Nice hotel. The staff was very accommodating, especially the valets out front. The rooms were comfy and clean. The roof top bar was gorgeous.
The only downside was the noise at night. Because the hotel is in a busy section it can be a little noisy - nothing crazy and didn't keep me up, but if you need complete silence to sleep the weekend might be a challenge.
This hotel was a perfect location for our Savannah getaway. I think there's as much space floor to ceiling as there is wall to wall. The space is modern, clean, and simple. It was very nice having hard wood floors. Be sure to ask the concierge where to buy the parking passes from the city. We parked, walked everywhere, and made brief stops at the hotel throughout the day. Watch the ships come and go from the roof top tapas bar.
Great location to riverfront and comfy beds. Some rooms don't have views due to the old store street level but we enjoyed a street view, they said it's based upon availability. Bay street is a busy street so a little noisy in am, but overall we would book again. Rooftop bar was nice and downstairs bar has good specials all day. Easily walking to all squares and restaurants.
I stayed at the cotton sail hotel in old savannah. The atmosphere was great. The staff was helpful and upgraded some of the rooms into king beds, at no charge. The rooms are all nice with good lighting. The view is nice, especially in my room where I could see the people below us walling, along with boats going down the river. The actual room had a couch to sit at while looking out the window, a unique design that I enjoyed. Check out was easy, and all in all, I really enjoyed the stay with no problems.
My boyfriend and I loved our stay at the Cotton Sail! The hotel itself is very clean and the staff was very nice and professional. Especially the valet who greeted us at the door upon arrival so welcoming! In addition, the hotel has a perfect location on River Street with pretty much everything within walking distance! It just made our stay that much better. We will definitely be staying here again next time we're in Savannah!
Very nice hotel. I loved the historic aspects of the building. The rooftop has the best view!
Great Hotel, very nice room and perfect location to go out. The whole hotel has great interior - but it seems they forgot to design the roof top area?! Roof top has boring plastic chairs, no plants, no decoration that's sad. They could do better here.
The hotel was very clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The attached restaurant was delicious! And the rooftop bar was a great place to hang out!
Stayed here with my mom for one night. We were debating between the Hyatt next door and the Cotton Sail. So happy with our choice! Staff was so friendly, concierge arranged a pickup from the old savannah trolley tour, valet guys were prompt and friendly (valet is the only way to park but unlimited access and in/out). Room had gorgeous original hardwood floors, huge high ceilings, comfortable big beds. The old character showed in the slight slant of the floors and shower but it was authentic. Rooftop bar is quite the night scene. Also street access to river street below without having to walk the treacherous cobble stone hill. Great stay, will absolutely stay here again!
Stayed the night during a trip to Florida for a little poshness. Staff during unload (George) and check in were awesome. Room was beautiful. Location was amazing. Would love to come without kids next time.
We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. It's newly renovated, but still has an old feel to it. We loved it's beauty and our balcony overlooking Riverstreet. Great value for so much to offer. We were very satisfied with our stay!
Great hotel! Nice staff and all. Although on our first night the toilet had dry urine on it which meant it wasn't cleaned after the people before us. We called room service and it was cleaned right away. Our bed also had a lot of hair, and it definitely was not ours. Besides that, great stay.
Great views of the river if you get the river side. Overall, good service. However, didn't replace our towels or amenities on the third day, and when we talked to the front desk about it, they didn't even apologize. They just said to talk to the morning shift and they'd fix it. I actually liked a lot of things about my stay here, but I couldn't get over the staff not fixing the fact that they forgot to service our room. If we wanted to go to a cheaper place that wouldn't service the room, I'd go to la Quinta or best western. We stay to those types of hotels sometimes. But we paid for service. We didn't get it on our last day. So that's why I give the cotton sail 3 stars. Hopefully this isn't a pattern with other guests.
Definitely will be coming back! The staff are welcoming, friendly, and pleasant to deal with. The hotel style is absolutely beautiful! I adore rustic design so I automatically fell Inlove walking through the doors. The rooms and the hotel are super clean, great comfortable beds. Smells so nice and fresh and clean. High ceilings which make the room feel and look bigger, definitely a plus! Love all of the patio options to lounge and hangout at in the front of the hotel and in the back facing river street. This will become our permanent hotel when we travel to Savannah.
