Have lived here for 6 months and it is awesome! The apartment is beautiful and the pool and all is lovely to show off to my friends and family. The office staff is great and there's alot of families that live here. In the summer it can get a bit hectic because alot of the families have parties in the pool area but hey; what else is it for if not to use it! There's 5 pools here, a hot tub, 2 tennis courts, a gym, a dog park and a playground. I'm in a one bedroom with a fireplace and a balcony on the second floor for all under $1000. I'm from the north (NYC/NJ area) and that is absolutely UNHEARD of. Maintenance is quick. My apartment complex has events and there is valet trash. Parking is great. There's been no pests and the office even has free coffee and cookies!

Much has changed since my last review 7 months ago, and that has everything to do with the staff. It appears that we have gotten some new management in the leasing office. Sonia, who was the previous manager was absolutely great, but it appears that she is no longer there. When she first came on board, all of the residents were made aware of her presence by way of email and notice on the door. Now that she is gone, there has been no notification of who is now working in the office. But whoever they are, you can tell that they do not care about the residents. Of course a recent issue with the staff, Jacqueline (the assistant manager, to be exact) has prompted me to write an updated review. I have never been late on my rent, and an issue arose where unbeknownst to me, money was stolen from my account which caused my rent to be late. I was notified 10 days later by Jacqueline that the payment was returned due to NSF and I was expected to pay $200 worth of late fees. I immediately asked if there was something she could do, because she was contacting me nearly 2 weeks later and because I always paid on time could she work with me and she would not. I became frustrated and upset, which she could tell in my voice - but she ended up hanging up in my face. The office closed early that day due to a holiday so I could not call back and speak with someone else. I've spoken with the manager, and he appeared to simply not care about the issue, and I've called the regional manager and he has not returned my phone call. While at the office on the 4th of this month (rent is due by the 3rd), a woman came to pay her rent saying, "my check is dated for the 2nd, can I still pay it?" They took her check dated for the 2nd on the 4th, with no additional fees charged to her account! I have a witness and this cannot be disputed. Now, on to the apartment.
My once adored newly upgraded apartment that I am paying extra for is not in the best condition, as it seems that everything breaks, doors come off the hinges, the garbage disposal breaks regularly, the dishwasher falls out of its place, the paint easily chips, the stove is uneven, the washing machine breaks, the toilets get stopped up and flood, and bugs are seen coming from the sink. I live on the 3rd floor and keep my apartment clean, but somehow they still creep in. I have never lived with bugs and this will be my final year here. There is dog poop everywhere and the gates break regularly, leaving the gated community open for anyone to enter. I just signed another lease because I have been here for several years and my experience with the staff was always great and felt that I could live with the problems. Additionally, I hate moving and maintenance is quick to respond to any inquiry (only if you submit your request using a website that tends to change without notification to the residents). I believe that good customer service makes the difference and that is what my experience has been for previous years up until now. If you want to live in a place where good customer service exists, and relationships are established with the staff, then this is not the place to reside as each of them have a nonchalant attitude that screams, "I don't care."

Portion of my previous review: From the moment I moved in, Skyland in the front office has remembered my name, which to me says a lot about the quality of people who work there! I've been living there going on 3 years and honestly, I love it. The first two years, I lived on the first floor. The noise level was moderate, as I lived across from the park, but nothing too bad where I couldn't take it. I never seen a bug, even during bug season. The property is well kept and the office staff is very friendly

This complex is average. Nothing noteworthy to comment on. The communication between the resident and the management staff is awful. They do nothing to help out and push things off for as long as they can. I'd say that they take the easy way out of situations. My car was recently hit by a hit-and-run driver in the parking lot and nothing has been done. or will be done, to solve the issue. The unit itself is fine, due to the recent remodeling, but there are minor cosmetic flaws. There are paint drippings all over the floor and the floor is actually scuffed up a little. The pools are nice when ever they're open, lol. The neighborhood is quiet. There seems to be issues with the gates all the time, and they are left open at night more than they are closed. Anyway.. I don't think this complex is worth the rent I pay. But there is always worse.

    UPDATE:
I posted above about a year ago. The management is one going downhill. They don't answer. They don't help you. They charge, charge, and charge more. They are inconvenient!!! I'll walk in to the office and they're all just sitting there, the phones ringing and no one even answers. WHY would you just let it ring? Ridiculous. I absolutely cannot wait until my lease is up. I do not recommend this complex. There are way nicer ones around at a comparable price.

