Friendly and educated staff. Whether you are new to yoga or a life long practitioner the Hot Yoga Spot is a place for EVERYONE.
I have been going to the Hot Spot for 6 months- 1, 2, sometimes 3 times a day! The staff are supportive and fun to be around. Great facility and community to be with. Might I add that I lost a good 15 pounds on my mat? Love this place!!!!!!!!
I'm a bit of a studio snob, so in order for me to frequent any kind of studio, it's gotta meet certain requirements that I look for: cleanliness, welcoming atmosphere, challenging classes, knowledgeable instructors, etc. The Hot Yoga Spot meets these requirements and THANK the yoga goddess because it's right down the road from where I live in Guilderland so I can just roll out of bed to catch the 6:00AM Barre Bootcamp class (or 9:00AM if on a Saturday)--my favorite for the winter months. The instructors love to hurt my body SO GOOD, I keep coming back for more. Kudos to Jessica and her team! ♥
They have discounts for many great professions. However they dont have a discount for those in the medical field which I wish would be reconsidered.
Bethany's Bikram session on Thursdays is AMAZING!! Even if you are new to Bikram - she makes its extremely easy to follow and at the same time challenges you to your fullest potential. Out of all the instructors --- she is definitely one of the most talented!
I have basic Yoga experience from the YMCA Guilderland. I fell in love with it so I wanted more, which led me to The Hot Yoga Spot.
I absolutely love the way it makes me feel. I'm totally used to the heat now, but it did take a few visits.
Also, I absolutely love Aaron and Meg. Aaron is the reason I came back a second time and keep coming back. He was the instructor for my first class. I love Aaron's seriousness, dedication and high level of respect that you can tell he has for his art. I only took one session from Meg but loved her playful spirit and her class sequence was great.
I feel like yoga teachers are like your hairdresser. You really need that bond to keep coming back, so go to as many classes as you can when new. People have different styles, and you'll know what or who you are attracted to and learn from.
I'm up four hot yoga sessions a week and still take my one at the Y. I can't say enough how fantastic it is. It can be a life-changer for sure.
My girlfriend comes to this place all the time and loves it. I had never done hot yoga before but she made me try a class with her last week and to my surprise, it was awesome. The class was very challenging and I was actually pretty sore the next day in places where I didn't realize I could get sore! The studio was nice and the instructor was very accepting of the fact that I did not have a lot of yoga experience. Very cool experience.
