We bought a table and chairs. Delivery was set for over a week away. We received 2 or 3 phone calls telling us the same date and time frame (7am-11am). After the second call, I called customer service and just asked if they could change us to the afternoon due to a doctor's appointment. I was told we would have to change the day because it is all computerized and could not be altered. We dealt with it but still never got a different time frame--always 7am-11am, because the computer said so. The morning of the delivery we got a call at 6:55am that they were here. No call saying they were on their way, just that they were here. The worker who came in first had a chip on his shoulder and was rude the entire time. When we said something about the timing, he told us to call customer service. Didn't need to, they called us to seeyou how things went. We told them and once again I addressed the time frame and once again got the song and dance about the computer. We were first on the list and were still told 7-11. Because of a recent move, we have had several deliveries and this was the worst. Absolutely NO regard for the customers, just the computer. Unbelievable! No wonder the store was never crowded when we were there. The only people decient to us in the store were the ones who were making the sales. Everyone else we talked to was curt and could not be bothered. Hopefully they won't be around long! Wish there was some rating less than a 1.
Barbara was a great salesperson. Would go back and see her if I had the need for more furniture. Had a great experience.
I spent over $5,000 at RTG. We completely outfitted our new house. First off, the delivery was missing multiple chairs, and had a carpet pad I never ordered that they charged me an extra $200 for. The sectional couch I bought started shedding sharp feathers and sagging terribly within 1 yr. I tried to deal with it, yet after a couple more months it got worse. I called customer service offered to return it for a better couch, and I would pay the difference. The woman on phone was short and basically told me not ONE single thing can be done and I had to "deal with it". Im disgusted by the lack of customer service by this company and the reviews obviously show it. I will never spend one dime with this company and will be sure to divulged the multiple errors with my experience, and sorry excuse for customer service to anyone inquiring about Rooms to Go.
I wouldn’t buy from this place place again. First couch dropped in yard and broken by delivery guys. That couch was amazingly discontinued 3 days later and I had to go back to pick out something else and anything comparable was $500 more. Now, the new delivery was 1 day late (not terrible, but thanks for guaranteeing something you can NOT back or explain). And different delivery guys couldn’t figure out how to get the couch in my house so they punctured a hole in my Sheetrock ceiling and ripped my front door trim to pieces. Conveniently enough, no one is responsible enough to return my calls now. Screw Rooms to Go! Go to Ashley and pay a little more for quality/service.
We have shopped here, but the salesperson tactics are irritating. Their prices are decent, but it's not like you can go to another furniture store to compare prices on same or like items.
Spent over 5k on a living room set and entertainment center. The first time leather was scratch with my door and legs were chipped. They were replaced a second time and these are chipped as well. It seems that they would not last long so I want to return them. What a headache instead of being enjoying our furniture we only have a waste of time with this back and forth and pretty upset morning. The quality of the leather is cheap and it seems like the warehouse and delivery people are careless. If I already have them changed why do they still send me defective ones? That's lack of respect for the customer and I will not tolerate that. This will be my last time buying here. 200 delivery fee for what, so it can be mishandled? I am tired of dealing with these people. Reviews are kind of similar so that tells you a lot of this company.
Heather Smith is pretty great. She was very friendly and not pushy, informed but not snobby. We got a Martello blue leather sofa and love seat that they did not actually have in the showroom (that's why 4 instead of 5 starsbecause if they have it on the website they ought to at least have a swatch in the store). But, Heather explained, if you buy it without seeing it, RTG has a policy that you can refuse it within 48 hours of delivery at your home, so we reluctantly went ahead. Our sofa and love seat are beautiful and seem to be very high quality. Delivery was flawless, and the communication was great all the way. We had 4 chairs delivered the day before from Pottery Barn, and between the two, our Rooms To Go experience was a lot betterso, thanks!
Very nice showroom. Found exactly what I wanted. Very nice Sales Professional, Mike Gill.
Absolutely awful experience! I ordered a living room set and dining room table with chairs. They have been to my house three times now and the order is still not right!! I continuously ask to speak to a manager or someone who loads the delivery trucks but get directed to other people who help less than the one before. The furniture that I do have is nice and at a pretty good price but the overall experience has been AWFUL.
