I had a great experience. The food was pretty good! Although, the cheese grits seemed like cheese with a little grits. The packages were good as well as the coffee.
I had a good veggie omlet stuffed with veggies. My husband said the pancakes were excellent. They do not have real Maple syrup which I see as limiting for us Maple syrup snobs. Coffee was good. Not too expensive. We got there about 9am and got a table immediately but when we left at 10 they were waiting for tables. Service was fast and good.
The best place to go for breakfast. Their red velvet pancakes are to die for. The portions are huge and you have the option to order the pancakes as a side if you don't think you can finish it all. The wait can be a bit long but the food makes it all worth it.
Went here for breakfast with my family. This place was a short walk from our hotel at Westin Book Cadillac. Our waitress was very nice and efficient. Our coffee was never empty. The portions were very generous. Overall very good experience. Will come again.
My hubby & I enjoy the Hudson; however, wish they took reservations. My spouse loves the club sandwich which he's had at both visits. First visit I had an omelette, today eggs benedict. Omlette much better. Very good wait staff - friendly & pleasant.
Basically the best breakfast you will have. There's a huge range of creative options on the menu and all are executed perfectly. It's always packed, but either get there early or wait. It's worth it.
Not sure what all the hype is about, and not sure it's worth the 50 minute wait.
Prices are high. Portions are decent size.
Service was very good.
$8 for a kids meal is a little high. $3 for a soft drink is double of what others in the area charge.
Omlet was watery and runny.
Crepes we're good. Pancakes just had toppings and not in the batter.
Guess I need to try one of the specialty dishes like cat fish and waffles.
Will try again to see if experience changes.

The omelette and home fries were about as good as it gets, and our server was a pleasant, high-energy guy. Be prepared to wait for a while on a weekend morning. Our group of 8 waited for a little under an hour on Saturday morning - though, in all fairness, the time may have been significantly less with a smaller group.
Food and atmosphere was great. Service was good. We'll worth the wait which was extremely long, but there is a lot to do in the general area while you wait. We explored part of the city and got coffee at a Cafe close by. They text you when your table is ready.
Great, quick service. I went for brunch and there was a short wait, but we were able to sit outside while waiting, and the food was worth the wait. Last time i went was in the winter and we were able to wait inside next to the fireplace which was awesome. The very berry stuffed French toast was so good. The Orange is fresh squeezed and really good too! My friend had chicken and waffles and he loved them.
Yes! Come here and treat yourself. The staff is awesome and the food is even better. You won't leave disappointed
Excellent dishes. Would give 4.5 stars if I could, because they have delicious meals but I've ordered the same dish and got it drastically different sizes on different occasions. It must depend on your chef that day.
Food: 5 Service: 7 Coffee: 2
I didn't believe those who said the coffee was crap but it is. For $3, you get unlimited black colored water. Sub par coffee really reflects poorly on the restaurant, especially a breakfast restaurant. The fruit waffle was good and authentically pleasing but for $10.50, I'd expect at least two waffles. All other plates seem to have a bigger portion size so maybe it was only this plate. Blueberry had the consistency of paper. Service wise, I had to wait maybe more than 5 mins for my coffee to be refilled? I guess this place is not big on coffee. O guess Detroit has pretty low standards when it comes to food and service.
This restaurant is formerly known as The Breakfast House. It is located between near Campus Martius. The food is amazing and serving sizes are huge! I love the red velvet pancakes...yum! The line is always long because it is popular on the weekends. No call ahead seating or reservations can be made, but it it is definitely worth the wait! Good customer service for such a busy place!
