Customer service is top notch at this super 8. But again it would have to be since everything else is disgustingly gross. Our room was filthy and after a long day of travel and ready for a good night's rest little did we know our adventure was about to begin. We turned down our bed and there was enough dirt and hair it looked as if a grown man had shaved his legs on the sheetsand pulling back the multiple layers of sheets was not an improvement. Each one dirtier than the one before. When the final layer was removed and the mattress exposed there yet was another surprise. The only thing missing on the mattress was the police chalk line of a body.
All of this was done with the night manager present. He went to great embarrassing links to fix the situation. He seemed appalled at the condition of the room. And after 4 times to laundry area he returned with a full size mattress cover for the king size bed and what was almost a clean hair free set of sheets Fortunately we travel with our own blankets and pillows or we would of been buying some.
And yes there is a coffee maker in the room however they do not provide coffee..not that I would want to use the machine with the room being so dirty. Anyhow as I told my children we were on an adventure. They asked if next time the adventure could be dine more outside than inside.
Yes I will spend the extra money next time and stay 5 star.

Front desk people are very nice. Free Delicious breakfast in the morning. Clean and Spacious rooms. Big bathroom.

ROACHES EVERYWHERE. I had booked my room about a month in advanced and I did not get a price over the phone and Was not told check in was until 3 pm and if we wanted it earlier we had to pay $25 to get it earlier!?! Was there for a 1 night stay for a party that was going on next door. When we came back around 1am there's were like 20 roaches in our room and took a video to show them. In the bathroom and even on the bed. And when we went to go tell the staff they handed us a broom!? DO NOT BOOK HERE. And the service is just ridiculous. I don't know how Jasmine is even manager. Her service is beyond poor. She's extremely rude. Do yourself a favor and don't book here.

Me and my boyfriend checked into this hotel, and the employee that was working there was super helpful, very nice and he helped us get a room that was really nice! He bumped us up to a suite because there were not any regular rooms available at the time, and he charged us for one regular room, which was awesome! His name was Abdul and he made our experience better! :D The room was awesome and we had a very relaxing time!

Absolutely the worst stay. To begin with it's in a shady part of San Diego. The parking lot is dimly lit and I had a bad feeling that I might be broken into. The tub was dirty and the shower head had low flow because it wouldn't come on all the way. Water was still pouring from the tub spigot. Later that morning we found a roach. The walls and ceilings are paper thin and full of scratches and marks. The flooring is this cheap vinyl flooring and voices echo through out the hallways.
All night we could here every step people upstairs were making. Then someone was knocking on the the wrong door. I tried calling the front desk several times but kept getting a busy signal. The place it's self is absolute dump. The next morning I spoke to the front desk manager. She said that I would have had to call them from their outside number and not call 0 like it says to do on the phone unit itself. Well that was never stated to me. I said my wife wasn't about to let me go outside to confront the people making the noise. How was I supposed to know that their internal phone system wasn't working? She apologized for what happened but really nothing more. I would stay clear of this place!!!response / report this review -

Really a great hotel.
Check in was smooth and friendly and was asked what floor I wanted my room on. Additionally when the parking lot was full we were helped to find a place to park. The rooms were pretty modern and renovated which was nice. The beds were supper clean and the rooms seemed to be fully cleaned everyday. Very impressed with this place.response / report this review -

Nice property. The pool was clean. Breakfast was decent. The thing I liked most about the room was the amount of electrical outlets. Usually we are fighting to see who gets to plug in their phone. This room had plenty. Very nice, helpful staff. Will definitely stay here again.

The rooms are nice and cleaned well every day. The beds are a little stiff but comfortable. Bathrooms are nice and big. Halls and rooms echo and ring well. You can hear a bug walking the hallway from the far side of your room. Free Wifi isn't fast but works okay. Pool is nice. Parking is off the road small spaces meant for compact cars. Full size truck was a squeeze. The breakfast is okay very basic with coffee, orange juice, apple juice, cherrios, corn flakes, super 8 cinnamon rolls, toast and a single waffle maker. Staff is very friendly and helpful (sometimes it is hard to understand their accent but they didn't seem offended when asked to repeat something)

My sister made reservations but lost her drivers license and they wouldn't change the name to mine for the reservation. They wouldn't take her temporary identification either so they left us stranded, we drove all the way from Tucson. We asked them to cancel and set up new reservations and honor the price quoted under my name but they wouldn't do that either. In the end, they told us they were cancelling our reservations and that there were no rooms available for us at all. We travel often and this is by far the worst service we've ever had. The unwillingness to work with us was disappointing and how unsympathetic they were was just unbelievable. All other hotels seem to be booked so who knows where our families will stay tonight.

The hotel staff was wonderful. The place is recently remodeled and looks nice but the lack of carpeting and furniture made the entire place really loud. The lighting in the room was horrible can lighting, beaming in your face. Some bedside lamps would be awesome.

Terrible place to stay. Pretty bad customer service with people not knowing how to do their jobs. Walls, door and floors so thin you can hear the person next door to you and above you breathing. It definitely wasn't built to keep noise out. It was absolutely terrible sleeping. It's also next to a car repair/smog place and right on the highway so be prepared to hear cars all day and night. Only thing good to say about this place is that it's clean and maids come daily to clean. Will not stay here again.

Nice place, smaller in size than most. Location is right off the freeway. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast is wonderful. Rooms are very nice and beds are comfy. Bathrooms are nice and big, perhaps a bit too big. The toilet paper holder is too far from the toilet! That was the only problem I had about this place. I would definitely stay again.
