Poor management. Poor quality. Poor neighborhood. Do not live here! Things fall apart and then they charge you for it when you move out even when you’ve requested repairs. It was built poorly but managed nicely in the beginning. New management is unprofessional. It no longer feels like a community.
This place is absurd. I moved into a one bedroom apartment and then moved into a two bedroom apartment in this development. At the time of the move I left some stuff and instead of throwing it away they called and said that I should pick it up which I appreciated it.
When I moved into the second apartment their was lights out and issues, like a faulty showerhead, that they said they would fix but no one ever did. I just went on with life and a few months later decided to leave as the noise was over bearing and you could not sleep. I gave my notice and no one bothered setting up a walk through with me. I had left 3 weeks early and left a bit of stuff in that I later picked up a few days before leaving completely. I called them in regards to some cash being stolen from my property and asked if anyone on staff had been in there and they said no. I gave them the benefit of the doubt.
Upon leaving I left about 25 dozen pairs of shoes totaling up to $1200 worth of shoes. I called 2 days after I moved out and they said they threw them away and that they were working on giving me back my deposit. I gave them the benefit of the doubt again.
A month ago I get a call from a creditor saying I owed $546 for the apartment. I had never received a call email or later stating that I owed them that previously.
I went up there to the apartment front office last week and they suggested they emailed me three times with no response so they had to sell the debt. I asked if I could talk about my deposit and why they would do that without speaking to me first to dispute the stained carpet, which was already stained when I moved in, and they said it is out of their hands now and I could come back next week when the manager was there.
Long story short I called the collection company and they stated they could do nothing for me now and that I had to pay or it would damage my credit. I was being held hostage and could do nothing but pay. So I did.
This place looks nice on the inside but is a nightmare to deal with when it comes to common sense and sensible solutions. There was nothing I did that would have had the carpet be replaced as they indicated. They did not have to throw away my property. They did not have to send 3 emails and then pawn me off to collections. A simple phone call would have been appreciated. I am sure someone will respond to this but the facts are everything I have stated. Be aware.
It is first time to write a review.
Please GET A WAY this apartment.
Customer service is very rude in my life.
Even though not my fault!!! You have to pay all Our family never get this kind of things(this kind of rude). I would like to talk about this issue to own manager!! and they not explain anything.in addition they look like a racism.very disappointed that.
We have had a dream and hoping for AMERICA life.so we work hard and do best in our life
days However this staff all! We feel terrible and horrible.
We count that day to leave here.. surely i
We stayed at this complex for few months while waiting for our new home to be completed. The staffs at the front office are rude and belligerent, expecially Patricia. On moving out we were charged about $625 for stained carpet what should have been normal wear and tear I have never written a review before, however i can not hold back due to my horrible experience, i wwould NOT recommend this appt complex.
I have never written a review in my life but this shows the extent to which i was horrified by an encounter with an office staff just now. I called to ask for an administrative service and Patricia told me I can do it online. I explained that I went on line and searched but did not find anyway to print my payments. She then said that they do not do so and have I put in my notice if i am exploring leaving. I said quite flippantly that that was not the issue yet as my lease did not end until closer to the end of the year. This seems to have caused an untoward reaction as her response in a strident voice was "It is an issue". I then said, this is not an antagonistic conversation, I am just trying to get some help. I was told " how dare you call my office asking for a favor and accuse me of being antagonistic?" I said I did not . the response was "yes you did". I was so shocked i blurted out "wow". She responded, "there is no need to be shocked". I asked why she seemed so angry and that I have had a wonderful experience with the people in the office to date. She then proceeded to lecture me still quite loudly on how she had done this for 20 years, she was not angry, nothing i said made her angry, she does not take this job home with her, and she knew the process and my request was nothing new, I tried to interrupt that my initial request was not what she is assuming -not for a mortgage company and she threatened to hang up on me if i did not let her talk. I hung up after that, I was close to tears.
I have never had such a brutal, horrible, encounter with a person who was supposed to be providing customer service, I felt demeaned, her tone made me feel I was nothing, nobody. Who would converse with another human being, a stranger like that?
I really horrible about this encounter.
HORRIBLE. I've lived here for two years and to be honest, if it wasn't for the granite counter tops and crown molding I would have moved much much sooner. The management and staff do not care about you AT ALL - they have an "i'm sorry and you are" personality, & the rent is more than a mortgage would be. Don't get me wrong the apartment is nice and it was a good location before they put the main event in our parking lot.
I like it here with all my friends and the cool things they have. But I hope that terraces will let the kids here have some freedom. But over all this place is amazing. It is comfortable. It is clean and it lives near. Walmart so u can shop faster and not use a lot of gas.
I've lived at The Terraces At Suwanee Gateway now for 2+ years and it has been an absolute pleasure! Let me start by stressing just how phenomenal the location is. Interstate 85 is a 1/4 mile away on the same road, Kroger and Publix are down the way, and Walmart is literally right across the street. Also, there's a QT right on the corner of L'ville Suwanee/ Satellite Rd., Starbucks 500 feet away, and a brand new Main Event in the adjacent parking lot, so YES, you are covered. Necessities for a happy, convenient, espresso filled life are near I tell you. Naturally, there are numerous other brand new dining spots within walking distance, so that's lovely to say the least. There is no gate (or speed bumpsbless!) which is basically what sold me, because let's be real, they're almost useless, and waiting on them is a pain. Gates are for Alcatrazthis is Suwanee, which has the lowest crime rate in all of America. "Play Hard, Live Well, Smile More" - they literally have their own slogan because they know this, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't love it. Rent is online, the gym is a double decker which has glass walls and looks over one rad, saltwater pool, surrounded by palm trees. Summer priorities are covered and everyone wins with the windows. They do a great job of keeping everyone up to date through emails, and it really makes it feel like a community more than anything due to the constant communication. They have At&t for their internet service provider, and it is awesome! It's all fiber optic, so no more shared bandwidth issues. No one likes to chill and have their Netflix buffer. Lastly, there are elevators, tons of lights, and ceiling fans in the hallways. Moving in is a literally breeze, and I will remember that to this day. Again I've lived here for 2+ years and I've yet to have any type of significant issue with anything here. It's kept up well, the people who live here are friendly, and you feel safe day and night. The only thing that they lack is valet laundry pickup and room service on the weekends. I'm sure ill get an email about that as soon as they implement it though.
See you guys at the pool!

My wife and I recently moved from Terraces. I will say that a majority of the staff are great. Maintenance folks are friendly and respond pretty quickly. My interactions with most office staff were great and friendly. The manager and the new management that happened about a year ago have not been a great transition. The two times I intersected with manager about maintenance requests, I was essentially brushed off - and both were issues with heating/cooling unit. I also heard similar experiences with manager from other residents - all of whom have since moved out as well.
The apartments are fine aesthetically, but the construction is shoddy (thin walls and ceilings) and appliances do not last. We had many issues with our air, had a dishwasher replaced, and carpet bubble up.
There were some recent issues with theft, likely because it is such close proximity to 85.
All in all, a majority of the people there are great, but I would not recommend the units due to cost, maintenance, management, and noise.
I've been living here for almost a year. I love all the amenities onsite like the pool, gym, theatre and billiards. Not to mention the property is always clean. It's a jewel in the heart of Suwanee!