Let me start off by saving this company has blocked me from using their facebook page deleted mine as well as other commenters for leaving HONEST reviews. This company is nothing by liars cheaters and scammers. My husband and I purchased a living room set just shy of two years ago. Here we are still fighting to get what we were promised upon purchasing. Let me start off by telling about delivery. Our delivery drivers called multiple times. Each time he would stop talking to me and start laughing and joking with other guys in the truck while I was trying to give directions. Finally show up 2 hours late. They pull up at the end of our street and put our stuff together at the end of the road, in turn scratching up the coffee table and end tables. My husband and I had to carry ourselves back to our house. Then comes the couch delivery. When we purchased we were told if one piece needs replacing, all 3 pieces would be replaced (as long as it was a warranty issue). Had to have a piece replaced due to tearing on delivery. Well, they delivered us a second love seat. Contact the company yet again, show proof our couch was shorter than its supposed to be, but they won't do anything about it. Fast forward to my niece spilling juice on our recliner in the middle of summer in South Georgia. They tell us when they come out that it was urine in the chair and they don't cover that in the warranty. A year later I'm still fighting to get things justified. Here we are two years later having to purchase a whole new seat so we have a something. This company will do whatever it takes to bot have to follow their promises to people. It's absolutely sickening to see not only the way we were treated but others as well. I'm sick and tired of telling that we don't piss in chairs and leave it sitting that our furniture is stained beyond repair. I'm yet again emailing with customer service about getting it looked at again via emailing pictures about the chair, but they dodge the question as to why I'm blocked from their page for leaving my reviews and others as well.
The worst experience ever!!!! They have good sales people that will sell you the store but will forget to mention the terrible "contracted" delivery staff that will come in scratch your walls refuse to install different pieces and leaveand don't worry about calling copra rate office for its nothing they can do either. Well that's what she mentioned to me. Spent more than 20k in the store to be treated like crap. That's ok won't refer and definitely will not spend another red cent there.
If I could give them zero starts, I would. Bought one sofa and noticed it was damaged when it was delivered. Instead of replacing it, they told me I could go pick out one of equal or greater value. I go back up to the store and picked out the only other one I like, which costs less. So to make up the difference (plus a couple hundred dollars) I picked a couple tables. When they all got delivered, I noticed the sofa was again damaged. Called customer service and was told that this sofa had been discontinued but they could authorize a release (or something to that effect). I got a call a few weeks later saying that due to Hurricane Matthew, the delivery would have to be rescheduled (which is understandable, Savannah was under an evacuation order) and that I would be contacted at a later date to reschedule the delivery. After not hearing anything, I called today and was told that no release could be issued because there was no more in stock. Regardless if I had one already being scheduled for dilivery. Now I am back to square one where, if I want an undamagged sofa, I must go pick out another with greater or equal value. No return policy. Please, do yourselves a favor and go somewhere else.
Update: After I sent in the requested information (see their response below), I still got no f****** help. Sent in all the requested information for them to never responde. Now it's been longer than the 30 day window I had to trade it in so I'm stuck with a ripped sectional. I beg and plead with anyone reading this, go somewhere else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First of all if I could have gave them a zero I would . whatever you do go someplace else it has been a nightmare from day one. we ordered a mattress set the mattress was not the one we seen on the show room floor. And they ordered the wrong box springs plus we were told that the mattress cover and protector was included it was not it was an extra $150 which they will not give us back. we went back to the showroom about our mattress set I had to call corporate to get a new mattress because the store could only do the box springs that they ordered wrong . I got my delivery a week and a half later it was the same box springs I have .so now I need to make another delivery date to get my box springs hopefully they're the right ones this time and the person in charge won't refund any type of delivery charge or help get the money back for an item that was told that was included with your purchase don't go there I would spend extra money to buy elsewhere.. you think that a person in charge would try and do something to take care of your frustration of receiving the wrong items not once but twice and waiting on a 3rd delivery date but in this case they can care less if your customer or not.
.
I can't speak for everyone else's experience, and it's a shame they had such a bad one, but I went in on this Sunday afternoon knowing exactly what I wanted. I met Eddie right when I walked in, I told him I just wanted to get my mattress off of the floor, he didn't try to sell me on a fancy bed set he took me straight to a plain Jane floor model bed frame and I was driving off with a bed frame in less than 30 minutes. If I can give anyone a little bit of advice, research and go in store. Don't order online. Go in knowing what you want and if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
