Rooms were clean and newly remodeled. Hotel was quiet at night, and room had lake views. Front desk and valet service was helpful and courteous. My only complaints are that our room had extremely dry air and there was limited TV channels.

I didn't really go there but to meet some people. That being said, I have been to the Edgewater before. High class. Nice boathouse restaurant. Great views. Pricey, but what you expect from a higher end place.

Great place to stay when in Madison. Wonderful views of the Capital and the lake, depending on which side you stay on. Rooms are very quite and the beds is extremely comfortable. If your son or daughter is in one of the Greek houses on Langdon, this is the perfect location to stay. It is also walking distance from the Capitol with all the great bars and restaurants there. The bar in the Edgewater is also very cool, good place to hang out. I'm not a fan of the dining area for breakfast, a little too upscale for me.

I did not pay for services, but our event coordinator said significant errors occurred that had to be discussed with management. Fortunately staff was extra attentive after issues were addressed. This is a historical icon in Madison and was beautifully decorated for the holiday season. Some of the rooms have picturesque lake views. Overall, staff is friendly, but could be more knowledgeable and prompt for an establishment of this caliber.

Beautiful setting and views. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms, at least in the Wisconsin section are large, modern and well furnished. Food and bar are very good also. The hotel received a 4 star rating from AAA in January of 2016, one of nine in the state and the only hotel in Madison and Dane County with a 4 star rating.

Very classy and unique hotel. Great views of the lake and terrific location for walking to local restaurants and bars in Madison. I have stayed twice for an organizational retreat and would highly recommend the facility for business events.

I live bear the Edgewater, so have never stayed overnight, but frequently use other services. I have a trended several conferences, all of which have been great. Fees for conferences are very reasonable compared to other comparable locations. I go to the spa frequently tly, and it is my go to spot downtown. Always very happy with the services. The Edgewater courtyard and coke is also one of my favorite public spots downtown to sit and take in the lake view.

Rooms were easy nice. Location was great. Hotel itself was very nice. Had dinner at the tavern. The food was very delicious. The room was spacious and lovely, but there was a stain on the comforter. The staff was courteous and professional but I would not call them friendly.

Parked at their boat dock (free, awesome!) and ended up going to the Statehouse for a burger since the Boathouse is closed on Mondays The staff was friendly and the food was good. Took a little long to get our food but they had an issue in the kitchen which they informed us about. Appreciate the honesty. It's expensive, but the views of the lake are pretty killer and the food was good.

My mother and her sister were able to book a relatively inexpensive room (about 150) after deciding it was too crowded to stay at my brother's place, since there were no events going on at the time. The bedrooms and bathrooms were luxurious, the view, right on the west lake, was beautiful, especially watching sunset from the attached restaurant, the Boathouse. They also have an outdoor bar on a pavilion facing the lake as well as other standard hotel amenities. Finally, it's an excellent location if you want to do anything downtown or at the college (the first frat house on fraternity row is the adjacent property).

Easter Sunday brunch was way overpriced given the offered selection. Omelette station - Good, but you could get just as good of omelettes at other local brunch buffet spots. Hand carved meats station - Good. Waffles & croissants - nothing special. Salad/shrimp station - Very good. Dessert station - Awful, might as well have hit up a neighborhood bake sale. "Pint size" buffet for kids they advertised literally did not even exist. Kids basically had to choose from waffles.or waffles. Candy buffet, activity tables & Easter bunny for kids was a nice added touch. $10 to sit on the Easer bunny's lap though & grab a picture. Parking was suppose to be $5we were charged $9 and the other party with us who arrived and left at the same time we did paid $6. Brunch could have been $30/person and at least included a mimosa and offered way more options vs the $52/person we paid and only soda or coffee was offered along with an underwhelming spread. Great view, nice ambiance however way overpriced for brunch.

Historic hotel newly renovated on the lakefront. Lots of amenities including restaurants and a spa (had a glorious deep tissue massage). Great room service. Short walk to lots of restaurants. Friendly, courthouse staff. Our room had a direct view of the lake with no obstructions. ("Langdon studio king" room) We've stayed twice and look forward to staying again at our next opportunity.

Just attended a wedding for a friend's at three Edgewater. Unfortunately, it was all booked by the time I decided I would be able to make it, so I can'tspeak to the hotel's accommodations. However, what I did experience of the Edgewater was amazing. The lakefront view is breathtaking. The decor is beautiful (new, but made to look old; apparently Wisconsin-themed, which, being from California, I didn't realize was a thing). The non-wedding staff were all very polite, courteous, and helpful (especially the bartenders!). I would highly recommend at least visiting the Edgewater for a drink on the lakefront, even if you're not staying there.

Always great service and drinks but the food is the star. It was crowded and we didn't have a reservation so we grabbed a booth in the bar. Great choice - fun to watch the crowd. Dinner was delicious and the service was well paced with some wonderful wine suggestions.

Love the place and will for sure be back. The hotel is just beautiful, beautiful lobby, wonderful rooms and everything was very clean. We didn't use any of the other services, however we were very pleased with the room. The view was great, we had a view of the capital and could see the water! The room and bathroom were very spacious, we especially liked the heated floor. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
