We went early in the evening so we had the place to ourselves. It was quiet enough to have a conversation without having to shout, which is rare at most places these days. I would gladly go back.

The hotel was beautiful and the brunch was delicious and worth the price! The downside was we called for early check in to get ready for a wedding (the reason we were staying) and we were given the okay prior to our arrival. When we checked in, however, our room was not ready and the only offer was to downgrade our room and not be compensated the difference or to get ready in the basement bathroom and when we were finished they'd hold our bags. Not wanting to miss out on our upgraded room we chose the latter. We also thought we chose a package that included parking only to find out later that we still had to pay the additional $30 parking for the night.
