Great pub!
Grabbed a quick drink after a long day. Loved the atmosphere.
The abs worst experience I have ever had. We waited 13 minutes after we were seated and no one had even taken a drink order. I had to get up and go up to our waitress to get her to even act like we were there. Then 33 minutes after we were seated she stopped by and said "you guys doing ok?". Why yes we came in for a glass of water and a Coke. I had to actual tell her we would like to order. Then my sandwich was burned and my fries ice cold. Never ever had poorer service or food in my life. Don't bother and find somewhere else.
I went here for the St. Pat's festivities. It's a big Irish bar with an open space and stage in the middle for bands and performances. I don't think I'd come back for a normal day, but it was cool for the occasion - they had some Irish bands and Irish school dance teams perform. Also, the appetizers were pretty good - I tried the fries and the corned beef egg roll.
I've been to The Abbey for lots of shows back in "the day". Now I mostly go for the restaurant.
The Abbey as a venue is great. I've enjoyed showed from right up in front of the stage, to in the balcony. The sound is good and I've never been disappointed.
The restaurant is pretty good. It's typical pub food and depending on the day/time you go there, the service is hit or miss.
The food, the atmosphere, the music was more than your average nightclub. The go-go dancers kept the party going all night long. The drinks were reasonable priced, my only complaint is that most of the drinks while strong, were not very flavorful in terms of taste. I would recommend more drink education. The two people dressed up in fox mascot outfits and they made my night!! Love the abbey thank you for the memorable experience!!!!!!
