What a wonderful experience.
The only complaint I have was in cabin 4 the floors were a stoney concrete, so the kids feet hurt and had to wear shoes. They do have some thin rugs down on the floors to help, but the kids still couldn't do it. The other cabins may be different. This isn't a deal breaker though.
These cabins are well maintained, and are perfect for a few couples or a small family. Includes firewood and a pot belly stove as well as radiant heat that has controls in almost every room. Gorgeous cabin inside and out.
The owner is a pleasant person to deal with, and is a very personable man. Firm handshake!
These cabins are on the elk scenic trail. Saw many elk all around the cabin areas. The Benzette Elk County Visitor Center is only a few miles up the road.
You do not park near the cabins, for good reason. It's a little tight there for many vehicles to be going back there.
For your bags you must park in the parking lot and use the provided wagons, which were great to use by the way, to bring all your bags, food, etc. to the cabin. It is a little walk, maybe 200 feet? I didn't pace it, but it's not horrible.

My husband, two babies and I stayed back in May. It was right after Memorial Day so we were the only guests there! You load your luggage onto a cart (well constructed and covered, too!) and then pull them to your cabin. The cabins are sooo nice and well stocked!! The owners are friendly, we only saw them doing chores around the grounds. Each cabin has it's own firepit but there look like there are 2 communal firepits as well. I think these would have been fun if we had stayed at a time when there were other guests.
We really loved it here and hope to stay again! Very peaceful surroundings.response / report this review -

A great place to stay, clean, peaceful, cabins are well furnished, even a wood supply of our fire pit and the woodstove inside-we used both! We saw may elk while visiting-even right outside our cabin, Just Perfect!

Great cabins, great service with the outdoors experience that you will just love. These cabins have everything you need, water, bathroom, shower, hot water, in door and outdoor fire place with a modest supply of wood to use with the base price. All the utensils needed including stove, microwave and coffee pot. An outdoor swing, a fire lit and peace and quiet in the great out doors. Very close to elk country and Benezette PA which is why we chose this place. We saw many elk in the area. Thank You so much for a great time. There is no cell service In this large area but there was internet at these cabins. We did try to hold back on the electronics and enjoy the great outdoors. Success.

What a great place to stay! Two years running and going for a third! Quiet, comfortable and very clean. Owners are great! My 1st choice for visiting the northern tier of Pa.