Lived here for three months and had a huge cockroach problem! Unit 1911 has roaches everywhere! I had to throw out most of my appliances because I found roaches that had crawled up inside them. There were roaches in the microwave display and in my bathroom scale display. Absolutely disgusting. I told maintenance and they sent out a person to spray but it never helped. Also, Norma was really helpful, but of the 7+ apartments I've rented over the years, this place was the most difficult. Every single step was difficult about signing the lease and getting the keys and even the deposit after. There are fees for everything when you move in. There are also a lot of abandoned cars in the lot that I eventually had to call in to be towed. My unit had a bedroom that had a window directly out to the hallway and next to the neighbors door, so every time they came in and out in the middle of the night it woke me up. Bad design, I was woken up every single night I lived there by my neighbors opening and closing their door. If it wasn't for the roaches I'd say it's worth living there, but I can't recommend due to that problem. You'll end up throwing out all of your stuff when you move out because of them too.

I relocated here for work and I have not been disappointed yet! The staff, Norma and Alex have been wonderful to us! All my concerns have been addressed immediately. The place has been fixed up, so it's not brand new, but it is a very well kept property. I've read the reviews from the past and at first reluctant to look, but I'm glad we did! The reviews are old and they deserve better praise then what is on here! I've always been treated with respect and made a priority. I'm a complicated and needy person and I must say, all my expectations have been met. Pet friendly! Although I paid more for my dogs than I did for me to move in, they are my babies. I look forward to the next year!

Lea Sarmiento, Alejandra Hernandez, and Norma Ojeda are as professional as they come. These ladies make The Hudson home!! Lea is always helpful and pays attention to what a customer needs and goes above and beyond to assist at all times. Alejandra is always smiling and making sure noone is not being helped and is very warm and loving with all customers. Alejandra is very respectful and a pleasure to speak with daily. Norma is very helpful and professional and makes sure that all available units are marketed accordingly. Norma takes special care of customers and represents the complex with excellence. These ladies are always smiling and offer great customer service and really show that they love the property. They all work hard to make sure that us as tenants are comfortable. Service requests are answered promptly and these ladies are all understanding of a tenants possible frustrations at times and do whatever it takes to make us happy!!! The Hudson is The Hudson because of these three ladies and their wonderful customer service and adherence to the mission statement of The Hudson

Visited this property a few weeks ago and worked with a great leasing agent, Lorenzo. He was personable yet professional. Extenuating circumstances prevented me from leasing here, but it would have been by next choice. Great property, lots of new upgrades, and friendly people like Lorenzo.

I've been living here since mid October 2016 and have enjoyed my stay here very much. Moving in was a bit of a tight squeeze with the timeline I was given, but the staff here really went over and beyond to help me out when it came to moving in and have kept up the same quality of professionalism each time I work with them. I never have to worry about any of my packages being stolen from or "missed deliveries" since the office staff will sign off for you and give you a text or email stating they've received it and it's ready for pickup. Not to mention, their maintenance crew is very helpful and manages their time very well while being friendly and professional. I highly recommend this apartment for anyone moving to the north Arlington area!

Excellent apartments. Good location, the remodel looks great with hard floors throughout (on 1st floors), and the people that live here are friendly. Much better than my last place in Dallas at comparable prices.

I lived here for three years and they are the third company in that time to manage this property. While a lot of progress needs to be made (bare in mind I had a 2012 unit, this desperately needs to be updated compared to the other units in the complex) this team has done a great deal to change the feeling and quality of the property.

The only reason I left this property is that we moved to New York, otherwise we would still be here for a few more years!

I toured the property last week and Alejandra went the extra mile for me! She was super professional, patient, and understanding. It was 30 degrees out that day, and out of the 7 other properties I went to visit her personable demeanor was the one I appreciated the most. The property was clean, quiet, and the gates worked! I haven't applied for the apartment yet, but for those who are looking for your next place to call home and are unable to visit due to your location, add this apartment complex your list! I'm sure glad I did!

So far - probably one of the best place I have lived in terms of general apartment living. Gym is good enough for basic workout, management+office staff are friendly and timely, rent payment is online and easy. I appreciate the management for having a security person on board, it gives a sense of safety. Other than minute issues here and there, I totally recommend it, Gave it 4 stars since I have only been living here for 6 months now. Hope the management keeps up, and raise their standard even higher. :-)

Moved in in May, the complex is well maintained. The gates work and remain closed when they're supposed to unlike most apartments where the gate is left wide open. Maintenance replies quickly to any work tickets that have been put in. There are no roaches although when I moved in I did have a few little white spiders but after they sprayed I have yet to see one. Management is professional and kind and the workout facility is great I use it daily and love that it's open 24 hours.
