I hope to never go back. Absolutely awful for over $300/night.
- Pool was unsanitary (overheard pool guy lecturing front desk about keeping up on the pool)
- “motel style” doors opening to outside perimeter/parking lot of establishment. Felt unsafe walking to room at night, very little lighting - I carried pepper spray.
- Rooms smelled
- Stained carpet/bedding/furniture
- Dirty/moldy(?) soap dispensers in shower/bathroom
- Dusty layers on molding/outlets/etc.
- Hairs everywhere. in the bathroom, on the shower walls, on the bedroom walls, ick.
Just taking a brief glance over the bad reviews makes me horrified. Nope. I'm going there soon c:
Been there
FAB
If you're looking for a no frills, inexpensive hotel, this place is for you.
The "continental " breakfast is bagels, pastries in a bag and cold cereal.
Even though we had three men in a room, they could not supply a role away bed.
The steam room was out of order the entire week we were there.
When the maid took our towels without replacing them, we requested new towels twice and finally had to go to the office and get them ourselves.
If this appeals to you, then by all means stay here.
Stayed in this hotel many times over the years when it was the Shilo Inn. I was really disappointed with this property when we checked in during mid July '14. Adult pool lounges had badly worn out cushions, trash all over the pool area, bacteria in the hot tub. Exercise room equipment broken down. Cigarette butts on the porch deck in our room. TV not working properly at all. Restroom in the guest lobby area not working "poop" in stool would not flush.
Weeds all over commons areas and grass needed cutting. Staff was friendly and air conditioning was good. I would have checked out early but my grand daughter wanted to stay in the hotel, I was there for three nights. Never again - I'll stay down town.
Strange experience here; I tried 4 times to contact the manager,1 personal appearance and 3 phone calls, and have yet to hear from anyone. Just a trifling matter of blocking out 45 rooms for a regional car club meet,of which I informed them upon each occasion. Guess they don't need the money.
This place is not worth staying for free in. The management are a bunch of loser jerks who threatened to mace me and tried to arrest me, after denying me service simply because I wanted to request an appointment to discuss the rate for a long-term stay with the manager, who was not in at the time. Now, they lost at least $400 of business, and I will NEVER, NEVER spend a single DIME with that motel again.
