See a lot of wilderness a lot of Chipmunks also turkey and deer they have a great damn that there is an area to swim also some sand also they have kayaks and canoes you can rent for an hour you can also fish there

This state forest, like others in Central PA, has lots of opportunities for hiking, and as I most enjoy, birdwatching. Great areas for listening to whip-poor-wills in the spring evenings, especially near clearings. Good areas to hunt for rattlesnakes, too.

Backpacked a portion of the Quehanna Trail. Nice, well marked trails, with great maps available at the Parker Dam State Park office, which is also where you register for anything more than a day hike. The section I was in is pretty remote, although there are a few forest roads that run through. If you are doing a multi day backpacking trip on the Quehanna Trail, I highly suggest getting the free it will help guide you to water sources.
