This hotel does not deserve a star. The room I was giving was the nastiest room I have seen in my life. I have proof that includes video and pictures. I have footage of the whole ordeal. I spent my hard errand money on a place i thought would have been relaxing so I could get a piece of mind away from everyone. I stayed up all night video taping I could not sleep I could not bath I was scared to close my eyes bc I didn't want nothing crawling on me. I have video the sheets do not get changed they do not clean anything. Something has to be done about this asap. I have never experiences this in my life.
You get what you pay for. Right next to the highway. Room is clean enough for me while attending a local course but wouldn't keep my family here for more than a night. TV has digital channels programmed but they don't work (analog stations only). Towels are present but don't match and are obviously older. Hotel really needs a solid remodel but it's good enough for me by myself.
Terrible. We called ahead to book two king sized nonsmoking rooms at a special rate and was assured that since we where paying with cash that they would be held and no need to reserve with a card. When we got there only one room was reserved so they had to place us in a room on the back side that was really bad looking and no outside lights along with some rough looking characters in the stair well. I'm pretty sure we witnessed a drug deal take place but just did our best not to draw attention to ourselves so we hurried by. Once inside the room we where nearly knocked down by the smell of stale smoke and the 2 queen sized beds that we had to pay 20 extra dollars for BC they where more than the king size that was supposed to have been reserved but wasn't where actually standard full beds. The room was nasty, mold in the tub and above the bed on the walls. The toilet wouldn't flush, the microwave wouldn't work and the TV kept going out. I can assure you that if I could have found another room that night we would have left. When we approached the girl behind the desk her only explanation was that the room was on the side that hadn't been renovated yet. While at the desk speaking to her a man ran in screaming call 911 apparently a young man had gotten messed up on drugs and was cutting himself and had to be taken out in an ambulance. This was the worst experience I've ever had in a motel and most certainly will never return. I would rate this a zero star if I could but it didnt give me that option
The bathroom was literally covered in mold, from floor to ceiling. The room smelt like smoke, even though it was none smoking. The beds where stained and clearly about 10 years past their expected use. The refrigerator did not get cold and was filthy. There was no breakfast to speak of even though we were there for the specified timeframe. Additionally, it looks as if a lot of guests here call this place home rather than a hotel.
I booked the hotel in advance through a 3rd party. I was 1.5hrs away from the hotel and traveling at night so I called to let the hotel know we were on the way. The person I spoke with said they didn't have our reservation, that the 3rd party never sent it to them. The 3rd party booking company wasn't open for customer service so I called the hotel back. The hotel insisted they didn't have my reservation and I noted I was traveling with my dogs. The attitude of the staff member changed after I mentioned I had my dogs with me and acted as if I was being an inconvenience. The hotel told me they only had one king room available for the weekend and they couldn't guarantee it would be available by the time I got there. I said I will give you my credit card now to hold it. I'm not going to drive another 1.5hrs (to arrive around 10:30pm) and be trying to find a hotel to stay at. The staff member proceeded to tell me that "everywhere was very busy and rates were really high for the weekend" I said OK so how much is the one room you have left? She said $120 per night. I said the reason I booked this was b/c the rate I was given was $47 a night. Not $120. i'm also not driving another hour and half to possibly not have a hotel room or to pay more than double the price I was originally given. The staff member I talked to wasn't trying to help me or accommodate the situation. Her solution was for me to drive there that night without guaranteeing me anything and that once I got there and showed her my reservation that maybe they could help me.
The next morning I called the 3rd party booking company and they confirmed that my reservation had been emailed and faxed to the hotel. The 3rd party called and spoke with the hotel manager and the hotel manager confirmed it was the hotel's error with losing our reservation. The hotel did end up giving us a king non-smoking room for a greatly reduced rate, comparable to what I originally booked weeks prior.
Upon check in Saturday our reservation did not include any information that we were traveling with pets. My fiance told the staff member that he heard me tell them multiple times on the phone that we had pets with us however it had never been notated on our reservation at any point prior.
