Hanging out with friends and family was great because we had a private room. Also, the pool table gave us a way to have something other than drinking to do. Prices are moderate and the crab sliders are awesome. Would go back in the future.

Sophisticated and classy, but bring a fat wallet. Ballers and models will feel right at home - not so much anyone else trying to turn up on a budget. Private players lounge is spacious, well appointed and your private concierge does her best to make sure you and your guests have anything you want. Oh yeah, and the food is absolutely amazing!

Fantastic Bar/lounge, easy to get too the Music is great the place is a decent size my suggestions is they make it bigger but a Must visit if ur in the city .

Design is beautiful, however, the staff is unprofessional and there is little value in the party packages that can be purchased on their website. A group of friends and I came to 40/40 to celebrate a birthday. We purchased a VIP package and also ate at the restaurant prior to being "seated" in "VIP". Servers were nice but highly unprofessional and untrained. One of the ladies brought my friend a piece of lime for her drink with her bare fingers at the dinner table. After ordering our food, we were told that the shrimp pasta would have an extra $10 charge. We inquired about the additional charge and was told that it covers the cost of the shrimp. However, the menu had no information about the charge. After we asked for the manager, another server came to our table and asked what our questions was. Although she was not the manager that we asked for, we entertained her and asked her for a reasoning. Her answer was no different from the previous server. We asked to speak to a manager again. After this request our original server came out to inform us that her manager said it was ok and that we did not have to pay the $10 extra. Food came and was lacking seasoning. Before our plates were cleared, we were told by our servers that we had to get up because there was another reservation. We were shocked that they would ask guests to get up but we complied and asked to be placed in our VIP. Our server stated that if we were supposed to be placed in VIP, she would've sat us there and that it is much nicer. She stated that it was not her fault that we were not placed in VIP for dinner because we did not tell her. We assured her that it was okay ( but also confused about the type of apology given). We sat for about 30 minutes and waited to be prompted to move to our section. The server came and stated that her manager said that where we were sitting, was VIP. We were in total shock because there is a CLEAR VIP section in 40/40 and this was not it. The section that we ate in for dinner was located just to the right of the door and there were people that casually entered to be seated. If this was VIP, what did we pay for? I could've walked in off the street and been seated for $500 less. The manager finally came to the table and attempted to recover the night but it was a total bust. We asked for a refund before we received our "VIP" items and was told "no" because he had already blew up balloons and ordered a cake (these were some items that we prepaid for) from the corner store. All of which probably cost $40. I felt like we got scammed. All we could think about is how this is not what we thought we paid for and the servers and unprofessionalism aggravated us even more.

Inside is a beautiful set up, but I wouldn't expect anything less. I go here when I wanna feel extra fancy and to be cute in the club. The food isn't the best but if your really hungry it'll do.

This place is bad for food service. Order was wrong, then brought out another person's order. Charged me for stuff that was not mine. Takes for ever to get a drink and that was at 6pm. I couldn't imagine how long it takes when busy here. Brand was just way off. I think of great things when I think Jay z. I can't believe he puts his name on this place.

The atmosphere was great, food, and the DJ was great. But I bought a VIP package, that included was suppose to include "according to the website" VIP seating, a baseball cap, t-shirt, and photos. Well the photos was taken with a Polaroid type camera that didn't come out to great, the pictures were smaller than a 4 X 6, the pictures that my party took with our camera phone came out better than the pictures that was in our package. We did not get the baseball cap or t-shirt as the package stated, but our server told us that we had to pick which souvenir we wanted. The VIP seating was just a reserved table in the front. I think had my party would have known, we would of just paid to get in and took our own pictures with our phone and just ordered our food, and they charged my card twice.

This club/ bar is quite mediocre in my opinion; it's designed very well and the inside is lavish but I believe it's mostly hype because of Jay. The music was good but it was empty on a Friday night
The fries were delicious and the drinks were expensive and not worth it. Also tried Dusse but I wasn't a fan of it 🤢. Maybe I could see myself going back here for a major event but I wouldn't attend during an average night out of all the clubs in nycresponse / report this review -

By far my favorite sports bar. Jay Z definitely runs a great place. Atmosphere is top drawer, gold bottles all up and down the walls behind the bar, gold baseball bats lining walls behind booths. Food menu is somewhat limited, but all tastes great. Highly recommend ordering a beer bucket, makes for some of the cheaper beer in the city per bottle. Great place to watch major sporting events, my buddies and I always get reservations here to see big fights or playoff games. Final thing that impressed me is that when the DJ goes on duty he turns up great music during the commercials and then when the game's back on they turn down the music and turn up the TV volume so you can hear commentary, which somehow makes the experience considerably better.

Pretty solid place to watch a game or fight, featuring music featuring hip-hop mogul and co-owner Jay-Z every three or four songs. Probably not what they are known for, but I was very impressed with their nachos - evenly spread toppings; not a single chip was left uncheesed! Also, they have a special for cheap beers - bucket of 5 for $35. Pretty solid deal, and enough to sit back and finish off an NCAA basketball face-off.

Very nice bar and setup! Food was great! Only thing stopped from 5 stars were how the drinks are made. It was $15 per drink unless you bought a bottle or margaritas.

Wow. Great service. Great Crew. Beautiful 3 large VIP rooms with their own billiards room upstairs. My kind of place. Great private party rooms.
