Loved loved loved the staff! Everyone was always friendly & wanted to help. Also Eddie told us about the most amazing places to eat thank you so much Eddie. Rooms were very clean & it was a normal size room. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

Front desk was exceptionally nice and helpful, room was great, bed was comfy. There was a fridge and microwave, which was nice. But the microwave it was kinda not working so Eddie comes and fixes it great john man. Breakfast was very good, with lots of choices. Only staying overnight to make our plane connection, but I would stay here if we needed to be in the area again.

The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The rooms have a great set up and a very cozy feeling to them. The bathroom is small, but is functional. My door did not work so i called the front desk and they send Eddie he was really funny and nice helped us with the door thanks again. While we stayed, we received a complementary breakfast buffet that had a variety of different foods and drinks that satisfied everyone's needs. They also have an outdoor pool. The hotel is located close to the town for restaurants, bars, and shops, but is far enough away so that you don't get interrupted by the outside noise. The hotel also has a shuttle that will take you to multiple locations so that you don't have to worry about transportation.

This was my very first visit to San Diego for a Travel Convention and I chose to stay at this Holiday Inn; instead of the Host Hotel. I was Not disappointed. I truly appreciated the Complimentary Breakfast, and Snacks, and most of all the Shuttle Van! The guys name was Eddie he was a great guy very nice and he even helped me unload my bags in the van and out the van when we got to the hotel, great work keep it up! well I may Not have used all of their services, but it was nice to know they were there when/or if I needed them. The decor was pleasant as well as the Guest Services Personnel. I will definitely recommend and stay here again. Thanks Holiday Inn!

Excellent value and location. Walkable to transit station, harbour and Old Town. Set on the side of a hill and has lovely views if you look for them. Jose on the front desk was brilliant and helpful and the breakfast team do a superb job. House cleaning team were efficient and thorough. Gym did the trick too.

We only stayed here one night the day we landed in San Diego but it was a great stay. The room were very clean and so was the entire property. The breakfast 6 to 10am was also very good. They had a lot of hot selections and a wide variety. The staff was pleasant. Ivan, kelyne Parking is $10. We woke up early and headed to Zoo so we did not get to use the pool or shuttle to Old Town but it is literally across couple blocks so very close to Old Town area. Overall great night stay.

I was a little nervous about staying here after reading some of the reviews. The hotel is currently being renovated but it did not impact in any way on my stay. The room I stayed in was clean, fully equipped and perfectly comfortable. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. Ivan was very friendly.

The free breakfast was good! The staff was nice. The rooms smelled moldy. They did their best to cover with a pine scent. It was underlying the pine. I am not sure if it is because it is near the ocean and don't know if it is fixable. Other than the room smelling it was nice?

Nice place
Staff on reception was very friendly
Room was on free way side but no noticeable noice.
Room was clean
Pick and drop service from train station or airport was available.
Breakfast was nice .
Over all nice experience.

Usually stay at other Holiday inn Express around San Diego for work and they are good with the exception of tight full parking lots. This particular HIE had a plumbing issue they needed to attend to and had to shut down the water. They mentioned it wasn't an emergency yet but didn't give any warning before shutting down all the water to the hotel. So long story short I went to my appointment less than fresh. I got to my room at 4am and woke up at 6:30am to get ready for my appointment and found out water would not be restored until 9:30am. I could of slept in my truck with the same results and save some cash. No refund or discount just paid full price.

Stayed for 4 nights on business. Rooms seemed clean and staff was nice. Most Holiday Inn Express locations are like the rest and this one wasn't much different. Slightly noisy next to the highway, but not bad. No sights are really in walking distance, so be prepared to drive. Car parking area was a big plus and seemed quite secure.

We went to San Diego California for my sons boot camp graduation from the marines. We stayed here for 3 days and enjoyed it. The rooms are clean. The staff is courteous and helpful. The breakfast had something for everyone and the hot tub was great. The beds clean and comfortable but The pillows were awesome. The shuttle was convenient and the drivers pleasant. Not far from the train to do anything from shopping to eating to a bar. Lots to see and do and this place made the trip pleasant.

This hotel was wonderful. We were upgraded from a queen to a king at no charge, parking is less than any other hotel in the area, plus they provide a free on demand shuttle to and from Old Town. Our room was spotless, the bed was extremely comfortable, the grounds are well cared for and inviting. We spent a decent amount of time hanging out on the astro-turfed courtyard enjoying the beautiful weather and comfy patio furniture. We didn't hear any noise from other rooms, a little bit of freeway noise because we had the window open, but nothing unbearable. We slept through the continental breakfast, but check out was quick and seamless. Will definitely stay again if we're in the area and recommend to others!

Check in was smooth. Rooms are nice. Breakfast is exceptional for a hotel chain. Arrive early and they have a checked baggage area while you explore town and wait for your room. Reason not 5 stars. Some Front desk can seem a bit intimidating. Not sure if what was impacting her but only thing other than that Eddie, and Elia they were great stuff really helpful thank you guys. Housekeeping on point. Breakfast staff on point.

Good hotel so close to the airport but also great for going downtown. The hotel has an excellent shuttle service and can drop you off at the Trolley Station as well as various other places. Never have to wait too long to be dropped off or picked up again. Friendly efficient staff on the front desk and a mine of information regarding sight
seeing. Rooms are good, comfortable beds and ample bathrooms. Good breakfast, vast choice of hot or cold dishes.response / report this review