The carpet in the room as you opened the door was torn up and fraying. The carpet tacks were poking up and were a hazard. The bed was awful. The room smelled faintly of smoke and mildew. I've stayed in nicer hotels for $50 a night. It would be highway robbery for this hotel in this condition to charge anyone $120 per night and take that money.
I will be honest after booking the hotel and then reading the reviews further in depth I was slightly apprehensive about our stay but we prayed for the best. We arrived and the front staff was very friendly. The rooms have been remodeled and was nice, don't get me wrong this is not a 4-5 star hotel but for the price it was very nice. Pool was very big and overall clean during our stay. My only complaint was that while in the pool one evening there was some obviously "high" guys at the neighboring hotel and they were acting shady like. But that is not the hotels fault. Overall we were very pleased with our stay.
We arrived in the midst of a hostile customer complaining after being shown 3 alternate rooms for the 1 she was displeased with. Joni, the Front Desk Clerk kept her patience and resolve and continued to try to please her while the "Check In" line backed up. Due to 1 CUSTOMER it slowed down check in. NO ERROR on the Hotel's part. We got a King Size Non-Smoking room which to me was wonderful. Huge TV, comfy bed, cool A/C and we're about to jump in the pool now! This area has few "budget friendly" options for hotels so this isn't a 5 Star Resort but for less than $100 after tax in this area, it was a delightful room. We are truly enjoying our stay and couldn't really ask for more. Posting pics of the room and will post A.M. breakfast and lobby.
There were roaches in our room. Minimal towels. Breakfast wasn't great. Pool was nice until homeless came to do their laundry in it. Loud, long disagreement from homeless outside of room. Phone did not work. Mirrors were nasty.
The bathroom commode over flowed that night. We called the front desk around 11pm and spoke to a young lady. She said that she would have someone come up to room 219. No one came and my husband had to clean all of the water from the bathroom to the vanity area. My husband dipped the water from the commode. The front desk called and said she was looking to change our rooms. Thirty minutes went by and we did not hear from her, another 15 minutes went by and I called back to the front. She says they were booked and she could not contact maintenance. She asked how could she make our visit comfortable. I asked her to give us a discount on our room. She says that she would leave a message for the manager. The orange juice was watered down and it was barely enough waffle mix . Another guest was at the front desk complaining their toilet was overflowed. She was told that they would be checked into another room. I went to the front desk after hearing this and asked did they get my complaint on Saturday night. The young lady said the manager was not in and she would have him contact me. As of today, I have not heard from the manager. The internet would not gather a connection at all. The air started to blow out warm air that Saturday night. Another complaint that I have is the tenants from the Knights Inn. The pool separate the two hotel and is shared. the Knights Inn is drug infested that and makes the pool area very unattractive. Maintenance should be on call for plumbing issues.
My family and I (two adults, two children aged 8 & 4) stayed overnight. The room was comfortable and priced very well. The air conditioner would not turn off, however. I had to adjust the temperature of the air coming out. Other than this we had no complaints.
everything was great and the staff is very nice and helpful. We missed some gluten free and dairy free options for breakfast. Thanks!
I made a reservation a month ago. They rented out all available rooms, even though I was told that I can check in late when I made the reservation. I had to search all over the area trying to find a room after driving 12 hours. I was able to get my money back.
We were there to stay during hurricane Matthew. It was really bad. There was drug activity and we checked out early because there was fighting a few rooms down and the people that were there broke out the window. We did not feel safe. Granted it was during the hurricane but there were about 10 people in each room. Also the room was not clean and the plumbing barely worked. If it were not for the extenuating circumstances, we definately would not have stayed.
The hotel has a nice location for my visit: the corner of I-95 and Abercorn Street. The hotel was undergoing renovations, but a lot of hotel was unpleasant. The staff was very nice, however, and the value was pretty good. Overall, not too bad for the price.
